Room is smaller than a shoe box! Over priced to stay in a shoe box. No parking spot, no microwave and winging neighbours who complained about us when all we did was have “indoor voice” conversation in our room! Food was rubbish paid $81 for 3 meals and my chicken Cesar salad I think the chicken was a reheated tyre from someone’s vehicle possibly a vehicle and my salad was all mashed up texture like a risotto so gross!

Stopped at the pub for a late lunch. Steak and salad, was delicious. I was really impressed with the staff, really friendly chatty and always busy collecting and cleaning. Creates a great vibe for the skiers.

Clean and family friendly, staff accommodating and polite, awesome beds and great brekky buffet. Could do with some way of refreshing the air in the bathrooms, perhaps another modality of getting to top floors besides stairs (bad knees) and some room service past 9pm, at least during holiday season (Christmas and new year's). The food was nice, it was the end of the ski season and fairly quiet so didn't need to wait at all. The prices were not bad considering the cost of some things in Thredbo. The food was nice and fresh and the staff were friendly. Would recommend.

The place is so solemn, peaceful with an amazing view of snowy mountains. Plenty choice of restaurants in the village. The kebab there is delicious. Also shops for skiing. We didn't stay or book in the hotel we went there to dine.

Great place to not only stay but experience the night life / Apres at. Apologies for not having an image of the rooms, but the facilities are just what you need featuring: — Adjustable heating in the room — Wooden interior to give a very much homely log cabin vibe — Clean bathrooms & daily made beds — Stunning views — A great & full buffet breakfast — Events on the weekend all the time to give you something to do after the lifts close. And finally of course — literally across the road from the main lifts & hire places.

Great location with many activities close by (walking or free shuttle bus around village near door step). Pros — clean rooms with very comfortable bedding, warm heaters, good hot showers, great views, excellent drying room setup and board storage. Breakfast and Dinners at Cascades was amazing. The other close by restaurants also had great food. Cons — a lot of stairs, a little dated but excellently maintained. Windows a little dirty. Car parking onsite limited but available further away. This was a fabulous place to stay and explore the snow slopes for our family of four. We were warned by reception when booking that it can be noisy with nightlife music but it wasn’t anything we didn’t sleep through, stopped around 11pm. Noise and cons did not bother us and we would certainly stay again.

The Alpine Hotel has an old-fashioned lodge feel, lots of wood. It feels a little dated (definitely not modern) but also still plush. The lounge room is a highlight, a big fireplace and comfy lounge chairs. Staff were friendly throughout. The room we had was very straightforward, not a lot of room and amenities were basic. It is expensive for what you get, but the location can't be beaten. Just across the rode from ski lifts, right in the village, and a short free bus to Friday Flat.

Perfectly located for accommodation and has excellent dining options for most budgets we dine at the bistro when we want to save money or Cascades when we want something a bit fancier. Pool tables are a good place to hang and meet people after dinner.

Beautiful location in Kosciuszko National Park. Great rooms. Be careful driving at night as feral horses and deer are being seen in larger numbers crossing the Alpine Way.

A nice place to stop and have a beer, especially out on the deck however it is designed for large numbers of people and moving people through quickly felt more like a fast food restaurant rather than a local pub. But in comparison to other Alpine hotels this one certainly isn't the worst. I would come here again on occasion.

Five star prices for three star accommodation. But good considering the location.

Warm cozy place and people! The staff are really lovely, food was amazing as well. The bar has some amazing finger food, burgers too. One of my favorite places in Australia ❤️

Great staff, drinks and food! Wide selection to choose from and people ACTUALLY want to help you (that doesn't often happen! ) Sitting in the outside court yard there is an amazing ambience that is accentuated by the establishment, the live music, attractions!

Great location, close to the main attractions of thredbo and the chairlift up Mount Kosciusko. Went here on the summer and they put on a BBQ in the weekend as well as close proximity to the other bars and restaurants. Only heating in the rooms so reply on the ceiling fan to keep cool in the summer.

The website is extremely misleading. They room rates keep fluctuating depending on who you speak to. Website offer a far lower rate versus when you call the hotel. The staff is extremely rude.

Great bar, open till late! Helpful staff. Bar has a breathalyzer aslo if you want to check up before you drive.

Food and atmosphere was great. However, not really a suitable place for people in wheelchairs. My mum was sick and needed to go to the bathroom but her chair didn't fit through the bathroom door.

