When you are pay over $1500 in accomodation the least Peppers Salt Resort & Spa, Kingscliff can do is offer Housekeeping especially the removal of rubbish (we ended up tying the bags up & putting it on the balcony to unhygienic leaving it in our room) & not tell guests if you want clean towels YOU have to come down to Reception (wet towels where left in bath for our stay). Another piece of advice if your a couple looking for a nice quite getaway this is not the place.

Worst customer service! I am still waiting for Julie to call me back and it’s been over a month since we were promised a voucher for a return stay as my husband swam in a pool full of chemicals which was not safe to swim in after staff advised that they had no record that maintenance had been completed on the pool. Even after I advised that other guests had seen the pool being treated they still could not find any records in their system. Not to mention the room not being clean and the word “Ello” written on the mirror. If you prefer I can take the photos of my husbands skin after swimming in the pool and seek legal advice. I would appreciate a call back as I have now called numerous times and also sent numerous emails with no response at all. Don’t have staff promise things that they can’t provide! I would like to have this issue resolved.

Nice stay with plenty of facilities which revolve around pools and spars. Central to Coolangatta to the North and Pottsville to the south. Food, drinks and service excellent. Only complaint no printed room instructions, took 2 days to work out lights and still don't know how to turn on spar on our deck? 🤔

Be warned. I tried to get a refund after my booking through TripAdvisor wasn't confirmed and my credit card was still debited. Peppers denied any responsibility and so does TripAdvisor. They happily outsource the booking process but when it fails midway, the customer is left high and dry.

I have been coming here regularly over the past seven years. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Once the car is parked you have everything in walking distance. So relaxing with two pools and spas with the sandy beach pool & spa being our favourite. It’s a great safe place to relax, swim and relax some more. Hotel all you can eat brekkie is a bonus. You won’t be disappointed. Once you find your peppers, nothing else will ever compare ♥️

We visited kingscliff for a wedding. A day before arrival, half our wedding party was told the hotel was completely flooded and restaurants/bar were closed/water was brown everywhere, the other half was told everything was completely fine and they could stay — sure enough the hotel was completely fine and functioning and at no point was flooded. Even the hotel on the day we were supposed to arrive admitted fault and sending incorrect messages. However given all guests were from Canberra/Sydney 75% of us had to rebook last minute the day prior. Such unnecessary stress prior to a wedding. As a sorry, Accor group offered the wedding couple a free stay in Tasmania for their honeymoon. They arrived to Peppers in cradle mountain to receive an extra free room instead of one free room for them as promised — thanks that’ll be great for a couple on their honeymoon to have an extra room! Much appreciated. Accor never refunded them or apologised — still a complete shambles. Do not stay with these muppets — atrocious customer service and inadequate staff. Management should be ashamed to not put customers first in this type of scenario. Still unresolved and far from satisfactory.

Very nice setting overlooking the lagoon pool but the unit very tired lots of water issues in the shower 2 nd room water leaking into the carpet outside the door and running onto the bathroom floor. No plug for the spa bath in 1st room which we really needed to bath the baby. A little disappointing.

When we arrived we were greeted by happy reception staff, they were smiling and friendly, our room was so amazing the housekeeping staff need to be amended the room was spotless. They went above and beyond and left a personal hand written card on our bed with some beautiful towel art.
Breakfast was delicious, Peppers Salt have such an amazing team in all departments.

Great location, close to beach and eateries. Pool was very nice. Rooms were ok, not over the top but generally ok. Balconies were a bit small and a/c motor blowing hot air across the balcony to the point we couldn't sit outside.
I found that getting a drink or coffee at both the breakfast restaurant or by the pool took ages.

Great place to stay. Close to the beach and the resort pool is fabulous. Lots of places to eat within walking distance and the bar near the pool is a huge bonus!

Beautiful resort. Reception desk were very friendly and helpful with checkin. We were welcomed with a cheese platter and a beautiful bottle of wine.

