Killarney Hotel

We had a very nice stay at the Killarney Hotel. The room was clean and well presented. The accommodation was basic, but well maintained.
Our Meal at the hotel was very nice — ample sized portions and of good quality.
All the staff we spoke to were absolutely lovely and happy to have a chat!

Rolled in on our motorbikes and provided undercover off street parking at rear. Charming atmosphere great prices and food. Stayed in queen room upstairs opening onto front verandah. Awesome hot shower. Continental breakfast included in room price. Recommend to all.

We stayed at a campsite close by and had two days Sat 4th and Sunday 5th drinking and eating at the pub. The food, drink and the staff were amazing, well done Scotty the owner for making me and my friends very welcome — sorry if we drank too much :). Paul, Chad, Irish, Jason, Brad, Eliza, Germ and Shaz from Brisbane.

Went for dinner. He had the BLT which was excellent. I had a large side of vegetables — total $34. Big mistake — I should have had the small size. Corn, peas, beans, carrots and a pile of mash, all well cooked and hot. With a jug of gravy. Really good.

Get the steak sandwich!
I hate steak sandwiches, my mates kept telling me to get one, all four of us ordered one and by goodness me. Just do it, it would turn a vegan back.
I had a parmy the first time I had visited and it was phenomenal as well.

On Sat 3 Jan '26 we met up with fellow motor homers on our trip to Queen Mary Falls, SE Qld. We discussed stopping over night in Killarney and the couple from the Netherlands were going ahead to check with the pub that we could park up there. We met in the Killarney Hotel bar and enjoyed a few cold beers in a lovely atmosphere and attentive bar staff. Our friends confirmed that the pub is ok with camping O/N in the car park. As I reversed into a back area a chap in a Merc van coming out of the pub yard assertively challenged me for not asking to stop over! We had spent the equivalent of a caravan park fee at the bar and assumed our friends confirmation would suffice — my bad! So I humbly apologized as I pondered on old mates mentality — thinking that business must be very good! We are country people and country pubs welcome RV's for the income, and in return we make a point of spending money to support the local economy. Is Killarney RV friendly? CMCA members can decide themselves!

We have stopped here for the 2nd time. I have to say that the food is excellent. It's fresh and tasty. I had chicken schnitzel with chips and salad then sticky date pudding. So good. We were really happy with our lunch and cold beers. I can only recommend!

They got hammered with visitors at lunchtime and fell behind in their orders. It took a while but they got there and the meal was awesome. What stood out to me is how well it was handled with the publican offering a beer in the house while waiting and checking in a few times while waiting. You dont get good service like that everyday, I would definitely go back again. Sometimes an honest effort to do the best you can is better than being perfect. Good people, well worthy of the support.

We love a good country pub and this one is as good as it gets. Super friendly, the beer is cold and serves a great pub feed. The room was comfy and shared facilities super clean. Aircon worked really well, luckily as a christmas heat wave was backing the region. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Added bonus is the coffee van in the car park serving excellent coffee as well.

I travelled to Killarney via Queen Mary Falls with a friend on our motorcycles. We opted for the motel style accommodation across the carpark from the Hotel. The rooms are a little dated but perfectly presented. Spotlessly clean, quiet, comfortable bed and modernised spotless bathroom. The room is spacious with a small kitchenette, table and chairs, desk and good cupboard space. The covered carpark is perfect. The staff were wonderful on check in. We had a drink and dinner at the bar and restaurant. The food is reasonable priced, very nicely presented and tasty. Good variety, quickly served and pleasant large dining room. This is my umpteenth time at the Killarney Hotel/Motel. It is a real treat. Lovely setting and convenient. Great coffee caravan in the mornings run by the hotel but servicing passers by and travellers. This place is a great getaway, especially mid week although can be very popular and for good reason. Love it.

Great Pub. Had 2 dinners and 1 lunch. Food was great and served hot.
The girls behind the bar were attentive and friendly.
We watched the AFL Grand Final there. There was a good vibe.

Went in for dinner and the vibe was really nice. The food was average country fair. But the service was good and the prices reasonable. Not exceptional, but nothing to complain about either.

0n Sunday 9th June we called in for a pub lunch, and ordered the special of the day. Took seats near the wood heater and had a drink. After waiting a long time our meals came out, BARELY LUKE WARM!. The sausages were still raw in the middle. A cold meal with raw sausages will. Not entice you back. We have travelled widely around Australia and this is the worst pub meal we have ever been served.

Great food and drinks here. Love the atmosphere and the service was great. I’ll definitely return and the crumbed steak with chips and vegetables was the best!

Michelle, the barmaid was exceptional! She knew every locals beverage, poured it unprompted, so they were never without a drink, all while.
Seamlessly promoting the accommodation to folk from out of town, AND handled the busy takeaway orders. All of this is done with a smile and an air of efficiency that most humans lack.
Her ability to multi task is a rare occurrence in pubs these days and I was transported back in time to the 80's when bar staff knew how to hussle to keep the vibe going.
Fabulous hotel with reasonably priced merchandise and a wine list that I was pleasantly surprised with.
The Men were pretty easy on the eye too!
12/10, I look forward to returning soon.

We were greatly surprised by this hotel. The motel was booked out, so we stayed upstairs in the hotel.
$ has been spent on upgrades — new carpets, outdoor heating & electrical. Super comfy beds & immaculately clean rooms & shared facilities. Awesome quiet sitting areas on top verandahs.
Service was also excellent at the bar & bistro + value in meals.
We'll be back.
