Ness and the kitchen staff were great. The food was fresh and quality. We can recommend. Shell and paul.

It was our 56 wedding anniversary and we visited Tenterfield Tavern and the experience was wonderful — the staff were amazing and the owner Nathan was switched on and made our anniversary a fabulous time. Excellent 10/10

If there’s one thing I can guarantee, it’s that you will not be disappointed, bring yourself in, grab a feed, grab a bev and know you’re in a for fabulous night. Wonderful staff, great ambience and a phenomenal owner. Do yourself a favour and pop in for a good time.

We stayed for a few days recently. The 4 star accommodation is clean, modern, contemporary and luxe. The staff were all super friendly and made us feel part of their family. The Bistro was delicious hearty pub grub. We will be back! Highly recommend.

Large clean room, good size bar fridge (most important for travellers that need to keep the next days beers as well as a bottle of wine cold! ). A couple of goodies to enable you to have breakfast without going out to a cafe and no noise from the Tavern. We also had a meal in the restaurant and whilst it was a little slow to arrive (Monday public holiday — one of only a couple of places open in town) it was really good. We really enjoyed our 2 day stay.

I'm really sad to say this but the food was terrible. I ordered the lamb shank and it sounded so good, the veggies were cold the potato were under cooked and the lamb shank was tough, my sister ordered the garlic prawns and she enjoyed it. I always bragged about how great the food was but so disappointed. Hopefully they improve as we are back there in a few weeks.

We had lunch here about 2 weeks ago. Previously eaten here and no problem. This time far different.
prawns and rice ended up as prawns and pasta when collecting as " we've run out of rice" (kidding, who runs out of rice). Would have been great had we been told before collecting the 2 meals.
Would like a coffee, sorry we havent turned the machine on, not sure how long it takes to heat up and we usually only sell a couple a day.
The girl behind the bar was friendly but overworked looking after gaming, bottleshop, bar and covid check in. Pity as mentioned it was good previously. Perhaps its changed hands but needs a lot of work.

Just like to say my hubby and I had a great meal here while visiting Tenterfield for a night. We both had crumbed cutlets, what a huge meal with the best lamb cutlets we have ever eaten. Great veg too, cold beer. Beautiful friendly staff and great atmosphere.
Can’t wait to visit in winter. Thanks again.

Do yourself a favour & head to the Tenterfield Tavern & enjoy the 5 star meals by new Chef Justin. The meals were perfection & the service was excellent with a country flair!

Bloody good feed of creamy garlic prawns for $15

Food was absolutely terrible well over priced … no flavour what so ever sauce on the steak tasted like a whole bottle of pepper was thrown on top. Not even my toddler who usually eats anything could eat his meal defianately won't be back.

Good pub food, cold refreshing beer served by friendly staff.

Had to stay overnight last minute. We had a very pleasant stay, room was clean.

The Tenterfield Tavern & Motel is great value for money. A big room with every facility and very comfortable. Everything is spotless. I will stay here again, when next in Tenterfield. Oh and the Tavern and dining room are excellent also. Michael Brown.

Great food for a good price, generous servings as expected in a pub!

Stayed at the motor inn. Very clean and modern. Food at tavern was great and the meals were large. Only downside was The Wi-Fi. Not enough Wi-Fi to go around and couldn’t use their Wi-Fi for our entire stay.

Delicious food, Wonderful service and a fantastic play area for kids of all ages. Strongly recommend this place for travellkng families and it is very affordable.

Very happy we decided to stop here for lunch when passing through Tenterfield. Decent size tasty meals at good prices. I can't remember the last time I only paid $6 for a kahlua and coke. Clean modern toilets.

Convenient clean large room. Queen and large single beds and sofa in room. Quiet because rooms are behind tavern away from highway. Shops within walking distance. Only drawback was 2 lots of steps from car park and rooms at back to tavern and restaurant BUT you can avoid them by walking up the incline and entering either through the surprisingly well stocked bottle shop or through the front door. Staff friendly.
