Hostel

The hotel is located quite close to the centre. The staff is very attentive and informs you about restaurants and other issues related to the area.
More positive things: 1. — There is a common seating area with armchairs, maps, books, games, puzzles… very, very interesting!
2. — There is a garden around the building.
3. — You can use the kitchen in 12-to 10-night hours and there is a community fridge where you can keep your food.
The only negative: breakfast. It's clearly better.

Good place to use as your base when exploring Patagonia national parks. Very nice personal. Nice and cozy ambiance. Breakfast is quite simple though.

The receptionist was very attentive. Breakfast was very good and the service too. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

We liked everything: the great attention of all the staff, the facilities, the breakfast (early, home and full), the Internet connection, the kitchen, the location, the hot shower, and some more things that we surely forget to say now. Absolutely recommended.

Well worth the price, which is fair. The staff, the breakfast, the ambiance, and the rooms are all top notch for a hostel. In 6 months touring North, Central, and South America, this was one of our favorites!

The attention received from all the staff has been excellent, with great predisposition to cover any need that the guest could have.

The hostel was very comfortable. The front desk help us with everything we need including booking Hotel tickets for other places, tours and bus tickets. The rooms are comfortable clean and the shower was great. There is heating which warms up the room. The hotel is near all the restaurants and the main road. There is a shared kitchen that you can use which ins open late at night.

The place was great. Clean and close to the main area. The staff was very helpful with everything that we needed and spoke English which was a fantastic help.

Very warm atmosphere, very nice decor! Full breakfast (and delicious). We choose a double room with private bathroom; Comfortable and spacious, cleaning ten! The hot water. Excellent attention! All very cool. Common spaces have many activities (puzzles, books, board games). The price I agreed to the service. The truth that we loved. We would go back without hesitation.

Very good service from the staff. The place is cozy and has the amenities needed for a backpack traveler. It is better than what is advertised on the Internet. Although I was not more than two days I take a very good picture of this accommodation.

It is a very warm and familiar place… it makes you feel at home. There are several common spaces to relax, read and enjoy the rich mates. The garden is beautiful.

The check in process was a breeze, and the staff was super helpful. I loved how close the hostel is to the Main Street. Only things I think need improvement are the water pressure in the showers, and the hours we can use the kitchen (they are too few now).

My wife and I stayed at the Schilling Hostel during our vacation to Argentina. This is a wonderful "upscale" hostel with several different community rooms (always nice), beer for purchase (always nicer), and a breakfast perfect if you are planning on hiking on the Perito Moreno glacier. The staff was attentive, helping us to get laundry done while we were out, providing breakfast early (due to an early departure for the glacier), and assisting us in arranging a ferry to Uruguay latter in our vacation. I would definitely recommend staying at this hostel.

The hostel is in a great location and the staff are all very helpful and nice. The facilities are clean. The Wi-Fi is not the strongest in all the areas of the hostel but overall it is fine. The stay also includes a warm breakfast.

Nice, cozy place, good breakfast, well located at about five minute walk to the bus station and ten minutes to the city center.

Cozy home Good warm room and comfy beds. Nice and hot shower. Good Wi-Fi. Amazing kitchen. Very good breakfast (home bread, eggs, cereals, cake and more). Big lounge. Stayed there at the end of the season for 5 nights. We are a couple and rented a dorm (for the price) but were upgraded to a private room without asking. The owner is also very nice: She kept the hostel open until 6 on the last day of the season so we could way for our bus. Felt like a little home away from home!

Very good hostel, we stayed here before and after out trip to el Chalten. Staff very helpful, rooms super nice, can tell this used to be a b&b. The double rooms have everything you need and the shower is warm. Breakfast is perfect. Great value for the price! Games and puzzles to keep you busy during that Patagonia rain.

We had a great and heartwarming time at Schilling for 3nights and wish we could stay more days. The best thing of the hostel was the staffs. They were friendly and sincere enough whenever I ask anything. Antonella was the best and she is like an angel! Even though I didn't communicate with her that much, I could find that she always cares of the visiters and tries to help them as much as she can. She made me feel the hostel as my home and family. The room was spacious, equipped verywell, clean and made up everyday. The thing is that our first room (#7) was really hot, but the second room was little bit cold during sleeping. In the further room from the lobby, there was no Wi-Fi signal. The common area was good for chilling and taking a rest, since it is cosy and relaxed mood with the board games and puzzles. I really liked the common area. Kitchen and dining area was just perfect to cook and enjoy. Also the breakfast was the perfect too! We really loved this place and absolutely will stay again! Everything was perfect: the room clean, well located, very helpful and warm staff team, the other guests are amazing and great vibe in general. The breakfast could have more options, but it's good! Kudos to Gabriela at the front desk.

Kitchen is really small, only one can cook at a time. Rooms are OK but showers are not good. Wi-Fi keeps dropping. It is possible to find better places with better prices. This was the only place that charged us iva tax on the top of the booking price.

Very nice hostel with spacious rooms and entrance hall. We felt very welcome and the people were really friendly. The place has a lot of flair we would definitely come here again. Besides it's not far from the bus terminal and just 5 minutes from the city centre.

Excellent location, only one block from the bus terminal and one of the main avenue. From April 2013 new owners.
