Amazing atmosphere, felt like I was on a trip far away even though it is Sydney Great way to recharge.

Location perfect staff were very friendly.

I love how individualised the hotel rooms are, each with different layouts, furniture, outlook. We used the hotel to get ready for our wedding and it worked a treat. The staff understood requirements and were very accommodating on the date. This is something they clearly do regularly.

This was my 1st experience visiting the hotel. My daughter and I had wonderful lunch together. Perfect way to start my work annual leave and school holidays. Food, cocktails and staff were amazing. Highly recommended and would definitely come back.

Adhere to social distancing and plenty security. Makes you feel safe. Good service and great vibe. Friendly staff.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable 2 night stay. From initial check in until check out the staff were brilliant, very professional and friendly and both dinners were perfect. Cannot recommend this venue highly enough.

Crispy skin salmon and oysters were delicious and tiramisu to die for! Could have a better range of cocktails, seagulls were a bit annoying. Music was great.

Love the vibes here but please put some vegan options on your menu… asked for the roast pumpkin salad without the dairy and somehow it managed to have sour cream on it.

The food is way over priced, the fish and chips was actually the worst I have ever tasted, tasted disgusting, very greasy, the batter was saturated, chips felt like they had been fried in weeks old oil. The drinks also were expensive 11 bucks for a bottle of Heineken, terrible. I used to be one on the duty managers there back when Doyle’s owned it, I would ask them for their recipe because that batter was filthy, can still taste it now 5 hours later, would not eat there again.

This bar is always a must to visit when I am in Sydney — very chic, delicious food, great views of the city and stunning surroundings. Easily accessible by ferry from Circular Quay.

Great food, fabulous view and chilled atmosphere!

My girlfriend paid $19 for bruschetta and received one piece of bread with some light toppings. When I approached staff about the portion size they were rude and didn’t want to talk to me. This venue is a disgrace and has to be worst in Sydney. The staff are rude and inconsiderate. I will never be attending again.

$500 on nye to be chucked out before midnight because another boy chucked a drink over me.
James the duty manager is super rude didn’t listen to my side of the story at all, avoid this place at all costs.

Watson’s bay was amazing as my partner and I stayed one night there due to my brothers wedding. Service was great and buffet breakfast was nice too. The atmosphere was beautiful due to walk on the beach, great oysters and you can hire a picnic basket and a bicycle to have lunch near the lighthouse which is romantic. They recommend this package at the hotel.

Nicely appointed room with seaside feel and excellent bathroom with gorgeous natural products. Friendly helpful staff, early morning coffee shop, use of push bikes, beautiful walks, ferry rides on the harbour and breakfast by the sea are all things that make this hotel a wonderful short stay. Highly recommend.

Fantastic staff and great food.

I was very impressed that the establishment is committed to hiring people with disabilities as front of line staff. The coffees were a little slow to come out but credit to the baristas who still made a good coffee.

Great location, decent cider. Food a bit expensive for what it was.

My daughter booked a table for the 5 of us for the Fathers Day function, we were really looking forward to it. It was $60/head for 3 courses. We arrived for the 1.30 start 5 minutes late, however we were told to wait (like all the other diners) as they were not ready. When we were finally seated they showed us on a shared table, as we were 5 adults we were not expecting to be seated with a family with very young children. We asked to move to our own table, and things went even further down from there. They were very disorganized, no one seemed to know what was going on. No one explained to us what the menu was all about or what we were eating, for any course. An antipasto plate that could feed 2 (very small), then 3 main dishes, pork, prawns and fish, a very small salad and we were supposed to get potatoes, but they never came. And then a deconstructed pavlova with ice cream, again no explanation of what we were eating. There was no coffee offered and quite frankly my husband, and the main reason for us being there for a special time with the kids, he certainly was not made to feel special in any way. Our eldest daughter, who made the booking, kept telling us how sorry she was, but it certainly wasn't her fault. Overpriced, very very disappointing, good was very average and the service was appalling. Definitely not the Fathers Day we were wanting or paying so much money. Will not return.

Conveniently located near to Watsons Bay Ferry Wharf of Watsons Bay, it is a perfect place for a great stay over with a park and the deep blue sea. Restaurants and yacht club are nearby. A wonderful combination of everything where relaxation in the nature is a priority.

Food was great. I loved their seafood paella (that day's special) and fish and chips. Location was great and the staff was very welcoming and attentive.

I posted an earlier review & rated the hotel 2 stars. I've changed it today to 5 stars. Within a few days of my review, the hotel contacted me, wanted to understand the issue and then asked me to come back and have another meal there. Today, My wife & I were very well looked after by the Assistant Manager, provided with an excellent table overlooking the bay and the food we had was delicious. Full marks to WBH for reaching out and wanting to understand issues & then following up with inviting us back. Thank you.