Sensational resort. My girlfriend and I went there for her birthday. Awesome facilities, friendly staff. Definitely coming back!

Where do I start, if you know me then you will know it really does take a lot for me to complain and that I am well travelled, well mannered and usually well aware of what I am booking, I have worked in and experienced superior hospitality in my lifetime! Dirty room, long brown hair — lots of it in bottom of shower drain, doors that sepperate lounge and bedroom have grubby hand prints all over them. Adjoining room next door has something under bed and a dirty cleaners rag on the ground, room looks cleaned other than that. 2 towels for 3 people staying first night, and only 2 beach towels?! No pen and note pad, called reception, to double check, should be next to bed, no — not there, I had to fill out a bike hire form, only to walk down to reception to discover they don't need the form filled in, even tho the previous receptionist handed it to me to fill in…?

Restaurant closed. No food available. Rooms horrible & dirty.

Broken remote, staff are helpful however there were a lot of mistakes, king bed was separated into two singles despite paying for king bed, no information about valets or a trolley for bags, teenage boys pretend to drown loudly and no action was taken despite it clearly distressing nearby children. No stove in apartment suite. Dirty microwave door, spider in spa tub, and bath Mats should be in bathrooms as the tile is very dangerous, despite putting down a towel I slipped and bruised quite badly, we resorted to buying bath Mats at the markets for safety. There was also a tube running from a closet by the elevator to the pool meaning the floor near the elevator was wet and there was no wet floor sign.

Wonderful place in a perfect location to recharge. Great for families too.

A little piece of paradise peaceful awsome facilities. Great place for a break away from normal highly recommend. Can’t wait to go back.

Peppers Salt had everything we needed. Great pool areas, great pool bar service for lunch, great breakfast buffet restaurant, fantastic room with it’s own pool, great restaurants nearby and everything is child friendly! We couldn’t recommend Peppers Salt more. We will definitely be back!

The staff are pleasant enough, it’s not a five star resort. Surrounding cafes and shop are great. Nice location.

What a wonderful place to spend a weekend! The room is amazing and the customer service provided by the reception & restaurant staff has been exceptional, nothing is too much bother and they have gone above and beyond to ensure our stay here has been a great one. This place is the biggest joke and should be ashamed of the service that they provide. The staff and in particular the managers simply don't follow through on their word at all. We stayed for 2 nights and had the worst experience ever; The room we stayed in was dirty, the neighbouring units sounded like they were in the same room and we didn't get any sleep due to a constant racket. Following complaints about this, nothing was done so we had to endure this for both nights. …The next morning we went for the breakfast at the resort, and to be honest I think calling it breakfast is a bit of a push. It's simply a bunch of oily food sitting around for hours on end. All 4 of us were unwell after this and time that was meant to be spent enjoying our getaway was spent in the bathroom instead, we again spoke to the manager only to get the rudest response I have ever gotten from a hospitality business. Not only did we get a rude response we got a false promise of a chef cooked breakfast the next morning. That again was something simply only said and not followed through on. On the morning of checkout I had just about enough of the shocking service and sub par resort. I spoke to ANOTHER manager who, to his credit was the first of 4 that seemed to actually care. He apologised and seemed to genuinely want to make the situation right. He insisted that he wanted us to experience the "true peppers experience" and invited us back for a complimentary stay.

I recently stayed at Peppers Salt and was looking forward to using the heated pool that you advertise. It was very disappointing to discover that it was COLD, I like to swim early morning and it was noticeably uncomfortable to use. I also ran into the pool guy and was informed that it was no longer set to 26 deg like before and had been reset to just 23 deg. I also tried it later in the day. Other guests there complained that this was not acceptable for an 'international standard' resort, especially when it is advertised AND for the price charged. On another note it was also obvious that maintenance especially around the guttering etc is non existent. Very disappointing, I wont be recommending Peppers.

Peppers upgraded our room to our liking at no additional cost. Had a terrific stay and I highly recommend the buffet breakfast packages.

