Very unhappy with Mantra on Kent! I stayed over 3 weeks ago and still have not received my bond back and issues still not resolved! Different answers each time we called. Enjoyed initial stay but this has tarnished the experience and won't be coming back.

Just had a wonderful 4 nights here. Rooms have just been beautifully renovated, close to Darling Harbour, trains, shops and restaurants. Staff were helpful, couldn’t fault our time here. Thank you, we will be back ✈️

I will only rate our room on this review as I thought it was very poor.
On arrival the confirmation e-mail sent to me from the hotel was correct. They were under going construction at the hotel. This made for a noisy time on the first day of arrival when all I wanted to do it sleep. From music being played by the workers to power tools.
After inspecting the room I found a number of cracks in the walls and ceilings which made me think the room was very outdated. Not what I saw advertised on the website I went through.
The exhaust fans in the bathroom and bedroom were very dirty and stained.
The bed linen on the bed smelt like fish. I asked house keeping to change it and it never happened. I doubt they were changed at all during the 3 nights we stayed there as the smell remained in the linen.
I love clean bathrooms and tall showers. Upon inspecting the shower I found it was in a bath tub and was required to kneel in an effort to fit under the shower head as I’m tall. I knocked my head getting out of the shower on the ceiling and found the ceiling had a number of cracks and paint chips. The bathroom was not clean and again outdated.
I took photos some of the dirtiness in the room as I was amazed.
I was recommended to Mantra by my work however if this is the standard displayed in their hotels I’ll pass going to one of them again.
Not worth what I paid for it and was disappointing on our engagement weekend.

Everything is wrong, I’ve never experienced such an overpriced place with everything wrong. I don’t leave reviews but this is really bad. Worst place I’ve ever stayed.

Great stay. Lovely clean unit. Everything I needed for my week stay was close by. Staff very helpful.

We booked as a group they upgraded some of the group not others then gave free breakfast to one couple in the group and no one else when asked about this they couldn't answer was very unfair as a lot of money was spent on accomodation at this hotel and were not accomodating at all wouldn't recommend staying here.

Great location super central. Just a couple of blocks from town hall station and darling harbour… clean… good space… good views… highly recommend. Having a small kitchen is total plus to have a quick breakfast and get out to enjoy the city… people and staff were super friendly and helpful…

Great location and rooms were nice and roomy for the amount of guest staying. Services were good no problems checking in at reception and they were rlveey nice and helpful with any problems we had. Buffet breakfast was great too.

Roomy, good space but all doors to rooms slam so when guests entering and leaving some do offen in middle of night. Good if ur not after sleep. Well located. Cant hear people in the room but they need to install rubber insulators or door trims and turn down the pressure of door closer.

Rooms were clean and modern. Bathroom a little dated but clean. The room had a lounge area and a self-service kitchenette with everyhing you need for a few days stay e. G. Microwave, kettle, cutlery and crockery.

What a diamond in the rough. Booked it sight unseen but was happy with the size and kitchenette and view! A couple cons would be the paid-Wi-Fi and kinda run down (but clean) washrooms. Oh also it had a washer and dryer! What a surprise!

Technically I think 2.5 is fairer. Pros The room was spacious (studio) and staff lovely. Great location Cons Very dated, particularly the bathroom. Slow lifts Main reason for low score is lack of exercise facilities. Nothing at all on site. Can use gym at mantra 2 bond but this is possibly the worst hotel gym I've been to. Got more out of the walk there! Would be great to get some sort of agreement with a nearby gym facility.

Hotel double charges us and won't assist to have the money returned. We've lost almost $1500 due to gross incompetence of reception staff. Furious is an understatement. The hotels only saving grace is receptionist Mikayla who offered us some wine to accommodate the fact that the air-conditioning was broken in both rooms. Spoilt what was my friends hens night. I'll be taking this further. Stay away at all costs!

Rooms are big, slightly dated but generous nonetheless. Staff are friendly and helpful. No gym available which is slightly off-putting but otherwise location is great.

This hotel is incredible! The best location, between Darling Harbour and Circular Quay. Only a short walk from Town Hall Station. I was lucky enough to get room 2702 (top floor) and had a lovely view of Darling Harbour. The rockstars at reception and in the restaurant were so friendly and only too happy to help out with whatever I needed, which included an early check-in so I could get to my function on time. The only downside I can think of it that the hot food wasn't all that hot (but not cold either). But there was a great selection of food there. I'll definitely be staying here again when I'm in the city next.

Mantra on Kent is in the CBD inside easy for shopping, Darling Harbor and the Townhall station. It offers all that you requirement for your stay in Sydney, spotless and charming condition, the room is open with full washroom including clothing and a kitchen that will provide food for your necessities. The bed is agreeable and unwinding. The staff are proficient in their appearance and are greatly useful in making your stay a wonderful one. A great affair.