Super busy on a Saturday but was lucky to get a table straight away. Food ranged from average to very lovely. I recommend the poke bowl or the fish pie which were our favourites. Coffee was decent. One of our plates was missing when our buzzer went off but one of the waitresses said she would bring it out to us when it was ready. So had a mix of lovely staff and just general — quite a DIY sort of place. Nice vibe as there is lots of people on a saturday.

Terrible service. If the food had ever come out we wouldve been required to walk down sets of stairs outside and grab food then bring it all the way up multiple stairs and open a large heavy door all whilst balancing on a tray in windy conditions. We didnt have to experience this however instead we waited 45 minutes and no food. Then get told oh sorry your buzzer just hadn't gone off that can happen sometimes but told the food was downstairs (stone cold no doubt) Got a refund and left. Would not recommend.

We had a fabulous Saturday afternoon here celebrating a birthday! The place was packed but luckily we made a booking and never had to wait long for drinks. This is a great atmosphere for a sunny afternoon pub session overlooking the water… leading into a fun night dancing to the old school DJ set.

This ends our magical week in Sydney. What a great venue for afternoon beer garden drinks and food. The staff are incredible and the food well portioned and priced. Thanks for having us! We'll be back.

Hi, I just wanted to share my experience that I had at the Watsons bay hotel last night 02.05.2018. It was terrific! There were 26 of us in for dinner and the service from start to finish was nothing short of exceptional. The manager on duty greeted us as we walked in and took us to our table and explained how the orders are done, even though he said everything was to be ordered at the bar he still took our first drink order at the table and brought over 20 drinks to us to get the night started! We ordered food and was greeted by another male at the bar who was really lovely, once our food came everyone was already in a very good, chirpy mood. The deluxe seafood platter wasn't the most flavoursome we've ever had but it was still good. The steak special was a little small and on a pretty cheap plate but understandable a special dish. Pick of the bunch was the crab sliders and crab linguine. The manager on duty again came to our table after the mains and asked how everything was and we told him all the feedback and he was very receptive to it all. We were surprised with a complimentary desert to finish also. Just wanted to say bravo to your team there and the venues cleanliness overall. Definitely recommend to friends. Regards, Sally.

Great atmosphere! Very good drinks and staff "average" friendly. Even when the seafood pie I ate was delicious, a salad that we ordered and the fish with vegetables for kids was not good. Those dishes were a bit tasteless and scarce. Besides that, the view is really nice and in general the place is enjoyable.

For views this place is good or should I say excellent. Not only of the beaches but also nice glimpses of the city. Transport options to this best done by boat. Sydney transport have good options also there are some private operators that make the journey quicker and you can get a beer on the boat with some of them. However if your on a boat having a beer chances are you dont want that boat moving quickly. Unless your one for a swifty in a hurry and keen for the next. Views, vibes, excellent music that suits the mood this is the place. Beautiful location as anyone who does they research can tell this is quintessential Sydney experience. Drink options options great, food options also good. Price packs a punch but for good reason.

Watson Bay boutique hotel, — So popular, decent prices. This place is amazing for sunny day drinks, seafood lunches, chips with anything or a decent glass or jug of Pimms. It is kid friendly, sits right on the beach and by the Pier where you can get the ferry to the city or from the city if you are a tourist. It is right beside the park so plenty of shade and areas to pay for children. There is also the more widely spaced Gibson’s Beach next few steps along or around the headland of the heritage walk is Camp Cove, a stunning beach. The hotel staff are so friendly but be sure to reserve a space because at weekends and public holidays it is absolutely rammed with people, it is so popular.

Great position on the harbour. Very busy on weekends. Can be quite hard to find a table. Food and drinks are somewhat expensive but still affordable. I guess you are paying for the view. Nice place to visit for lunch with some pretty harbour walks nearby (to walk off lunch).

Great place as always. I usually eat in the harbour view courtyard, but last night (Easter Sunday) it was so packed (no surprise! ) I ordered food in the pub, which I've never done before. Chicken Schnitzel was thick (proper chicken, not flattened "pub fodder"), good chips and a fab green salad with nuts and quinoa. Bartender was a lovely young woman (She was fab — I'm gay, so I'm not being crass, she was so smiley and sweet) who was clearly working her chops off (very polite and excellent at Customer Service) and some very sweet locals gave me their outside (park view) table as they left (they saw me "about to dig in" whilst sitting alone on the brick planter box near the street, respected the fact that I, as a smoker, never leave cig butts anywhere, and a very sweet lady in her 50s called out "This table's yours: we're going". How kind and lovely! ) I've lived in Syd 23 years and have been to WBH a bazillion times, but have never eaten inside the pub part until last night. It was very good, and the wine was good too, and inexpensive. Highly "Approved" ✅

We had a conference / event here. The facility is good. Nicely layout sections and good atmosphere to relax. Service is good quality with friendly staff. It is also easily accessible from road and ferry. We took an water taxi from circular quay in 20 minutes.

