Stayed at the Arts for week while my husband was in hospital, staff were very helpful, room very comfortable and clean would recommend.

Been here for 11 days and it’s in an ideal position for visitors to Sydney. Excellent reception staff and the rooms are a good size and well looked after by the service staff. All in all a great place to stay.

Great rooms, Great staff, Great location I will definitely be back 4 stars.

Cockroaches in the hotel.
Staff rude and had me in tears arguing about the carpark — it's only for residents — I AM a resident.
No toilet paper put in room.
Smelly and dusty. Mattress old and sagging.
I was staying as my husband was having multiple operations for aggressive cancer and are going through financial hardship. A delivery was made of 7 gourmet meals as a gift. The staff did not deliver to my door or ring me. The box — CLEARLY labelled Perishable food was NOT refrigerated and was left overnight at reception. All the food needed to be destroyed. The staff did nothing to compensate for the loss they caused — even knowing our situation.
Needed to change rooms 3 times.
Appalling service.

A favourite of our in Sydney. Well located and very comfortable. Polite staff that could never do enough for there customer.
I have stayed here before and have forgotten a child's pusher which was very important to us. I would have missed a flight, if we came back. They arranged to get it to the airport by taxi. How considerate and not to be expected normally.
Nice comfy rooms, good cafes nearby to eat breakfast. The Hotel next door for dinner is great, with well priced meals. Family friendly. Staff have been there for many years so have become friends when visiting and it's good to see a consistent staff, it shows they are happy with management.
The hotel is well priced, and a great choice of tea and coffee in the room, apples in the foyer.
I cannot imagine how anyone could ever be unhappy with this hotel it's fabulous.

I have never been treated with so much disrespect in my entire life and even more when I'm a paying customer at a hotel lobby in front of other people! I really think management need to read this and retrain their staff what it means to be in front desk and what customer care is like! Never again will I ever stay in this hotel or recommend it to anyone I know quick story I'm sitting in the hotel lobby I didn't notice my phone spline was a bit high to the liking of the staff out of the blue the front desk staff yells and scream will you turn that f*cking sound down I don't need to deal with your distractions or put up with you! And I just replied excuse me why are you shouting at me you could have asked nicely and I would ofcourse turn it down he then even more rudely said I asked you twice while I'm talking to customers this guy is insane he thinks he told me yet I ignored him when in fact I didn't even know he was talking to me as he was talking to the customers he had while I was sitting in the lobby chair regardless of whatever if he had any training or management has any standards of customer care the right approach would be for this person to come from around the desk and approach me in the lobby and say : Sir I tried to tell you maybe you didn't pay attention that your phone is a bit to high, would you be so kind and lower it as it is getting hard to hear customers. Thank you so much for understanding.

Nice individual hotel very good facilities especially for in town position. Parking. Swimming pool. Out door terrace. Good sized room helpful staff.

Hotel correct near the center using the bus or atVs made available free of charge to guests.
The rooms need a refreshment, the room has been renovated recently… The receptionists speak French and are helpful and available. Breakfast is varied (cereals, dried fruit, yoghurt, bread, cakes…) with good products.

Good enough for a few nights stay. Great pub next door gives it the extra star.

It's in a very convenient location and the staff were really nice and helpful. The ventilation, wireless, and carpet can be improved.

Great location. Able to walk to the harbour bridge or bondi. Lots of buses available and plenty of shops and places to eat and drink. Rooms are equipped with everything you would need and hotel also has a lovely courtyard.

My parents have stayed, during all the duration of hospitalization, of my grandmother, they appreciate, friendly (in french) and the friendliness of the staff, they also appreciate the equipment (ironing facilities, fridge, safe, washing machine, TV) available to them… This nidi oreone (Thanks much wn language nengone)

A great concept but they treated me horribly and kept me waiting three weeks for no reason. They made fun of my name for some unknown reason and I felt insulted so I did not progress with them. I hope they read this and treat others better!

Stayed at Arts hotel for 5 nights around New Year's. The standard rooms are very basic and a bit depressing — looking. Everything essential is there (safe, fridge, free Wi-Fi, even small pool in the backyard), however for the price point, the premises are too outdated and need some livelihood. The people working at the hotel were always super helpful and we appreciated great service. The location is good, close to cafes and shops in Paddington, however if you are spending most of your time by the harbor, you will not be able to walk.

Not worth the price. There are much better hotels. My room was very stuffy, musty and dirty and extremely noisy due to the busy road traffic noise that seemed to just travel through the balcony door windows. Needs an upgrade for the price they charge.

Great location and free Wi-Fi. A few minutes walk to many adjacent neighborhoods. The room isn't gorgeous, but simple and clean. They also offer complimentary bike rental (which I didn't take advantage of). I'd go back here again.

A very good place to stay for couple of days. A central Oxford street location, close to shops and restaurants! Easy to get to city by bus or 10 minute walking. I had a middle sized room with breakfast included. Totally enjoyed my staying there.

We are delighted with our stay at the Arts Hotel Sydney, or we have made 2 stays during the week from 7 to 14 October 2012, hospitality is excellent, all the staff speak the french (this for non insiders to English)
ready to service and advise for visits, the site is pleasant not far from Paddington Market, special mention to the reception and Frederick.