Nice sized rooms in good condition. The location is great. Close to the Harbour for day trips and well placed in the city. Parking at daily rate but a bit expensive. Staff helpful and friendly.

Great apartment, you can cook in there as well. Good views. Good value for your money. Bed really comfortable.

Service was great! Room was spacious and clean. The location is in the middle of the harbour and the CBD which worked out really well for us.

Friendly and helpful staff, our studio room got everything I need. The place looks a little bit old. I love the laundry facility. I can wash everyday. Spacious enough as a studio.

Rooms were nice and cosy, the room service when ordering fresh towels were a bit slow but lovely service.

Awesome location to explore the CBD or go shopping! The rooms are big enough to easily fit three adults. Only negative is the aircon is freezing and couldn’t be changed and the bathrooms are slightly on the older end of time.

We stayed there for close to 2 months as we moved from London to Sydney. The staffs where very friendly and always with a helping hand. They do their best to make our stay happy and pleasentful. They gave us a compliementary breakfast as the aircon was not working for 3 days. They didn't have any swimming pool or gym but we can always go to Mantra on Bondi street and use their facilities. We loved our stay there and would recommend.

Mantra standards upheld. Staff were great. Room was what I expected from Mantra (good. Clean. Quiet). Price well yeah its middle of sydney cbd sooo its ok price for location.

Coming from a hospitality background, I may not be an expert but I am trained to spot certainly aspects of a hotel/apartment/Resort. The receptionist greeted my family kindly and assisted us with the check in. The room was tastefully done. Cozy with full of amenities to do a bit light cooking. I didn't get a chance to have the breakfast but the in house dining is more than capable of meeting your gastronomical desires. Issue with the housekeeping is that I failed to indicate that my room needed cleaning but they helped out the following day. Overall my stay, the location and expectations were met. Very happy to have stayed with them.

Room was very clean with modern decor and furniture. Bathroom was a bit dated with an odd layout. Service was great, professional, polite and fast. Breakfast was good and the coffee is excellent. Great location too. Fair prices for room and food. A pleasant experience.

Lovely spacious rooms with all amenities to be self-contained. Hassle free check in with staff who don’t go over the top with service, a nice touch. We were recommended a late breakfast at Queen Vic Building by the staff and it didn’t disappoint. Close to Cockle Bay and tourist things to do, as well as great restaurants and night life. 250m from Town Hall station so can get anywhere on the train. Would highly recommend.

The Mantra on Kent is a decent hotel. It's in a great location, particularly for me as it's so close to my work. The rooms are a good size and the beds are decent in size and quite comfortable. The room comes with a small kitchenette. I haven't needed to use it but is a great option to have access to. The onsite restaurant is fairly average but there are plenty of options around, at either end of the price scale. Overall it's a good option of you're looking for something in the heart of Sydney.

Arrived and we have been checked in early as the Room was ready which was a wonderful surprise we are on the top floor (27th) Room 2701 with a balcony and being able to sit in the sun and look over Darling Harbour. Rooms are very clean and only a little dated but a great spot and close to everything. Friendly staff. Great spot as it nice and central and very close to Darling Harbour.

Location is fantastic. Great for shopping in central CBD and equally close to Darling Harbour. Rooms were beautifully presented and very up to date. Staff were courteous and helpful. Will definitely stay again.

A simple Mantra property close to the city and convention centre. Accommodation was conformtable. Breakfast was okay. Somedays they had fries eggs and others they didn't for some reason.

Mantra on Kent, looks fine but is more like an hotel just for sleep than a place to eat or have some drinks.

Booked a room last week for new year and found it was cheaper 20% before check-in. On what earth that early booking would expensive 20% than later booking!? Only in MANTRA! The hotel refuse to change the price and not accretion cancellation. Would Australian Consumer Commission admit this kind of unfair condition!?

We had an amazing stay. Received a 1 bedroom apartment with 180 degree city views and a sneak view of Darling Harbour (which was only a couple of minutes walk away). The room was fantastic for the price and the facilities in the room were very useful for a several night stay (would be perfect for an extended stay). The staff were so friendly, accommodating and eager to help and really made the experience for us. The location was very central with lots to do in a close vicinity. We will definitely stay again on our next trip to Sydney.

Great location in between Cbd and Darling Harour. Rooms were modern, clean and well presented. Staff were attentive and well suited our needs. Would stay again.

My daughter stayed here for work. I visited her whilst she stayed. The hotel is well located, easy walking access to the CBD, darling harbour and town hall station. Parking is available right next door. Her room was spacious with a kitchen, dryer and washing machine and a decent size bathroom and lounge. Breakfast was not to her taste but there are plenty of other options available around there.

For hotels around Sydney CBD, Mantra is quite decent for the price. Surprisingly we were allowed to have quite a few friends over to pre-drink before heading out. No issues with the staff and facilities and the room sizes are quite large.

Very clean, well put together. The service staff is friendly and helpful. Overall a good experience.