Great place to sit and watch all the beautiful people prance around. Food is so so. The staff that clear tables should ask before grabbing glasses etc. I had a drink taken while I was using the amenities (others at the table did not see them swoop in) and when I informed one of the bar staff they made no attempt at service recovery. Still had a nice time though and it is a lovely location.

Magifique seaside restaurant.

I was really looking forward to our lunch on Saturday long weekend. We ordered the Deluxe Seafoid Platter — $220. Was not phased by the price was disappointed that I had to go down 3 flights of stairs and carry the 2 tier laden platter to my table on my own. Was also disappointed that the ice bed turned into a water bath and I ended up with water logged lobster. First world problems I know but there’s room for improvement. Loved the venue, the vibe, the staff were great too but I’m not going to invest that sort of money there again.

The hotel has a great view of the harbour Bridge and amazingly blue water. The food was great, as were the cocktails. I would recommend to try and get a table on the deck outside, but you can only book before 1. It was well worth it, and bring your swimmers because you're right next to the beach!

Great location and awesome atmosphere for late afternoon drinks. Ideal location to see the ferry arriving. Food is superb and drink options aplenty. Tends to get really busy so reserve a table or be prepared to hunt.

Amazing view. Doyle's is always tremendous with seafood. Just FYI, the OPAL card ferries stop at 4:30pm. After that it's Captain Cook cruises and they charge $7.50 one way to Circular Quay.

The Watson's bay hotel is a really nice place for casual drinks and food. Very relaxed, on Friday they had a DJ playing some tunes. The line for the bar wasn't too long and the food came out quickly. The menu has different foods from all over the world, from Japanese, to Italian. It's a nice place, good cocktails too.

Went to a party and thought it was an absolutely beautiful place. So decided to buy a friend a nights accommodation for her birthday which I have done online. Unfortunately 10 days later (money taken from bank account) and I have no gift voucher to give her. Have now called 3 times and am still waiting. Her birthday has been and gone. (Message not in junk either)

I’m not sure you are a part of the public bar or not.
We ordered a meal Which was delivered to the tab area, which was where we requested, thank you, we asked the bar staff for some cutlery three times, yes three times, we got nothing, the upshot was my wife had to eat her meal with a spoon it was absolutely unorganised kaos in both bars.
Great spot, unfortunately we just couldn’t believe the disorganisation. The bloke next to me waited 20 minutes for two schooners of New, we laughed and joked about the lack of service, absolutely dreadful service, although the bar staff were always nice and always courteous.
We went to the beach bar down near the water and queued for 20 minutes for drinks, understandably you people were busy that’s ok. Once I got to the front and was served I was told I had to go up the other end of the bar and queue again because this was a cash only line, because the efpos machine wasn’t working, maybe a simple sign, It took 30 minutes to get a beer and a glass of wine. Wow wow couldn’t believe it.

It’s easily accessible from Sydney’s Circular Quay by ferry. The location is magnificent, hotel is right on Watson's Bay, 100m from the water, there is playground and park in front of hotel (Robertson park) it's good for kids Robertson Park in Watsons Bay has a terrific playground, shaded and fenced too. Plus there are lots of other fun places to visit in watsons Bay.

We arrived with a booking at 11am and that worked well for a large group. It gets busy later in the day. Prime spot by the water, and not too far away from a park and playground if you have kids. Food and beverage service was pretty fast. Ferry to the door… that's the way to travel if you can.

Beautiful scenery, long coastline with dense yellow sandy beach, surrounded by many seafood restaurants, with a strong atmosphere of vacation.

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay over night and well worth the price. Lunch is great and the food is served extremely quick, drinks as pretty much standard but not a huge place I'd say for cocktails. Would definitely recommend for everyone, just wish they could keep the seagulls away but that's Australia for you.

Beautiful views into the harbour, great for a sunset. Lots of good drinks, standard pub food. Suitable place to visit from your first date till you become a family. Be aware in the summer parking is limited, ferry service is intermittent so plan accordingly.

My absolute favorite place for a get away! Great rooms at a good price. Perfect location. Good food here but also Doyle's is right next door. Gorgeous decor! Staff really warm & friendly.

Wonderful service from Felicity and Christina when we checked in — above and beyond, before we even asked. Rooms are clean even by MY standards, and I'm pretty demanding… Good food etc too of course. Adjacent to the dock for ferries. Worth every $.

