This has to be up there with the top two hostels I’ve ever stayed at. I had the best time and the environment was so social — it didn’t feel like a work trip at all when we would get together of an evening and cook freshly caught fish etc. The management are so friendly!

Gabe and Kathy are so courteous and kind, they’ve been especially on top of the cleanliness of everything and make sure everyone is welcome. Great people and a great community, we loved our stay.

This is a great place to stay. Very clean and tidy. The beds are very comfortable and have aircon. Amazing staff, all very friendly and extremely helpful. It's only a couple of minutes walk from the local shopping centre. I was there for pizza night, which was great and well worth the money. I even extended my stay here a few nights I liked it that much. Couldn't rate this place higher if I tried.

A great hostel. Clean, spacious, all the facilities you could need. A welcoming and chill atmosphere, pool & hammocks galore. The staff were lovely, generous with their time & advice. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks for everything Micky.

It was my first experience in a hostel and I loved it! I highly recommend Traveller Oasis. The staff is very helpful and smiling. The rooms are cleans and nice. The most important thing is the atmosphere, Traveller Oasis is not like a "factory hostel" where there are thousands people, as the hostel is not too big it's like a family you know everybody and it's good to make friends and having a network. If you want to have a good time in Cairns go there! P. S : Chelsea thank you for your good energy! :)

As the name says, this hostel is an “Oasis” in Cairns. Lovely staff, large tour options to book though them, really clean common areas, near a big shopping, as soon as we get here to ask about availability… we decided to stay in this awesome place!

A true travellers oasis in Cairns. I've been on the road for close to a year and this was one of my favorite hostels. All of the staff were great and Mickey was particularly helpful with providing advice, booking tours, and opening up a bed for me when there were no rooms left. The Monday night BBQ is a must-do. You get to try a variety of meats including crocodile, emu, and kangaroo along with other great foods (and they don't skimp on the quantity either). The facilities were nice and the atmosphere was great. It's located a short walk outside the center of the city but for me that was ideal. Highly recommended!

Great atmosphere, great hosts, amazing people, really really awesome place. They're so helpful and amazing and the hostel itself is so beautifully done. Wasn't a fan of the BBQ though.

Perfect hostel. Staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. The Monday night BBQ is a must and unique to this hostel! The cleanest hostel I've stayed in, beautiful, chilled vibe for relaxing poolside, nice communal areas for meeting people and hanging out. Close to the large shopping centre and the bustling town but far enough away to feel calm and relaxed and have your own space. Great value for money. Will stay here again and recommend to anyone coming to Cairns!

Best. Hostel. Ever! The staff are so incredibly kind and helpful — they helped us book all of our tours and activities and provided great recommendations of what to do and where to eat in Cairns. They also hosted an incredible Christmas Eve BBQ for the guests. The facilities are incredibly clean, and the 2 kitchens are so nice. We loved hanging out in the Tv room and by the pool. Truly a traveler’s Oasis. It was also really nice to be a little further from the craziness of town, but the walk is super reasonably — 15 mins max. 5 stars for sure — highly recommend it!

Great hostel, the staff is very attentive and friendly. Good facilities, two kitchens, washers and dryers, swimming pool, several showers and toilets. Well located next to train station in Cairns and the commercial center.
