Hostel is close to the beach with a good atmosphere but rooms are incredibly dirty and not cleaned properly. The room was filthy on arrival despite asking reception numerous times for a cleaner to clean the room. The cleaner cleans the toilet each day but does not clean floors or bathrooms or hostel floor in rooms effectively. I would have thought for $60 a night and during covid that cleanliness should be a priority but clearly not! Still an affordable option in cooly.
I had a really great time in this amazing Hostel (best hostel I have ever been to). The kitchen is wonderful, you have everything you need to cook delicious meals and enough space to get in touch with all the other people. The rooms are big, we had one of them with a balcony to the oceanside and with a modern bathroom. The Hostel is in first row to the ocean, best located for Surfer, it even has a surfboard room. I would recommend to stay here to everyone and will surely come back! A big Thanks too for the really friendly receptionists!

Pretty gutted that when calling at 8:30 after arriving into Brisbane from WA on a delayed flight due to thunderstorms, that they wouldn’t leave a key out for me or try assist me in making other arrangements so I could sleep in the bed that I paid for 👎🏽 Totally understand policies & procedures, just was a crappy end to a long day of travel… don’t book if you’re not for certain going to make that 9:30 deadline. Staff won’t help, you’ll be let downnnnn & left sleeping in your car (+ won’t get your money back).