I went to the waterfront restaurant for a Sunday lunch with my family and really enjoyed the location. It's a stunning beach and the restaurant takes full advantage of the scenery with lots of large windows, balconies and front veranda. The salmon was excellent, but fish and chip options are priced well above what they should be. The service can be slow as this is a large structure made of interconnecting buildings. The Beach Club beside the restaurant is a cool and trendy option for drinks and nibbles, if you can find a table (be there early on weekends). It's THE place to sip cocktails in a summer afternoon.

Great food, beers and views. Good for people watching and cheaper than Doyle's next door. Service was swift and polite. Great for access to the ferry and the bus, up the hill. Watch out for seagulls and please, please don't feed these flying pests! They are a nightmare on a hot summers day and they encourage the birds to steal food from kids.

One of the best pubs in Sydney. Great views of the harbour. Packed on weekends. Ferry stop 50m away. Quality food available at reasonable prices. A must for tourists with "The Gap" view of the ocean 150 away.

I can't believe these guys have a couple of unhappy customers, we had a function there and also stayed the night the staff, food and service was outstanding breakfast was also included at no extra cost which was perfect not to mention the view just breathtaking. We will find it hard to beat and would not hesitate to go back. We had 30 people which included 15 kids they constantly assisted us and were more than user friendly with noisey kids and checked that our evening was enjoyable regularly and the cost was very reasonable. They forgot to bring some flowers to our room which can happen they not only couriered them to our house in the north on the same day also sent a beautiful present which more than made up for it. Beautiful accommodation. Staff go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Continental breakfast buffet was delicious with amazing harbour views from the French doors of the dining room. The attention to details is what really sets this hotel apart. I was thoroughly impressed with the T2 sachets and Peter Morrisey toiletries. Felicity at the front desk was very warm & inviting. We will definitely return.

You only come here for one reason. The location (and the view). It's glorious. Almost enough to make you forget about the ordinary meals and that they only serve one size of beer.

Awesome views. Soft shell crab burgers are just delicious.

Comfortable and clean décor. Nice for a good chat, and the side fish and chips bar makes a pretty good milkshake! I had the salted caramel soy milkshake. The hotel also supports the annual Shakespeare by the Beach show!

Great location and good upbeat vibe. It can get a bit busy and loud on a sunny day … Join in, but leave your pay wave at home, it's slightly overpriced.

Went there for lunch on the weekend the food, cocktails and vibe were amazing. Great place to go with a few friends for a couple of drinks. The DJ made the day.

Fantastic place, we have been various times for lunch and this place is buzzing with people. There is generally a DJ outside spinning some tunes to get the vibe going along with the spectacular views. The decor is fantastic, the inside of the hotel is very rustic and boutique with a very wooden feel. On several occasions staff have always been extremely friendly and helpful. Parking can be very difficult on a busy day so be sure to allow extra time otherwise hop a bus or ferry for added convenience.

Same as every other gelatissimo but at this one you can buy little bambino ice creams and they make the most incredible choc filled wafers.

I needed a hotel near Dunbar House as I was MC at a wedding. The choice was limited and it was with some trepidation that I booked a room effectively in the Watsons Bay pub. On the saturday afternoon when we arrived the pub beach club and other bars were in full swing. Packed and noisy and no parking available anywhere in Watsons Bay. We soon found that the hotel was arranging parking for those staying at the hotel so this problem disappeared quickly. Check in was easy and we were soon in a very nice large comfortable hotel room with a view over Robertson Park. When the door closed we were in peace and quiet. The bed was was of the most comfortable my wife and I have slept in. The large bathroom was well fitted out with a good size bath and a really great shower. At all times the staff were friendly and helpful. Our complimentary breakfast was also very good. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay in the Watsons bay area. My wife and I will come back even without another wedding to attend to as the area is so beautiful and abounds in good food places.

"Post Card Views from Sydneys Sunniest Beer Garden with an old-world SeaSide charm" The Summer time gem — Great service and management with many different nooks for eating, shade or full sun, drinking and cocktailing all facing a wonderful view which makes you appreciate Sydney for what it is. This is one of my top 3 beer gardens in Sydney, Great food and drink selection, jugs of cocktails and even cheap water taxi options if you don't live in this eastern paradise. (Balmain in my case) so a place I will be frequenting again very soon.

5 stars for the view alone. The fact you can get a decent drink and some great seafood are a bonus, although as with everything with a view of the harbour, it comes at a price! A recent refurb has really made the most of the old hotel, with jaunty nautical themed tables over several levels to make the most of the stunning view back down the harbour. An ideal place to stop and have an afternoon drink and enjoy the sunset, for visitors and locals alike.

Waiting for 10 minutes and no staff helping. Also the place was dirty.
