Great motel for the price and distance to Civic centre. Excellent features, slightly small apartment but fantastic in every other sense. Great heating. The TV was good quality with HDMI inputs for a Chromecast or similar. The internet speed was excellent, 40mb/s.

Location was fantastic, with the centre of the CBD, just walking distance away. Rooms are fine, a little dated though. Car parking is very limited though, as it shares with permenent tenants.

The hotel is in a fantastic location next to restaurants and shops. The rooms are a bit dated, but they're functional, spacious, and great for the price. Our room had a couple of dirty towels and sheets when we arrived, but the manager went above and beyond to rectify the situation by obviously supplying us with new towels and linens, offering a refund of two nights, and leaving us chocolate and a bottle of wine. Can't beat the excellent service that we received for the price.

Old tired room. Heat did not work in apartment — solution was to provide a space heater (which also did not work properly). Linen was thin and needs to be replaced. Hotel is close to Canberra Centre, but that is about all it has going for it. Would not recommend.

Great hotel, great location, friendly staff, we stayed there for the weekend and it was really good.

Located near Canberra Centre, Casino Canberra and lots of places to eat and/drink. The room was arranged to sleep 6 people (with two on a sofa) and had a spacious outdoor area. There was only one bathroom to share between the guests which was the major drawback from our stay.

Our unit is neat and tidy juat wondering on parking as first in first park so we will see how we go.

Great location just near the Canberra city center. Spacious apartments with well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed our stay here.

Stayed 4 night this week. Room was clean, comfortable and serviced daily. Ideal as walking distance into the city and the Canberra War Memorial. Public transport very good. Would stay there again if in Canberra.

Firstly great location. Rooms aren't too bad, but very dated. However the lady on reception, though very nice, was not with it at all. Firstly kept asking questions over and over that we had answered like suggesting parking 5 times even though from the start we said we didn't need it. Then gave us the room key to some other poor person's room so when we walked in there was someone inside. This made us feel that our belongings would not be safe if they are just handing out random room keys) Every person we encountered at the desk was talking about issues with bookings or room keys. If you decided to stay here make sure to arrive an hour earlier then you want to be in your room.

Staff, room good, bed comfortable. Facilitate need urgent attention — pool cold, spa water level below jets and not heated.

Old dirty and outdated. Upon walking into the room your overwhelmed by a musty old smell. Awful. I do not recommend staying here.

We decided to stay at the Waldorf Apartments becesce it had good reviews, what a mistake! The apartment is outdated, the beds and the flimsy pillows were very uncomfortable and old. I shudder to think when (or if) the bedspread was last cleaned. The bathroom was moundly, the towels were thin and smelt of cheap detergent. The lounge and kitchen felt sticky to touch and we couldn’t help wonder if the carpet had ever had a clean… The only thing that this place has going for it is it’s in a good location.

Spacious apartments. Centrally located. Apartments are clean and affordable. Hotel staff is friendly and house keeping comes at a reasonable time lol (not always the case).

It's a little sneaky that they call themselves the Waldorf, as they are no association. In suite laundry and kitchen is a big plus. No elevator to the 8th floor, and the pool is in the 9th. $15 parking. Would stay again.

Tired, dated decor, dirty linen, average service, no free onsite parking — it's expensive and limited. **Be warned that top floor access is via stairs only — no lift for wheelchair or luggage!? The building should be gutted.

The location is great, just opposite the shipping mall. The apartmentbwe stayed is quite small, only the main bedroom has sunlight.

Wonderful experience! Rooms are huge and included a full-size office and lounge, reasonably central location and very helpful staff. My room even included a fully-equipped kitchen!

Nothing too fancy but very comfortable and had everything we needed. We stay here because it's one of the only places where I'm guaranteed a bath.

While I wasn't intending to visit the Waldorf, the staff were incredibly helpful in pointing me in the right direction. Friendly and Welcoming staff and a great part of the city with shoppin and restaurants within a few minutes walk.

Nice and friendly staff, fairly quiet, appears to have good facilities like a pool. Was unclear if adjacent restaurant/cafe was open or not. Rec room couch had seen better days.

