No complains so far, rooms was clean and fairly quit, great location right on the river.

Most disgusting discrimination ever seen! Defence staff member refused entry due to bring unvaxed but accommodation booked by Defrnce! Would never set foot in there again 0/10

Nice place for family and couples.

We are an older couple that love to take our e-bikes when we stay at Rydges Newcastle on the Harbour Front. Very helpful reception staff who secure our bikes in a seperate room. Lovely breakfast in restaurant overlooking the Harbour. Plan to go there on a very regular basis.

I would recommend it because the receptionist was brilliant, and the accommodation was completely love. However a couple of the female bar staff were quite ignorant and I'll put that down to lack of training but really no acceptable at a high end establishment Unfortunately the deal breaker for us was the deplorable breakfast. Extremely underwhelming. Actually quite awful. I'd avoid a cooked breakfast there in future.

We’ve been here many times and always enjoy our stay. Friendly staffs great ambiance, accessible to a variety of restaurants.
Relaxing view great staff very helpful for valet parking. My only negative comments are their bathroom floor needs more cleaning got stains on tiles. Apart from that everything is great 👍

Amazing views, very quiet, friendly, smiley professional staff, luxurious setting, claen, spacious rooms, excellent room service, even bathrobes available, so comfortable beds, luxurious towels and toiletries and mini bar range is wide. Quality appliances as well. Location is excellent! Highly recommend! Bonus you can see TV from bath in the King Suite!

Hubby booked 2 nights in a Waterview King Spa suite as a surprise for my birthday and how disappointing it was. For $330 per night in Newcastle we expected way more than a pokey room with well worn linen, an old lounge, furniture that looked like it came from a 70’s op shop, chipped mugs, dirty carpet and a mixture of different tiles in the bathroom. We ran out of tissues, toilet paper and tea, sugar and milk as it looked like they didn’t restock after the last person, the quilt was dirty with what looked like blood and the shower was impossible to use and dangerous to climb in and out of. Overall the only good thing about it was the view… the room was awful, it was dated, in need of a total revamp and definitely not worth the $330 per night we paid… didn’t look like the pictures. Wouldn’t recommend it, so disappointing!

Beautiful place to stay. Lovely clean room with comfortable beds. Walking distance to some amazing places to eat and we loved swimming in the pool and the boys took great advantage of the free use of the gym next door.

This place was fantastic. Beautiful location, pool, food, drinks, room and staff. Every single one of them!.
It was truly a relaxing night for us, so much so we decided to stay another night!.
our daughter has coeliac disease and this hotel was by far the best for catering to her. Seperate GF toaster and bread tucked away from the rest. The best GF banana bread. The chefs were amazing at accommodating her for evening meals. She was beyond thrilled she could eat with us!.
I have returned home 100% recharged with great memories from our little gettaway. Would highly recommend this place to anyone and cant wait to return for a night of luxury soon!.

Poor service, forgot order, didn’t have pork belly or chowder seafood platter was small and no accompanying food whatsoever ever. Then didn’t even have Kalyan for my affagato.

We had a wonderful Mother’s Day high tea. The variety of food was great and everything was very tasty. Service was wonderful and we were made to feel very special. Thank you for a fab experience.

Booked a High Tea for my Mum's 92 birthday with great expectations. Firstly there was no-one in the restaurant and I had to return to reception to find out where to go. Table decorations were 2 vases each with 2 leaves from an indoor plant. Scones served first then no new plates so the plates with jam and cream on them had to be used for the savories and sandwiches. The tier stand was not balanced making it risky to pick up anything. We had to ask for tea and coffee to be served about half way through the High Tea (and then each was served with an Arnotts biscuit on the saucer! ). The vegetarian option included a lettuce sandwich! Such a lovely venue. Such expectations. Shame about the experience. Need to do better.

Great location overlooking the ever changing harbour. Superbly appointed hotel — fantastic dining, great bar and sensational rooms. And did I mention the staff? They are outstanding!

Upon arrival to check in Christmas Day to find out our room was not on high floor with a Harbour view as requested & as promised when booking made months prior was not a great start, with some discussion on this topic an acceptable outcome was reached. Thank you to the desk person whom handled the situation in a very professional manner. We were booked in for the Christmas smorgasbord for dinner with my hubby’s family, the staff were running all night busy as they were under staffed, plates of prawn shells etc sat in table overflowing not cleared & replaced, no finger bowls on table to use after peeling prawns, cracking crabs etc we noticed a difference in the types of food / desserts offered compared to previous years when Crowne ran the hotel. The staff in the restaurant were under the pump trying their best & when made aware of issues mentioned were professional & looked after us. To sum up nothing against the staff everyone we came into contact / dealt with were wonderful, though management / owners whom make final decisions maybe look at adding more of a selection for desserts. A big shout out to the CHEFS you guys / gals rock great job with preparation of foods & the WAITRESS & WAITERS you were understaffed and did your very best to help us have a lovely Christmas celebrating with our families, thank you as we know you giving up your family time for us would be very hard, hoping owners giving you all a bonus. PS Santa was great too.

Our organisation chose to conference with Rydges Newcastle and as the coordinator, I could not have been more impressed by the professionalism, patience, diligence, and above & beyond service I received in the lead up. Coordinating the function along with accommodation, some complex dietary requirements and 3 contributing facilitators meant navigating MANY moving parts and regular changes from just as many stakeholders. The entire Rydges team were meticulous in their approach and turned the "challenging and complicated" to "simple and streamlined". After weeks of planning, the day ran seamlessly without a single issue thanks to the thorough and watchful eyes of the conferencing and hospitality teams. Everyone I dealt with was welcoming, polite, professional and accountable. The customer service experience was exceptional, and I was delighted by their attention to detail. The hotel resources, amenities and meals were excellent. We wanted for nothing. As such, I was able to relax, participate and really enjoy the event. My team had a great day, my MD was thrilled, and in my 20 years as an EA, I have never enjoyed such a successful event. My most sincere thanks and appreciation go to the collectively lovely Christina, Kim, Bec, Steph, Clarisa and ALL the other beautiful staff who made our day perfect. I cannot thank you enough! The right people in the right job who really care about what they do. Thank you all so very much!

My husband and I spent a lovely night here this week. The staff were lovely especially Concierge Amanda. Our meals for dinner in the restaurant were excellent… the lamb was wonderful! The spread offered for breakfast was huge and we really enjoyed it. Our room was lovely and comfortable and the view was terrific. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Loved the location, Harbour views, General atmosphere, enjoyed a drink and cheese plate from the bar. Disappointed no fluffy robe or slippers to relax in after a soothing bath. Some furniture getting tired, the sofa in my room was most uncomfortable and sagged into the middle badly.

Stayed for our 27th wedding anniversary and found a congratulatory card and complimentary bottle of wine as a gift. Nice touch. Great views of the Harbour. Fantastic meal in the restaurant topped off with great service. We will be back!
