Excellent stay we had pity as everyone will know the rise of a fourth which is the steepest the rest excellent.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Attentive to every detail. The agency for the excursions they recommend you is the best.

Bad hotel no where boutique. Breakfast service was good.

I was in September 2015. Excellent in every way. They do have a remise service to the center in case you don't want to walk, but I recommend the hikes. The reception is great. Good breakfast and great variety. The landscape speaks for itself.

Stayed in this beautiful little hotel in April of this year and for us there is no other place to stay but here. The staff were so friendly and informative especially Georgina and Gabi. These two ladies helped us with the perfect tours to do to the Glaciers. Gabi even went so far as to organise something special from the hotel on our engagement. Breakfast was refreshing and delicious and dinner menu was even better especially their lamb empanadas… YOU HAVE GOT TO HAVE THESE! Thank you so much for making our stay so memorable…

A bit far from town center (or centre).

By no means was this hotel "luxury" as advertised. The hotel had great curb appeal but once I got to my room, I was extremely disappointed. The room needed a lot of TLC as the wallpaper was torn in numerous places, carpet was worn and pieced together, and the bathroom sink leaked water onto the vanity (very messy, unkept look). The bathroom vanity and shelving were both chipped, peeling, and in very bad condition. The bed was extremely hard and not a great quality of sheets (felt like 200 thread count). There was also hair all over the shower wall which I had to clean. The hotel only provided one set of towels each day. When I asked for more towels, I was greeted with a surprised look by the front desk clerk like I was supposed to sue the same set of towels over the entire 3 day stay. I provided these same comments to the front desk clerk upon checkout and advised that Hotel La Cantera did not meet my definition of luxury hotel as advertised and should consider removing "luxury" from the description. This hotel was the most disappointing part about my trip to Argentina. I do not recommend this property.

We LOVED this place, one of my fave hotels of all time. The room was so welcoming and comfortable, with a breathtaking view of lake Argentina. The food prepared just for us by the chef Nico (I hope he still works there), was the best we had in Argentina.
The girls at the reception were the nicest people, I cannot remember their names but I would like to thank them once again for their availability and great advice.
I hope to come back soon! Miss those days at La Cantera <3

Very nice Boutique Hotel in Calafate. Spectacular view.

Come to el calafate and stay here is the perfect combination. Food in the restaurant for dinner is a wonderful combination of flavors and odors is incomparable, run by its own chef gives you the senaacion eat like Kings.