Absoluetly horrible customer service, the receptionist argued that I made the wrong booking by selecting the wrong option (king size bed) which I didnt. She suggested that she will split the king bed into twin beds and the beds representation were just awful. One of my worst experience in a hotel considering the price 190AUD.

Could not have been happier with the Waldorf, the location was excellent, the room extremely spacious and comfortable, kitchen was fully stocked and staff were quite helpful. Would definitely recommend it!

There were some good and bad things about this hotel. First the good. The location is great. My room was a fully furnished apartment with a kitchen, plenty of space, bed reasonably comfortable. Now the bad. When we arrived (around 6pm), there was no one at the desk and the door was closed so we had to wait 15 minutes in the freezing cold. In the middle of the night I smelled smoke in my room. I couldn't understand where it is coming from. Only then it hit me — I was staying on a smoking floor! I wish they told me this in the beginning! Don't stay on floor 2 — it smells like smoke.

Not only is it very ordinary, the bed was uncomfortable and there was a problem with the heat. They weren't willing to look at the issue for 45 minutes due to only one person being on duty. The location is good but the amenities are completely lacking.

Great location. Room was clean and tidy. Bed was 2 singles pushed together but otherwise okay. Shower over bath with a curtain not a screen.

Enjoyed a drink with friends at the bar. Atmosphere was ok but it was very noisy.

The Waldorf is clean with a modern feel to the room. It has a friendly 24hr staff. Cons: elevator only services up to floor 7 (my room is floor 8), the "bouble" bed is 2 single beds and 2 single mattresses leaving it with a horrible ridge down the center. Bottom line it is a lovely place, great for business trips perfect studio apartment at a great rate. But don't bring your partner.

Terrible customer service. Would not let me book 2 nights as I had a Groupon voucher, even though the dates I requested were NOT listed as blackout dates, all the manager said was too bad. Do not bother with them.

Good place to stay, our apartment was spacious and we had enough space for our baby to crawl and play.

I'd give an extra star but the whole musical parking spaces thing they have going on is b******t! It's not hard guys. 1 room — 1 car — 1 night. I was charged a parking fee for the "privilege" of putting my car to the side of the drive and then ducking downstairs every hour or so until a space was vacated. Leaving it outside for any grub to vandalize or burgle (as was suggested) is never an option. Throwing your hands in the air, declaring it all too hard is not professional and hardly the sort of thing expected from a high end hotel such as yours.

Stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment with office. It was quite decent in size. The kitchen had a all the basic utensils for cooking. The office was quite large. There was a separate laundry. One problem was the 2 single beds to make a queen.

More like the Oldorf! I was initially very disappointed with the Waldorf. As when I entered the poorly signposted car park under the building it was very difficult to find a parking space, as many are reserved for residents. The room was very dated but would have looked nice two decades ago. But the thing was this hotel is still nice despite that. The front desk was polite and helpful, rooms are well serviced and the elevators are quick. If you're looking for a place to stay right in the centre of Canberra and don't care about aesthetic looks, this is not a bad place to stay.

The 'aldorf may well have been a 4 star hotel in it's day, but it now can't claim that title. I expected to be able to park my car, but unfortulately since many of the rooms have been sold to private owners, there is insufficient parking for hotel guests. Finding street parking near the hotel when the hotel car park was full was almost impossible. The room minibar fridge was noisy and staff were not able to do anything about it. The blanket on the bed was visibly marked (dirty). There wasn't enough water in the spa to allow the jets to work. The 'W' in the hotel sign wasn't working — an indication of the general decay of the hotel maintenance. Note: The staff were very pleasant. I have stayed at the 'aldorf (missing W) hotel in the past and had a very pleasant stay — everything I would have expected of a 4 start hotel. Alas, those stars have now dimmed. Perhaps the plan is to sell off the remaining hotel rooms and cut back on maintenance to squeeze the last dregs of profit out of the old girl. While it is an excellent location, I would not stay at the 'aldof again.