Stayed here for a day and thought the resort was stunning. Food was great and facilities were very well organised. Had a great time.

It's pretty decent, especially if you get a good deal like 1 night free. Don't expect a modern, spotless room though. The rooms are clean and tidy but old. The beds can be very hit and miss, I've stayed here 3 times, one was terrible (literally the worst bed I've ever used, it was collapsed on one side so I rolled off constantly), one was pretty good, and one was awesome. The kitchens aren't great either, tongs are like hens teeth, knives are terrible, small choice of pots and pans, although I've managed to cook decent meals almost every night I've been here. Overall I would definitely recommend staying here for a short stay for the price and location. Parking in thredbo is very limited too so try to car pool if you're sharing a room.

1. Free Wi-Fi but download speeds terrible. Tried speeds and download less than 0.1Mbps and upload 3Mbps. Tried again early hours during low usage, still the same. 2. No phone in room so can't cal reception. At around 8:20 pm on Saturday went to reception but it was unattended. There is a phone at reception desk to dial 9. You call and let it ring for over 10 min but no one answers. Went downstairs and tried again 15 min later and same problem. 3. Around 50% of front desk a polite and friendly the otber half short tempered. So ad hoc customer service. 4. TV kept losing channels, had to auto scan to search for channela. It takes almost 7 min. We then didn't turn off TV in fear of losing channels again. Thresbo Alpine Hotel is run down. It needs upper management to understand how to monitor and provide customer.

Hotel is situated just beside a river. Rooms are big enough and clean. Wifi speed is quite fast. The heating can be improved though and electronic equipment are bit old. 4 stars.

Friendly staff everything was so convenient and available. Good food and shopping close by. Short easy walk to the lifts. Bed was comfy, room was clean and best of all quiet. Nice view of the courtyard and mountain. Book the private sauna room it's perfect after a cold day in the snow. Live music from Tim and his band playing classics, show tunes, pop and rock. Very talented Tim played guitar and percussion while singing. Big fireplace near the bar had plenty of comfortable places to lounge. In sunny weather there are firepits in the courtyard by the heated pool and hot tub. Thank you Thredbo Alpine Hotel!

Nice area with free bus going around and some entertainment available for free. Food at the ground floor is ok quality and variety. I liked my kebab and my wife liked her pizza. Price is understandably higher due to location and seasonal public.

Beautiful place located at the heart of Thredbo. The town center, eateries, bars and shops are located close by at a very comfortable walking distance. The main chairlift is also across the road accessible by a safe bridge. The location is just perfect and you won't go wrong with this one. You can also opt-in for breakfast option at slightly higher rate but it is worth it. It is a bit pricey but location and great service justifies it. They also have live music at times in the room with a fireplace. Very romantic and cozy atmosphere with bar service when the music is on. Couple of negatives for me were the bedding which wasn't comfortable as per my liking was a bit springy. Other item was the ironing was common and not in the room. Overall, it is a great location if you a re looking for convenience and location but don't mind spending a bit more.

This is the place to stay in Thredbo. Everything is so close and accessible. The staff are fantastic and willing to help with everything. At night you go to sleep listening to the water flowing over the rocks in the river. I'm thoroughly enjoying my first time in Thredbo. ☺

Friendly service clean rooms and the cascade restaurant is great.

Despite the fact in Italy we would call these "hills" rather than "mountains", this place was incredibly charming. The owners are lovely and the views from the place (restaurant and rooms) are romantic. It was nice to observe the fog covering the tops of the mountains in front of us, while sipping a hot tea in the warmth of the hotel's terrace restaurant.

The staff is friendly and it is very close to the happenings of Thredbo Village. They have great communal areas for social events and were fantastic hosts of the Thredbo Jazz Festival which was the reason I came down to the village.

I was greeted with a bottle of wine. The room was cosy and everything was above par in terms of comfort. If you get a balcony room overlooking the liftchair it is worth it.

Rooms are small but bigger than many in Thredbo. Comfortable, clean, quiet. Nice decor, excellent breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff.

Our room was right next to the village smoke and as my brother suffered from asthma, they moved us to a suite. Their service was fantastic and I would rate the food 5/5. Definitely an awesome option for someone looking for hotels to stay in at Thredbo. I hear that their knocking the hotel down and building a better one in its place — more modern and unique. Can't wait for that to happen as the last time we went there it was already so great.
