My experience at the Brighton Toronto was nothing short of deplorable
The way in which my partner and myself were treated by the hotel staff was disgusting
The hotel elevator was in a filthy state — clearly not adhering to Covid policies
The hotel staff entered our room while we were sleeping 😳😡
I will never EVER stay here nor will I ever recommend this hotel to anybody.

When visiting family in Toronto we have for many years stayed at the Brighton, walking distance to everything and some units have water views over the lake.

5 Stars.

The Brighton is a lovely motel in an excellent location. There are a good variety of different sized rooms, some with a lake view and all of them very clean. The location is great because it is near restaurants, cafes and supermarkets (3min walk). We bought our own food and cookedcooked in the kitchenette at our unit. A little on the pricey side, but you do get a great place to stay. I would live to come back.

Wow! The staff, cleanliness, rooms, and the comfy bed, all get 5 ***** from me!

Good place for an overnight stay. Place was clean and there is plenty of parking. Internet allowance is pretty horrible though.

Good facilities but cleaning is not consistent.

The Brighton has excellent friendly staff. The apartment I stayed in on 12th and 13th April 2018 was very tidy with excellent views of Lake Macquarie.

Clean and tidy. Well that was until the last few days when we discovered that the staff done work Sundays or holidays so we went without the room being cleaned or beds made, no fresh towels or replacement tea, coffee, sugar etc Bit of a let down to be honest. Some great views and things to do on your doorstep mind you.

Have stayed for multiple nights multiple times. Is my favorite place in Lake Maq. Staff fantastic. Rooms great. Views … sorry distracted by the lake.

Very convenient location, this Motel has friendly staff, good clean accommodation and is reasonably priced. The lake view rooms are best but not easy to get — book early!

Very conveniently located within 2-min walk to a local shopping village with Woolworths & BWS for your essential needs. It's literally opposite a jetty with an open foreshore providing a relaxing place to just sit and chill or set up a BBQ feast of your own. The 1br apartment we stayed in is decent for the price, clean. The only problem might be there's an air con in the lounge room only and in the bed room there's just a ceiling fan. We stayed during Spring so it wasn't to hot to bothet us, but a Summer stay may be problematic.

Exceptional customer service. Kim was very kind to greet us prior checking in and we were well look after during our stay. We had an overview view room so it was relax. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. We left our phone charger in the apartment. I called up next morning and Kim had no hesitation to send it back to us. Thank you!

Great Location, Friendly & Helpful Staff.

Nice location. Friendly staff. Our room needed to be much more thoroughly cleaned. It was very dusty. My daughters clothes were dirty after she crawled on the floor.

We stay here every year and its a lovely spot across from the lake and close to shops, etc. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, however, won't be staying here again as we were disappointed this time. The carpets were dirty (our feet were black within half an hour of walking on them), nothing seemed to be cleaned properly. Our "penthouse" was overpriced for what it was. Very disappointing.

Decent hotel, friendly service but forgot to put bath towels in my room. So stress tho, I just used a hand towel haha.

Surprisingly large space. Stayed in a bedroom apartment. The bathroom was big and roomy and the shower head has a temperature and usage gauge. Full kitchen. And a sofa bed. Only prob is the bedroom is a tad cool if the heater barely heating it unless it was on a high setting.

The staff here have been fantastic, over and above, rooms are great and view is spectacular, cannot rate them highly enough.

WOW… My husband and I have been looking for a place to stay south of Newcastle when travelling to and from Northern NSW. We have finally found it… YES YES YES! The rooms are really spacious and clean, the staff so pleasant and helpful and we were lucky enough to get a room with a view of the lake. The underground garage was an unexpected bonus. All shops and restraurants within a very short stroll. We had dinner at the local RSL (which is just around the corner) and was pleasantly surprised with the size and quality of the meal. The Brighton will definitely be our stop over on all our trips to and from Tassie from now on.

Rooms were alright, technology was a bit old, internet wasnt that quick, bathroom was old and there wasnt enough soap, service was good.

We stayed at the Brigton to attend a family function. We booked two adjoining rooms. Both rooms were huge and well maintained. With the two room booking this also gave us a full loungeroom and kitchen area. It also meant we had two bathrooms. The car park are had good sized spaces for large cars. I would definitely stay here again.

Exquisite value for local accommodation right on the water. The rooms were just as displayed online, service was friendly and professional, no matter the local setting. I think other travelling business stayers will appreciate this place.

My partner and I stayed here for one night as we were in the area for a wedding. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which was very spacious. The balcony was huge and had views of the lake. It also had a kitchen and lounge. It was clean and the staff were friendly when we checked in and out. It's also close to the main shops, cafes and restaurants in Toronto. My only complaint was that the 'double bed' was two single beds pushed together so it wasn't comfortable sleeping near the middle of the bed. I understand that hotels do this to have more flexibility for bookings, but when I book a double room I like a double/queen bed.

Booked a single room on the second floor and the room is spacious. There's an air conditioning unit in the living area but only a fan in the bedroom. The balconies are spacious too and the room we got had two balconies; one accessible from the living area and one from the bedroom. The location is good too as it is close water and the Main Street. The only complain I had is that the bed comprises of two single beds joined together, so the middle section of the bed is uncomfortable to sleep on. Otherwise everything was fantastic.

The room was clean and had all the essentials needed. But big praises go out to John (at Reception) for his friendly and fantastic service!
