This place is amazing! From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome, it was a last minute booking and Jane did what she could to accomodate us. The wonderful staff go above and beyond, exceeding all expectations. I wish we could stay longer, it’s literally your home away from home, and you won’t want to leave!
The views are breathtaking, a truely wonderful experience for any occasion!

We had a midweek stay with our Fur Babies & it was the best getaway we've ever had!
We were made feel like family & our dogs were made feel so welcome. The peace & serenity was unbelievable… The resident Sea Eagle had me in awe of her beauty.

The highlight for me was the dolphins that come up to the jetty and the koalas in the trees. Beautiful location stunning views very nice accommodation close to quiet beach.

We loved everything about Sea Shanties. From the moment we arrived we were in holiday mode. Lisa made us feel right at home. The cabins are gorgeous and very cosy. There's a great communal kitchen looking out over beautiful gardens and the ocean towards Moreton Island. Lisa and Darrell are fabulous hosts and there's nothing they haven't thought of. Thanks for a wonderful week. We can't wait to come back again.

These gorgeous beach shacks are the perfect spot for a family holiday! They’ve simply thought of everything! The cleanliness and service is exceptional. The extra hidden perks is meeting their wildlife, the kids loved it. We will definitely be back and definitely recommend to family and friends. Thank you Lisa.

Beautiful little spot in Amity. Clean and well kept grounds. Cabins are also clean and well kept and have everything you need. Awesome staff. And lots to do and see.

Brilliant location on the sheltered side of the island. The garden was fantastic and we saw both koalas and dolohins. Only shame is that they charge so much $20 for firewood, seems like they are taking advantage of a captive audience. Would highly recommend.

Paradise in so many ways! From the moment you enter you know you are somewhere special. Too many features to mention. Some standouts include, the absolute waterfront and spectacular views, the sea shanties water themed accommodation, the organic help yourself herb and vegetable gardens spread accross the property, the fully equipped barbecue/kitchen entertainment area overlooking the bay, the wonderful hosts — Lisa & Darryll. Saw an abundance of wildlife every day including koalas, dolphins. Perfect place for events and couples. Highly recommended. Looking forward to our Strategic Retreat here in August 2018!

A magic spot to visit, we often take friends there, koalas in the trees, dolphins, turtles & a host of sea creatures literally on your door step, handy to walk to everything in Amity, Cabins are modern, cute & always super clean. Great Hosts, Lisa & Neil bend over backwards to help their guests. Out door kitchen is a sensational concept & great meeting place, barbies & stoves, cook & watch the world go by / delightful. Would we recommend this place to others / Yes & in a heart beat. Read last negative post, some people you can never please, for if you can't relax & enjoy this delightful serene place & what it offers you never will find happiness. We will be back as time permits to unwind & walk the many mils of fantastic beaches. Recommend Whales Way for a sensational dinner. All the Best, do book, go & enjoy! We had a little babymoon here and what can I say I have never felt so well
Looked after here we had the most relaxing time and will most definitely be back to stay we were staying in cabin 5 with waterfront views and could have our 2 fur babies stay with us. Lovely people and great facilities very helpful for sure recommend staying here if you come to Staddie.

Lovely spot and nice cabins but poorly managed. My dad sat on a deck chair and it broke, instead of an apology they charged us when we left! Charged us for other things like sand in the cabin! Terrible service, left us feeling really disappointed in the whole experience.

Great place to stay at Amity Point. Quiet. Right on the water. Close to resturants. Spoilt with all facilities and more. Kolalas, birdlife, dolphins, turtles all a few steps away. Great hosts.

Venue is stunning. Cabins are gorgeous. View is amazing. But be warned! If you plan to book the venue out — management (Lisa and Darryl) will do what they can to rip you off. We stayed 3 nights and had part of our bond deducted for leaving the kitchen tables 90 degrees off centre to how we arrived (I have photos! ). Lisa was mostly pleasant (until she has to refund the bond! ) but Darryl was very rude to us on our second and third day.
And I found them quite unreasonable about children too — an 18 month old left a dirty hand print on the doona cover (after 3 nights of the cabin being booked out) and they charged us extra for the "unreasonable" cleaning of the doona cover. Additionally, we stayed during the weekly bin collection. During the middle of our stay, we were told to make sure all our rubbish was in the bins and to put the bins on the street or they'd deduct an additional $260 for an "extra bin run". The management also complained about the previous guests who booked out the venue which made us feel uncomfortable — but in hindsight it is clear to see where the issue is. I suspect this is a tactic just to get a bit of extra money, but it's very distasteful and exceptionally poor customer service. Particularly offensive as we went out of our way to be good, quiet guests and also to leave all cabins and communal areas clean and tidy. It left a very bad taste in our mouths and while we all plan to return to Stradbroke, none of us will to return to Sea Shanties.

Absolutely wonderful piece of private paradise on the waters edge. The property is small and personal with about 6 beautiful quaint little cottages and on site management. Great facilities in the outdoor kitchen and outdoor loungeroom for all guests to use. We loved the personalized nautical theme of hand made decorations throughout the cabins and grounds. We also loved the herb gardens available for guests to use. The manager Lisa is just so wonderful, kind and very accommodating!

We will be back! Peaceful, well looked after property with freshly and stylish appointed "shanties" and dog friendly. The outdoor kitchen was spotless and had everything that you would need. Sunsets over the water topped it off.

What an absolutely wonderful place to stay. The hosts, Lisa and Darrell, are so welcoming and it was like visiting friends right from the start. The renovated cabins are lovely and clean and just wonderful for a stay on Straddie. We had Cabin 1 and our friends stayed in cabin 5, both are waterfront and had everything you need for kicking back and relaxing. The camp kitchen was well appointed with everything you need including 4 BBQs, industrial gas stove and oven, extra fridge, freezer and cupboard space assigned to each cabin. During our stay the hosts had put out garlic, chilli and limes for guests to use and encouraged you to make use of the herb gardens they had planted. Wildlife was abundant, with dolphins swimming just off the Jetty, Koalas moving about amongst the trees and a multitude of birds happily chirping away. The deck chairs and tables by the waters edge were a regular spot for us to enjoy a couple of drinks with friends and just enjoy what this fantastic location has to offer. The sunsets were spectacular when we stayed in July. The hosts even have a fire pit, cushions and lap rugs readily available should you want to stay were you are when things cool off. We highly recommend Sea Shanties and applaud what Lisa and Darrell have done to make this little piece of paradise so welcoming. See you again soon.

Can not recommend this place enough by far one of the best places I have stayed the owners are so friendly and the views are unreal, plus the dolphins come in to say hello will deffo make this place a regular spot for me love it.

Clean and tidy rooms good service.

Absolute paradise. Dog friendly, beautiful surroundings, wildlife everywhere, outstanding facilities, lovely hosts.

Had a good vibe about it. The servings were large and the meals were fresh. Service was friendly and fast. Definitely return worthy.

Was lovely and very close to beach etc but disappointed with owners who appear to blame flaws in cabin on guests. Apart from that and that it wasn't exactly great value for money it was in a very good location.

This cabin is really comfortable! The cabin no. 1 and no. 5 you can see the ocean view! Another good things if you're fortunately, you can see Dolphins coming the coast and Koala climbing on the tree!