Great hotel. The in room movies are a god send. Pools are cold but there is a heated spa which is awesome. Overall a really nice place to stay.

Great stay at Peppers! Stayed 3 nights and enjoyed our time! Fantastic location with other restaurants and shops closeby of needed. Or the onsite restaurant is a great option! The resort/beach style pool was awesome! All the facilities were as expected. Room was large and modern. Overall it was fantastic! Definitely recommend staying here if in the area.

Disappointed with the room, a bit small not much space between the end of the bed and bench. Bed was very comfortable. We had a large air conditioning unit on the balcony which kept my wife awake when it cut in. Breakfast was plentiful with a choice of cold or hot. We expected the accommodation to be much better.

Starved of competition, the Mantra next door is affiliated, Peppers Salt Resort seems stuck in a time vortex from 2005. Overall the grounds are well maintained, though signage is poor. Rooms are nice, though you could get better value for the asking price at other places (a recent stay in Peppers Palm Beach was cheaper per night with nicer facilities). Biggest let down is the food and service — despite there being 3 on the front desk talking to each other, there was no concierge to greet us when we arrived; asked for a trolley as we have a lot of luggage as am traveling with a baby, was told they 'were around' and I could probably find one. Breakfast is a massive let down, all the amenities you would expect from 3-star motel at a premium price. It is either $4.50 for a small coffee or drip coffee, no free Nespresso here! You can forget an omelette chef or juice bar, it is basic buffet style sans labelling all the way. Okay for a nice retreat as is comfortable and convenient, definitely not up the 5 star billing it is given.

Found the place without any problems, not a lot of traffic in the local area. The reception staff are friendly & will book you in quickly. Nice and spacious resort. The pool area looked quite nice. We had a conference with many workshops for our company there. The room was a single room and suited just myself & had a view of the pool. Stayed for two days & it was enjoyable. The food & drink was good. I’m considering on coming back to get a bit of a break from time to time.

Lovely resort, breakfast fabulous. Unfortunately our birthday getaway was ruined by a room in an awful position. Paid extra for a suite with a private plunge pool and room was delightful. On basement level with absolutely NO SUN all day though. When I politely mentioned it at reception I was told I should ‘strongly request ‘ a pool view room next time. With a Thurs-Saturday stay and lightly booked resort? I don’t think there will be a next time!

Checked in for 2 nights as both hubby and I deserved some R&R. Greeted by the lovely Lauren at the front desk. Do yourselves a favour and join Mantra+, it’s free and you get some lovely freebies. Great room looking out to the pool. I had a massage at Spa at Salt, divine! First night dinner at the Salt Bar, join for free and reap the rewards of discount drinks and meals. Fined at the Spice Den at Santai on our last night. Peppers, you’ve outdone yourselves once more. Thank you, and we will be back for sure.

It's roomy self contained unit… a great spa resort thus close to the sandy beach of Kingscliff… heated pool n sandy beach pool… lovely food… thus walking distance to amenities…

Having stayed here 4 years ago, I feel like standards have slipped a bit unfortunately. For instance, we had daily servicing but except on the days where we happened to be in the room, basic things simply didn't happen. Like a full garbage bin that didn't get emptied. Our tea towel and chux were taken but not replaced, and the dishwasher powder not restocked, leaving us with no way to actually clean our dishes. We were only supplied with 2 beach towels for a 2 bedroom suite (we had 3 people staying). And then when we did use them and left them in the bath tub to be replaced, we weren't left any (thankfully the weather turned so we didn't need them anyway). The dishwasher leaked on first use (to the resorts credit a repairman arrived fast). The batteries in the remote control for the TV were so flat we had to stand next to the TV to use them. I still had a great holiday, but for the price we paid I do expect a bit better attention to the details.

Disappointed to be told by the staff at the poolside restaurant/bar that there are no vegan options. Seems a bit backwards in this day and age. A plant based diet is becoming very popular. Times need to change at Peppers at Salt!

