Beaconlea

Pros: Great view and breezes. Close to restaurants and coffee. Charis Seafood a five minute walk with amazing fresh fish and 704 bus which connects you to the tram in Southport. Spacious unit with comfortable beds and great water pressure for showers. Good parking. Nice pool.
Cons: Ask for a higher unit. Really noisy road during holiday/high season. E bikes and scooters on footpaths outside are a nightmare. The second floor unit we stayed in needed more cook ware. No salad or microwave bowls. No air conditioner in bedrooms which is ok with fans below 30 degrees but not above. Need better window furnishings to deal with glare.

We complained about the mildew in the shower, torn curtains (not his problem) and mould on them. Broken crockery and windows you couldn't see out of. Bed hard as the floor.
Was told to clean the shower my self, or could go somewhere else and not stay. Blood on pillow case, or no case. Was told they are spares.

If I could give 0 stars I would — owner abused us when we raised the issue that a piece of furniture broke in a room we weren’t even in at the time, threatened to call the police and escalated the issue incredibly fast without even having a chat. Disgusting service and would strongly advise others to not stay here.

No door on the ensuite bathroom and ceiling fans in the bedrooms didn't work. Inconsiderate speedboat owner racing up and down close to shore at 630 in the morning. If you are hoping for a romantic shower for 2, forget it. Showers were smaller than a phone booth. Well equipped kitchen, nice smart TV and AC in the lounge room were positives. The owners need to fix things for guests. Chin (manager) tried his best.

Absolutely perfect on everything. Great location, easy check in, apartment was spotless and spacious. Stunning views. Just a wonderful stay. So close to everything an easy and beautiful walk. Looking forward to staying again. Thank you Beaconlea 😊

I have taken my family to stay at Beaconlea many times. This trip I took my 3 grandchildren and they simply loved it as we all had plenty of space for ourselves. The location and views are superb as well as being very handy to everything. Each morning, after beautiful walks around the waterfront enjoying all of the amentities and playgrounds, we swam in the heated pool. After long days at theme parks we were pleased to stay at home to eat and valued the well equipped and updated kitchen. Everything we could have wished for was available and welcoming.

We had a room booked 12A till the 8/3/25, on the 3/3/25 my partner went and spoke to manager regarding cyclone Alfred, manager stated that we would be fine and he thought that there would be nothing to worry about, on the 4/3/25 police visited the building leaving pamphlets for every room advising everyone " if you are on holidays leave", if you live here there was a list of things that they should do for their own safety. 5/3/25 my partner went down to manager and informed him we were leaving due to Cyclone Alfred, we weren't supposed to "check out" until the 8/3/25 and my partner asked the manager if we were able to get a refund for the 3 nights we could stay due to cyclone and the manager refused, stated that " if we stayed here he may of given us a couple of days cheaper after the cyclone but could not give us a refund for the days we are not staying for.
Not happy with management, if I was leaving on my on accord I would understand but this is a natural disaster I have no control of, as much as I like it there unfortunately I will not be back to beaconlea tower apartments.

Booking for 12 nights made in July 2024 through Agoda for stay Jan 2025. Booking confirmed by Agoda and Beaconlea. Payment made pre stay through Agoda. Messaged Beaconlea through Agoda messaging system 30 mins prior to boarding international flight from New Zealand to be advised that our booking was cancelled as Beaconlea have no contract/further business with Agoda (noting they are still advertising with Agoda) but we can book directly with Beaconlea for more than twice agreed price. No other option but to confirm and pay given flying internationally, in peak tourist season and no time for other options. And when we arrived tried to charge us a further $10 per night from agreed through Agoda messaging. Entered room without warning. Very disappointed with the whole situation. Feels like the whole interaction was underhanded and Agoda is being used to lure people in, and then cancelling with no notice, backing people into a corner for more money. Would not recommend.

I booked two units at Beconlea some months before our intended stay in January 2025. The booking was through Agoda and was paid for through their site. Four days before travel, I called the hotel to ask about parking. They claimed to not have a booking and that they don't deal with Agoda anymore. They refused to honor the booking but said that the units I had booked were available to me if I cancelled through Agoda and then booked directly through the hotel. I was then quoted prices at least 70% more than I had paid through Agoda. What a disgrace — I have never received such poor customer service at any hotel. I called Agoda, who then called the hotel, but they wouldn't budge. Agoda were wonderful and more than compensated me for the inconvenience. My strong advice is to avoid this hotel altogether, but if you decide to book then be very cautious about using a booking site such as Booking. Com, Trivago etc. Based on my experience, how can you have any confidence that your booking will be honored?

Absolutely nightmare! Booked months ahead before flying into Brisbane for our family holiday. Booking has been confirmed & fully paid for our rooms. An hour before we arrive (driving from Brisbane), received information that our rooms had been cancelled without any reason given. Avoid this place if you want to enjoy your holiday without any surprises. When we called the hotel, all we get is bad service & rude communication.

My booking & payment was made with Agoda 2 months before my check in date for Xmas eve. The Manager of Beaconlea Apartments was very nervous upon my check in & said his computer system did not line up with Agoda & he did not receive any funds. I contacted Agoda who confirmed the full payment was released & booking was confirmed. It appears the Manager just simply double booked us & left us out on the street on Xmas eve at 4pm — 12 hours from home. No contact was made by the. Manager prior to trying to check in. Agoda were great & refunded my money in full & gave. Me a credit for. A. Future booking. Terrible experience!

Stayed here for four nights in the 2 bedroom apartment and it was absolutely so beautiful! The views from the balcony are amazing as your right in front of the marina!
Plenty of space in the apartment and having two bathrooms and a washing machine & dryer in the apartment was really helpful too!
The lady behind the desk in reception was really friendly and welcoming as well :)

Had a great vacation here. The price was affordable for 7 days staycation for non public holidays. Would definitely gonna come back here again. The owner was very friendly and helpful! Accessible parking and beautiful views! you can view sunrise here and clean environment😊

Great place to stay, the new managers are very friendly and helpful. Location is fantastic on the Broadwater, second time staying there and will stay again.

Apartment was huge and modern. Fantastic views over the bay. Public transport just around the corner and plenty of shops to eat at.

We have stayed here multiple times over the years and have stayed in different rooms. Most rooms are newly renovated. Each room has beautiful view of the broad water. There is a small pool and games room with books and pool table.
