We travelled to Canberra last month as a surprise trip for our son to the Harlem Globetrotters Game. Upon walking into the Lobby it really has that wow factor. Check in was quick and easy, we stayed in the Presidential Suite and I truly cannot fault this room at all. It was bigger than the average apartment, split over two levels with amazing views of the park from both balconies. It was well equipped with all the comforts of home. The hotel is in a perfect location within walking distance to Civic Shopping Centre and many restaurants and if your looking for social activity the Casino is right next door. The buffet Breakfast at this hotel has a wonderful selection of hot and cold options and the staff were prompt in escorting us to our table and bringing us well needed coffee. Thank you :-) My only disappointment (and it really is only minor) was that I had arranged with Michelle in advance to have a roll away bed placed in the suite for our son. We checked in around 3pm and it wasn't in the suite at that time but staff advised it would be done immediately. We went to the game and came back around 10pm and it was still not there. However, front desk staff were extremely apologetic and acted immediately to resolve the issue and the evening Manager personally bought it to our suite himself, apologising continuously. To add to the professionalism of this hotel, the same manager greeted us in the morning by bringing up our car from valet parking and to apologise once again. This is a perfect example of 5 star customer service. All in all we had a very pleasant stay and regardless of the small hiccup we will definitely stay here again next trip to Canberra.