The resort is beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful. The one bedroom apartment was spacious and clean and we had a lovely view of the garden. The pools are fantastic and salt village/beach is a fantastic location if you're looking for a more quiet and relaxed beach holiday. There were only a few little things that could be improved on which would have made it a perfect stay. First, the bathroom was beautiful but there was a small lip at the entrance where it is easy to stub your foot which would really be easily avoided. And second, while the buffet breakfast had a selection of foods, compared to other high star resorts the offering was limited and not having espresso coffee included in the buffet price would have been a huge let down if I had of paid and not had breakfast included. These are little details which shows that overall, the resort is top notch and we will definitely be returning.

Love the location. Had a 1 bed apartment so able to cook if we wanted and a nice table and lounge area. Friendly helpful staff. Parking in the garage facility can be an issue with birds roosting and bird droppings on the car. Need to make sure where you park where the netting is around the pipes.

Fabulous. Amazing pools. Great cocktails. Friendly staff, easy parking, wonderful beach and superb accommodation with smart upgraded rooms and apartments. Salt Village is just getting better and better. Highly recommend.

The resort is lovely, great facilities, and great for young kids. Unfortunately the service was really poor. The staff could not be less helpful if they’d tried to be. A few examples of where they could improve; poor knowledge of what there is to do in the area. They didn’t like to remove the filled rubbish bins from our room (claiming we paid a cheap rate and the savings had to be cut from room service). Any normal request we’ve called through to reception with has had the stock answer of “you’ve paid the cheap rate so it’s all excluded”. Buying a distressed rate on a room they couldn’t sell shouldn’t equal a lacking in basic customer service and experience. Shame on you Peppers!

Nice resort with a number of options for the family. We were staying in room 8314 and we had a few problems, but they were prompt to fix them for us and then offered us another, better room when they weren't able to fix one of the issues. Staff is friendly and professional. Good breakfast on offer at their Seasons restaurant too. Good value for money.

Stayed here for five nights, and highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing break. My suite was very well appointed and in good condition, with a full kitchen. The plunge pool was great, if a bit cold. The heated tropical pool was a very nice spot to relax. The Salt Village shops just across the road are a fantastic complement to the resort. Plenty of variety in restaurants/cafes to choose from. The mini-IGA supermarket has fairly marked-up prices, so those with cars might be better to get supplies from Kingscliff itself as the resort is out of town a little. All the staff were friendly and informative and a room maintenance issue was dealt with promptly. Overall, an great resort and amazing location.

This is the 5th peppers we have stayed and it is noticeably more dated than the rest with furniture visibly worn. That being said the room is spacious, clean and our self contained apartment well equipped. The customer service has been friendly but still needed to request a cot twice after check in despite requesting it at booking. House keeping skipped us on the first day just leaving a bag of towels at the door even though we didn't have our privacy tag out. The buffet breakfast has all of the standard eggs and bacon and is tasty.

The service was great and staff extremely flexible. Great variety of available recreations. Would come again.

Great for families with kids. Adjoining twin rooms for the kids, parents room has a private pool outside of balcony. Well maintained rooms (although a colleague of mine had a broken air-conditioning unit for the duration of his stay). Our company arranged a vegetarian buffet for dinner/lunch at the seasons restaurant. Vegetarian options lacked luster. Wide range of vegetarian breakfast options however. Pool could have been a bit warmer for my taste, but clean and well presented grounds. Would happily stay there again.

My husband, our 3.5yr old and I stayed at Peppers Salt Kingscliff through the Luxury Escapes package deal at the end of November. We have stayed multiple times at this lovely resort and are never disappointed with the quality or customer service. Our 1 bedroom apartment with spa bath was comfortable. Breakfast was included and good. The definite attraction staying here is the amazing family friendly large pool which is surrounded by sand. It is great for little ones to build sand castles and run into the pool. The main area of improvement for the resort would be to add more shade umbrellas and deck chairs. The resort employees need to enforce no reserving/minding chairs and umbrellas with towels when you’re not there. During our entire stay the shade umbrellas would be reserved even without people there and a majority of shady deck chair areas reserved with towels which was annoying when you have a little one. I have passed this feedback on several times but has not been implemented. I would definitely recommend this resort and will stay here again.

