Sol Hotel

We stayed here for 3 nights. The location is great and even offers parking spaces. The rooms are badly soundproofed but apart from that we had a very good time. Prices are definitely reasonable. Staff was very friendly! Can recommend!

At first glance, this place feels more like charming guest rooms than a traditional hotel – and that’s exactly what makes it so special. Tucked away on the third floor of a residential building, with an entrance from behind the building through a parking area rather than the main street, it’s a cozy, family-run spot with a warm and personal touch. The rooms are huge, beautifully decorated, cool, and brand new. There’s free bottled water in the fridge, and the lovely host went above and beyond – recommending a fantastic local restaurant, keeping an eye on our car while we went on the Theth trek, storing our luggage, and even surprising us with a bottle of sparkling wine. Everything is spotlessly clean, the beds are wonderfully comfortable, and the shower is modern, spacious, and with plenty of hot water. While the property doesn’t offer views, the value for money here is truly outstanding. Pros: • Spacious, stylish, and comfortable rooms • Exceptionally kind host who goes the extra mile • Free water, sparkling wine gift, and luggage storage • Parking available • Comfortable beds and hot showers • Outstanding value for money Cons: • No elevator (third floor) • No view from the rooms • Doesn’t have the atmosphere of a traditional “hotel” – but offers something warmer and more personal instead In short: A warm, family-run gem with huge rooms, thoughtful hospitality, and unbeatable value.

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights.
The hotel is located in 3rd floor with no elevator, but as soon as we arrived the staff carried out all of our luggage upstairs.
The owner is incredibly nice and kind, they helped with everything we needed and more.
Only downside — you can hear the noise in the room from the main road. Other than that, we had a lovely stay!

We had a last minute situation where we needed another place to stay in Shkoder and The Sol Hotel was perfect, host is super friendly, the room was clean and stylish (we all slept so well) and the staff were so helpful in bringing down our suitcases. The location is near lots of restaurants and cafes and I would 100% stay here whenever I visit Shkoder again!

Located near the city center and the pedestrian area, 2 minutes walking from the "main bus station". The room are spacious, perfectly clean and really comfortable. A small breakfast with croissant and a hot beverage is offered by the bar facing the street, that has the same owner and it is the best place to ask for the hotel entrance that is not so visible on the backyard. The staff are extremely gently, helpful and flexible.

We had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The location is ideal – right in the city center, just 3 minutes from the Main Street and the bus stop with buses to Valbona or Theth (Hotel Rozafa stop).
Our room was very spacious, comfortable, modern and the AC worked perfectly. Having a kettle with tea and coffee was a nice touch, especially in the evening.
The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. They even let us park our car for 3 days while we hiked the Valbona pass, and they thoughtfully organized cutlery for us when we needed it.
I would highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in Szkodra – great service and an unbeatable location!

The absolute best hotel to stay in Shkoder! The family owning the hotel is very helpful and always friendly. They helped us arrange transport an even made sure to drop us off at out next hotel when we could not find a taxi. The rooms are very modern and clean. We moved our stay!

I have never seen such a nice hotel owner. The service is above expectations, the room is very large, very cozy, the location of the hotel is perfect! The hotel is highly recommended. No doubt I will return to it.

Very nice new rooms, especially the bathrooms are good. It’s not exactly a hotel, rather a handful of rooms in an apartment accessible from a back alley. The person at reception was very helpful, though most of the time not there.

I met a lot of friendly Albanian but this owner is the kindest person I’ve ever met! The hotel rooms are modern, clean and comfy. Perfect situated in the center of Shkoder. Don’t worry about your car, luggage, they will take care of everything, even when you are planning on going to Valbona/Teth. Our stay here was amazing! I would definitely book this again if I’ll come back to Skhoder. Thanks for everything!
