The village was very nice but the appartment wasn't. We booked a one bedroom apartment and basically they gave us the back of a 4 bedroom appartment and locked the main entry and the access to the other side of the house. The entry for the one bedroom side was at the back of the building. The appartment stunk a little bit and was old furnished with even older furniture. The bathroom wasn't sealed and ants were everywhere. The staff was nice and friendly though.

A quiet retreat with exceptional swimming facilities and spas. Respected service where nothing is too much trouble, late check is available. More suited to long tenure than a quick visit where you accommodation is styled like a villa more than a motel. Spas available in room if desired, rooms are comfortable with all the expected necessities. Very spacious with a cozy balcony but no available views. A touch over priced for my liking mainly due to furniture and below par bed in main. Wasn't comfortable at all.

Stayed there for a night, arrived late but were fully accommodated for. Fantastic friendly service, secluded and quite. Has an awesome pool and the option for a spa in your room. Moderately priced Located close to a shopping centre, petrol stations and Royal Pines Resort.

This was an absolutely beautiful place to stay. After I read some of the reviews I was worried but when I arrived at the place we were greated by the lovely office manager who was very helpful to us. The unit we stayed in was beautiful with everything you would need and very spacious. I would definately stay at this place again. The grounds were beautiful and the pools were amazing. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Great staff — Pedro and Robyn make you feel so at home. Clean and spacious too! 90s decor but clean! Close to almost everything that is Gold Coast — highly recommended!

Nice and quiet, peaceful and tranquil bush setting, the sexy Portuguese guy on reception was a delight aswell, very friendly and helpful. But Pedro the other dude was not.

Love it here, very peaceful and relaxing, nice quiet villas and feels very safe because it's like a closed gated community feeling but a resort. Highly recommended.

Where do I start! It seemed nice upon arrival. Big gates and nice entrance but that was probably the best thing about it. The drive in and the drive out. When I went to check in I was informed that I had to pay a $100 bond which was not specified when the booking was made. We had booked a one bedroom apartment but upon arrival we were advised that they didn't have any left so they had "upgraded" us to a 2 bedroom. The only catch being that if we set foot in the second bedroom we would have to pay extra so wasn't really an upgrade at all. The apartment was old and dated. The couches made us itchy. The main bedroom had a really damp smell to it and the ensuite bathroom with the hot tub in it, smelt like sewage. The cupboards in the bathroom were warped and the drawers were broken and crumbling. The hot tub seemed old and dirty, I wouldn't even wash my dog in there. In saying that the hot tub was tiny anyway so you could probably only fit a small child in there and definitely not an adult comfortably. The toiletries consisted of a bottle of cheap squeezy soap stuck to the wall of the shower and next to the bathroom sink. No shampoo or conditioner. Only 2 towels were provided and you had to pay extra if you wanted towels to use in the outdoor pool.
There was free Wi-Fi but the reception dropped in and out all the time so was a waste of time even trying to use it.

Second time staying here and not too bad. Villa we stayed in was alright, with good atmosphere and space. The gardens outside looked great too. Decent facilities, but main outdoor pool was too cold. The attention to detail (e. G the milk provided with the hamper was 2 months out of date) however needs to be addressed and the entire resort altogether needs a bit of an upgrade to stay fresh. Overall, it was a decent place to stay.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 days. We loved our Villa. It was very spacious and relaxing. It was clean, beds was very comfortable. Bathroom was clean and huge. A garage with a washing machine and dryer. It's in a lovely location. We found it very handy and close to the places we drove to. Surfers Paradise wasn't far from us. A nice place to stay if you have a Family. We will definitely take our kids the next time we go for a holiday to Gold Coast.

Brilliant time away helpful friendly staff. Just wish the pool area was open till 10 other wise perfect. Thabk you guys we will be coming back in a couple of months.

Our stay at Royal Woods Resort was just superb. The view of greenery is just great. Their villas are far more welcoming than a hotel. Facilities are amazing, esp the indoor pool, large BBQ area, children's play area. The newly renovated wet area, which houses the two spa, large outdoor pool and children's pool are just outstanding. Villa is spacious, has a full kitchen, two sets of bathroom (two bedroom), washer dryer and a wonderful corner spa. I highly recommend this place to future holiday goers. Please come and experience the uniqueness, peace and quietness of this Royal place.

Loved it so much will come back again. Friendly staff service is wonderful. The room was so spotless. Love the swimming pool and also love the jukebox in the games room I love music.

Definitely will return. A great resort and great staff.

We stayed for three nights in June, we found it to be a very comfortable stay, rooms very clean with all you could need. Staff friendly, Would definitely stay here any time.

An amazing refrehment from everyday humdrum. I would recommend this experience to all of everyone.

I enjoyed the peace and quiet. The decor and general maintenance of grounds (not gardens) needs attention. Even though it was a comfortable stay I do not rate Royal Woods as a five star resort. The staff were very friendly, beds were comfortable. I would stay there again but perhaps not for the price I paid per night.
