Amazing place to stay right next to the beach! Great rooms large kitchen and BBQ on the deck. Awesome staff love my time here will definitely return, and highly recommend.

Bondi Beach Backpackers is the best Backpackers you could possibly find in Bondi Beach! The best one I've been too since I'm in Australia. The place is so great and tidy, and the staff is do nice. They really know how to make sure that you will have a great time during your stay. On rainy days, you can be certain that you won't get bored here at BBB because there's plenty of things to do.

Had a fab time. Staff are all very friendly and accommodating and there’s loads of amenities in the hostel. The staff work hard to keep everywhere tidy and it’s one of the cleanest hostels I’ve stayed in. Met heaps of people and would definitely come back for another stay.

Our stay at the hostel was fantastic. We found it comfortable and welcoming. The staff was always available, and well managed services. Details that we have found functional are the TVroom for relaxing, and the outdoor courtyard for eating outdoors. Perfect the location near the beach and the possibility of practicing sports with the different options that the hostel offers, such as surfboards, skateboards, and rollerblades. To conclude we met very entertaining guys with whom we shared pleasant moments, and we found the environment friendly and engaging. Naima & Elide.

They didn't give me back my bond (without any reasonable justification). They are all the time looking for how to make you pay more money. There aren't any plugs near from the beds. They push your things below other people's beds.

Friendly staff, best location lots of things you can borrow and try all the sports for free:) also free meal every monday! I’ve moved out ages ago and still going back just to say hi to everyone :)

The Beach is my fav spot on the Beaches for a beer and bites to eat. The view is stunning!
The food is great and reasonably priced. The beach has a great community atmosphere, and has regular bands and other great events!

I've only been here one day and night and so far so good! Lots of freebies like free Wi-Fi wet suits snorkling equipment skate boards
You can play pingpong or basketball. There was 9 of us and we all managed to get in a room together. Card machine wasn't working at the time but we all got cash from the atm. 30 dollar deposit for the room key. They have lots of money off vouchers at the desk. And Richard the guy at the reception was super helpful with helping us in the future booking other hostels. Kitchen and eating area is small but nice. So close to the beach too. Our room recently got new beds and linens and been freshly painted. Brilliant so far.

Giving this 1/5 stars only because I can't give 0/5. Long story short, it was nothing like the pictures. It was dirty to the point where I don't think the beds have ever been changed, the room smelled rank and there were a number of long term locals that made us extremely uncomfortable. 4 of us walked in the room and walked straight back out and were refused a refund. We've all backpacked extensively and between the 4 of us this was the worst hostel any of us have ever experienced — and trust me, I've been to some pretty shady places! Our $88 that we were refused back was a small price to pay compared to what we would have experienced otherwise. There are plenty of other hostels in the area, don't stay here :)

Well, let's be honest here.
Where to start! The place is an absolute joke.
All these people giving 5* is just because they want some extra free Wi-Fi — backpackers wanting to save a few dollars and lie to everyone else! They give you 'free Wi-Fi' each day anyway… 30 minutes worth. Wow! Let's all jump for joy over that one. The price of the hostel is well over priced!
When you get there, you have to pay an additional $3 just to have some bed linen — great start
If you want a locker, they are $1 per night — and the lockers have holes in, so thieves can steal your valuables.
If you want to pay by card, you have to pay a 'card fee' of 5%.
There is no air con in the rooms, just stand-up fans that blow only on the people on the bottom bunks.
The top bunks have no sides, or ladders to get up to your bed.
Oh, the 'free parking' they advertise is for a very short time only. If you want to park is for free anytime, you have to drive to a residential area, which will take you 20 minutes to walk back to the hostel.
The kitchen, it has 1 sink and 2 stoves for all the guests in here!
There is two toilets and showers for the whole hostel… very inadequate. I just hope you can hold it in for a long time!
Then there's the 'free breakfast' that they advertise. Hahhaha, you get cereal. That sounds ok doesn't it? Well, forget it. It does not come with milk. So either buy your own, or eat the cereal dry or with tap water.

The location is good, it's quite clean (bedroom and bathroom), a little bit too noisy the week end at night.
But the main thing is that we paid for a private room but we ended up with 3 other people in the room (because of a mistake from the staff who over booked), he promissed to pay us back but we never heard from him again.
We even had to go back ourselves in the office a few weeks later to have our key deposit back because even that he "forgot". We are still waiting for the pay back of the night (it's been more than 1 month and nobody is answering our emails or private message)

You get what you pay for! Shared bathrooms and rooms were of appalling standard. Sure housekeeping tries very hard to keep the whole place looking good, however still not up to standard and the whole place is in need of a dire upgrade. If you have rented a car, I advise not to stay here because yyou have to park you car like a good 20 minute run from the place, they provide to car parking of their own. Management were helpful enough and a great place to meet new people, however I only recommend staying here if you are on a tight budget. Sorry Surfside, please don't take my review personally. I'm just trying to be honest. Big Love… Afi.
