The hosts and staff are very friendly and welcoming. The hostel is located in the alley, so you may have to ask around for directions. Breakfast is included, which was nice, and there is a shared kitchen on the first floor where you can cook up simple stuff (there is a small grocery store within 5-minute walking distance; not much in terms of fresh produce, but you can get snacks and processed food). You can get food/drinks on the rooftop bar/restaurant at reasonable prices.
The hostel also arranges tours/transportation, although our particular experience with their arranged transport wasn't great. We booked a round trip to Calandula Falls in a car with no A/C at 200K AOA. What we got indeed was a car with no A/C, but one that also seemed to be ready to break down any second. Our driver, John, would stop every 1~2 hours to fill up the engine's radiator with water, and we eventually had to switch cars on our way back because the engine was overheating too quickly. Although this isn't the hostel's fault per se, I just wish they'd taken the time and care to arrange and vet a proper vehicle.
