Comfortable rooms in a great location.

Can't recommend this place enough. Rooms are clean and quiet. Pool and spa are amazing. We ate at chophouse grill. The food was absolutely delicious with over generous portions. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back.

The room was ready on early arrival the staff very friendly from desk to the cleaning staff, pool looked great, overall great place to stay, see you again.

Terrible service, horrible staff! We had to cancel our accom last minute because of Taree floods and we were still charged even though we wanted to change dates and we weren’t even asking for refund! Would never book there again!

We stay here annually with our 2 kids, the poolside family room is great, it’s spacious, clean and looks recently updated, our kids love the resort style pool area and us oldies love West’s for food and bevvies, then just walk back to your room, even better when there’s no transport needed!

Every time you make a booking, they charge you with credit card surcharge even you just amend your booking such as changing the date. They cancel your original booking and only refund you the quoted price without the amount of credit card surcharge. Then they charge your amended booking with credit card surcharge again. Also it will take you more than 10 days to get the refund even within free cancellation period.

The room was stunning, clean, spacious and modern. The staff were friendly and helpful. We even received a lovely gift when they realised we were on our honeymoon. So welcoming.

Be wary — you get to Newcastle and then find out their CEO has refused you accomodation because you are from Sydney! Absolutely disgraceful customer service and will not be giving them our business again.

I stay here about twice a month for work & love it. The bars, restaurants, pool & gym are great. My favourite restaurant is Lure, amazing fresh seafood & service.

I’ve stayed here twice this week and will be back again. Quiet and comfortable rooms with all services available. Friendly staff who don’t keep you waiting for food, drink or attention.

Stayed at the executive inn Newcastle for a couple days and was pleasantly surprised at how much there was to do, it’s connected to wests club which I didn’t know with many restaurants or eateries two big pools large spa and the most friendly staff I’ve ever had at a hotel even the people staying here are friendly and ready for a chat. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here short or long holidays best place ever. Thankyou to the staff at reception, cleaners, breakfast staff and house keepers outstanding 5 stars ⭐️

Nice room, clean, helpful staff. The only downside was the shower. Suppose to save water but it’s that soft your in the shower for longer.

Didn't get photos of the room but was clean and beauuuuuuuutiful! Went upstairs to steakhouse and my soul left my body when I saw the steak, Yum yum yum in ma Tum. Staff get a 5 star rating also, Victoria and the guy with the beard (forgot his name, forgive me) at the reception desk were very very helpful. Also the guy who served us at the steak house, awsome customer service. I think a pay rise is necessary for these people lol a highly recommended accommodation.

The room we stayed in was great. Plenty of beds, nice lounge area but some things were older then the rest, potentially because the last fit out was not complete.

Always comfortable, quiet and safe. Great facilities within Wests Club. Only hassle is their insistence on charging a $200 bond (account) even if you are not planning on spending money within the Club.

Extremely disappointed with the handling of a situation last night with this hotel. My 16 year old sister had a booking made with her adult friends. Upon check in she was told that her booking must be cancelled as her legal guardian was not staying at the hotel with her.
Now I find out the next day once she has had a chance to charge her phone that she has been booted to the street and has caught a bus, ferry and cab to sleep on the grass outside a caravan park that was across town.
I understand policies and laws, but I'm appalled that no-one even thought to call these kids parents before putting them out on the street 2 hours from home. Perhaps a larger bond could have been negotiated or the parents could have been made aware so that the girls could have been picked up or safe accommodation organised.

Average accommodation that could do with a little lift. Just fine for a sports club. Friendly service, and has everything you need, but it’s certainly no palace.

Great hotel close to Newcastle. Very clean and staff are helpful. The leagues club has done good restaurants and the pool is excellent. Would visit again. Travelled for business.

Great range of restaurants, good sized and clean rooms, great, friendly and efficient check-in staff. Have stayed there now on three business trips. Can recommend highly.

Room clean and tidy But be aware of paying bond with credit card no cash accepted which does not come back to your bank account for a few weeks. What a scam to gain interest with your money. I have only given two stars as other family members rooms were not to standard with long black hairs in the bathrooms smelly pillows and dirty coffee cups that had obviously not been washed. One room had mould on the ceilling.

Pleasantly surprised, was booked in on a work trip. The rooms are spacious & bed was particularly comfortable. Staff know what good customer service means. So why not 5 star? 2 things — the noise from the central air con/fan unit was loud & frustrating (you know when you hear something & it grates on you) & shower pressure. Minor gripes really. If your sensitive to noise avoid the 3rd floor.

Stayed here because it is local to John Hunter hospital. The staff looked after us, nothing was too much trouble. Meals available onsite. Great value.

Always a favourite for a quick reality escape. Book in, turn off, tune out with literally no reason to leave the whole time you're here. Make like a lizard by the pool during the day, or catchup on sleep in the room, then enjoy dinner and drinks downstairs with no worries of having to get home until the next day. Do a little, or a lot. One of the best go-to places in Newcastle without having to travel all the way up the valley into wine country. Spa room is always a favourite for a max relax weekend, yet to try the newer King suites (most recently updated rooms although minus a spa bath).

Great dining and facilities. Room was comfortable. However kwttle was no working. Gym equipment were quite dated. Great location.

Highly recommend as a place to stay, great place for family with everything conveniently local, kids enjoyed the pool. Will be back again.

Great place for a short stay. They also Provide guests with complimentary gym access and free car parking. Buffet breakfast is reasonable. Pools area is nice.

