U can never beat a beach, great for all occasion s even taking the dog for a walk.

Nice beach. No fish according to my research so far… Plenty of surfers. Adequate free parking (yay).

Very beautiful beach worth visiting in hunter valley, you will not be disappointed, not ur average beach!

Yes this is a dog friendly beach. However, on a weekend it is quite busy and not everyone is a responsible owner keeping control of their off leash dogs. During the week when quieter much more enjoyable.

Located 11minutes from Charlestown square with lots of free parking redhead beach is perfect magical even with two weddings taking place while we relaxed on the sand and if people aren't your thing we saw plenty of dogs too on the other side of the beach.

I hate this beach, could be beautiful with the great timber walkway and everything but every hipster takes their dog along it, the whole place smells of dogshit, as there is bag on bag hanging from the trees, or otherwise just. Big piles of dogshit everywhere. Shame.

One of the nice beach I went to. Not much crowd more like a local people who lives close by. Great for kids.

A nice big beach with plenty of sand, lots of trees on the outskirts for shade, and good access. Car parking is a bit limited, but loved that there is a dedicated off-leach dog area — there were hundreds of dogs enjoying the sand and the water. A nice place to come for a visit and a play.

Amazing dog friendly beach which is a massive beach so plenty of room for/without dogs. Beautiful.

Love this beach. Kids always have fun in and around the rocks. Just need the cafe up and running.

This is a fantastic dog friendly beach. It is offers one of the best leash free experiences around Newcastle. The beach itself is good for swimming sometimes, but can get quite rough.

Great place! Patrolled in swimming season, decent waves, surfing options, good amenities, small Cafe during business hours and peak times, parking good, long stretches of beach to walk, shady board walk behind the beach, dogs allowed off leash south of main swimming area.

4x4 access to the sand dunes. The sand here is very soft. Free camping allowed on the beach in 4x4 access areas.

Good safe place for the dogs. Good swimming. Good parking.

Spiders in the cabin, very disspointed with the facilites. Almost no hot water, bad smells coming from the pipes. Dont stay here.

We had the most enjoyable stay at this venue the cabin was very clean and cosy. A short walk to the beach the residents were wonderful with everyone we seen said hello or stopped and had a chat. The staff were also wonderful and so was the price. Aaa+.

A REGRETFUL stay and will not return NOR recommend. Our Deluxe Cabin seem nice on arrival but was more on a par with a standard cabin. Car parking beside cabin way too small. You will struggle to fit a family sedan. Forget about fitting your 4x4 so be prepared to walk from alternative carpark like we did. Try not to crush the gardens of the permanent residents as you park your SMALL CAR next to your cabin. Beds were not made and then wrong size linen supplied. OH — your linen is an additional cost — I've not experienced this before for a 'Deluxe Cabin'. Cockroaches were present, dodgy cooktop plates on top of small oven (no standard cook top present) and yes, you even have to find money for the BBQ! NO complimentary tea nor coffee supplies are present as apparently people are too messy with these! Cleaning equipment (ie brooms) were terribly dirty (I refused to use them) and the toilet seat was dangerously loose. AND — if you pass over your credit card to pay — you're slugged a surcharge! Asked for a small refund after sharing my concern but didn't receive. Was advised that I would be contacted after my grievances were passed on but this didn't happen either — so not happy considering this experience cost me $130+ for a family of 2 adults and 2 small children. My advice — go elsewhere. Or ask for a CABIN INSPECTION before you commit to a payment.

On arrival the cabins looked nice on inspection the bed wasnt made there was no tea or coffee no soap in shower the TV didnt work properly very diisapointed for the money we paid ive stayed in better pub rooms lost me.