The spa suite was a beautiful room and a great size. My daughter loves the pools. Convenient car parking and plenty of nearby shops and restaurants. The Saturday morning markets were wonderful with lots of great bargains!

Really enjoying our stay in one of the one bedroom spa suites, the room is spacious and has a small kitchen with dishwasher and laundry facilities. The beds are comfortable and the water pressure is great. The room service and in hotel dining prices are a little steep but it's attached to the salt village which has many great offerings.

Great staff, great rooms. Unfortunately our stay was ruined by drunken morons on the floor below at midnight. Reception was contacted and we were told they would send security but the morons never shut up. I ended up having to sleep with noise cancelling headphones on (not comfortable to sleep with, but glad I had them with me! )

Beautiful family-friendly beachfront resort in the Gold Coast. If you like relaxing on a relatively uncrowded beach with resort services, this is a great place to stay.

Excellent family orientated resort on the Tweed coast. A favourite of ours and always draws a crowd. Everything is handy including a Coles supermarket so you can park your car and leave it.

Great resort. But don't bother booking Bale apartment. Ocean front doesn't mean ocean view.

We had a degustation dinner with friends. The food was excellent and the wine pairings worked very well. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We will certainly be back!

Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and given information on the activities available at the resort and guest information for our stay. As we walked to our room through the well kept gardens we saw the pool and tennis courts. Our room overlooked the central gardens and grass area. The room was clean and fresh looking with a big modern bathroom. All appliances were working which can be a problem with stays away. The resort is close to Kingscliff town and the first night was dinner at the local surf club with a tablet right on the beach. The stay has been amazing. Will be back.

Absolutely beautiful resort with plenty of options around. The resort has two restaurants, a bar, two pools and some rooms even include a plunge pool. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the king spa room is huge.

Everyone BEWARE of Peppers adverts they are very deceptive, I have just been on the on which displays 'Stay & Save' 3 nights or more and save up to 25% offer ends midnight 31/3 Now there is nothing to indicate that there are conditions! There is nothing on here to say that the 25% off does not apply for the period over Christmas — until of course when you actually go to book it will not let you book on those dates! I believe this is very deceptive and confusing I believe that the terms and conditions of this advert should be displayed much more appropriately with the advert and openly displayed so as not to deceive and confuse be TRANSPARENT Peppers!

Fave resort to stay at. Huge room, the 1 bedder and quiet air Cond (despite what others are whinging about) Staff are incredible, even after I stuffed up the booking, was able to squeeze me in for an extra night. Book it! Explore Kingscliff, it's great.

Room was clean, and lovely, but very noisy. The aircon motor was going off and on all night and day.

Room was tiny, very noisy resort, the Air con was placed directly at the balcony door and thats all we could hear all night. No cover on the air con, bathroom not cleaned very well. On check in we waited 45 mins for the room. We were then placed into a disabled room, we did not feel comfortable and asked to be moved, again we waited for this room to be ready, if check in is at 2 then the rooms need to be ready at 2 not 3 maybe more staff would help. The lagoon pool stated it was heated but it was quite cold for a heated pool. Room service was very poor, we ordered a cheese platter and the crackers were so stale it was like rubber and the prawns were frozen then thawed as they were watery. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone, 200 a night is not cheap and it was very disappointing.

This is a great get away for the weekend and it is not far from Brisbane. Excellent facilities and very friendly staff. It is a great place for both couples and families.

This is the families favourite weekend getaway. A quick trip down to Kingscliffe and you're transported to a simple casual pace. Peppers is a great resort with well appointed rooms and all the facilities the kids need, with the each 50 m away what else could you ask for.