It is very well laid out and the rooms are very nice. Would be great if there was a bar/for service at the pool. Otherwise was very nice.

Good location with plenty of restaurant choice at the adjoining club. Dined at the Chophouse and had an excellent steak. Rooms were clean and comfortable and staff friendly. Breakfast was average but acceptable.

My husband and I stayed here for our wedding night. It was a really lovely suite, beautiful king sized bed and perfect amenities. Our room had all of the mini bar included and room service was great so we were able to relax and celebrate in our room privately.

Massive modern bathroom. Nice room too. Ordered room service, which delivered a delicious meal. Had a go in the games room and had a small win, so that was nice also. Pricing is pretty high overall.

Very friendly and professional customer service at reception and canteen. Room was clean, rather modern and well appointed. Enjoyable pleasant stay overnight.

It has 2 great landscaped pools and a big spa that has 4 corner areas + 4× separate controls, so each area had a private feel — you didn't have to talk to other adults in there.

Close to shops, and the staff are lovely, but definitely not soundproof. The sound of early morning drunkards and children running up and down the hallways thunders through. If you love crowds, the club will suit you to a t. Used the second bed, other guests had the main one. Ended up using a camping stretcher because of how uncomfortable it was, and how small it made the room. The shower soaks the whole bathroom. Was awoken by an evacuation alarm, only to get outside and nobody there. Called and found out it was a false alarm. Rooms are clean, hallways are ventilated well, carpark is easily accessible.

Great rooms, fantastic helpful staff, terrific pool area, great restaurants and wine list. We always stay here when visiting Newcastle.

My husband totally surprised me with a night at the Executive Inn. We had spent our wedding night there 15 years ago, so he decided we should spend our anniversary there. Beautiful, spacious room with a luxury body pack awaiting me, as well as wine, beer and nibbles. Breakfast on the Terrace was the best, with fresh fruit and berries, creamed rice and the best Bercher muesli I have ever had. Will definitely go back.

Excellent stay. Clean. Comfy. Great staff. And a great safe place to stay will stay again.

Over the last 12 months we have stayed at this establishment on 4 occasions. Each time we have been very impressed with the friendly efficient service of reception and the level of comfort of the rooms. Nothing is ever a problem for the staff and the rates are very reasonable. Breakfast is varied and an excellent selection of either continental or full breakfast served oveooking the pool area. Being part Wests Leagues Club there is access to club facilities and dining rooms.

Stayed in one of the new kings rooms and it was great. The quality of everything. The people at the reception desk. Everything was amazing! Definitely coming back here.

Beautiful rooms. Great service and an excellent location. Water should be free but its still ideal. Local shops nearby serving excellent food and access to a bug car park is available. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. The lift could be upgraded as it is a bit slow but still gets you to where you need to go.

We love lo come for gateway weekends from Sydney… Friendly attention, restaurants and bistro are magnificent … Coffee shop… sweets… cakes… Gelatto bar TO DIE FOR!
We were yesterday the first couple that stayed and the new refurbished rooms. Comfortable and great new design… with view to the pool … therefore we got complimentary drinks and snacks pack… ladies complimentary beauty pack… in house movie and breakfast for both of us. Just only paying AU $ 25. — on top of the room value… completely worth it!
There is always so much to do being also connected to the Club.
I recommend it 100%… can't wait to be staying there again.

Stayed in a spa room on the bottom floor with a pool veiw with my 2 young children… the best place iv stayed by far… helpful staff and a lovely room.

Nice affordable accommodation in Newcastle area. It's attached to West's leagues club and offers a huge selection of dining options.

Haven't even stayed here yet and I hate it. I had to pay upfront 4 months in advance, and then when I had to change the booking due to family illness — it took 4 days to get a refund and I was treated just awfully by the staff and managers.

Highly recommended! The room we booked was the spa room and it was worth it, it was cheap as well and it was well services every time we left and got back to it. The hotel is linked to a club and it is huge, it has restaurants, bars and a casino. Lots of things to do at night time after you do your daily Newcastle adventures.

Becareful when checking in here they debit your credit card for the full amount of the stay plus a $200 bond which takes up to 21 working days to get back. Look at your options.

Room was great facilities great. Just don't think to much on the food. Paid $33 for sirlon steak not impressed with what was on the plate.

After being diagnosed with a health issue which requires regular trips to Newcastle John Hunter Hospital for treatment, we sought out this hotel for its proximatey to the hospital. When asked to lodge the $200 deposit via a credit card, I asked to pay cash as we have done the world over, with no issue. I explained that we did not have a credit card, and there was only sufficient cash on our only debit card to pay for my medical expenses. I pleaded with the receptionist to allow us to pay cash for the one night's accommodation and the deposit of $200. She went off to a back office and finally agreed they would accept our cash, obviously not happy. When we got to our room, everything in the mini bar had been removed, making us feel like criminals. When I had to be treated again at the hospital, I rang to book a room, the receptionist checked our details on the computer, and I was told that I could not stay there again, because I wanted to pay cash and that was unacceptable, so I had to find elsewhere to stay. I have never been discriminated against because I have wanted to pay cash before — how disappointing.

This place is a little pricey but is worth all your pennies. The reception staff are excellent and very helpful. Being close to the gaming area, there was great food which was also served with great customer service staff. It is really close to the shopping centres as well. Definately recommend anybody to stay here.
