Hotel Mervin was an unexpected surprise in Krujë, a beautiful but compact city an hour from Tirana. The owner was very helpful and kind with his time and assistance. The rooms are very spacious and for a 4 star hotel extremely affordable. The shower was great too, with high pressure and unlimited heat (and this was in February when the weather was often in the minus). Our rooms were cleaned daily and the toiletries replenished too. In the afternoon or evenings you can sit in the hotel bar and enjoy the view of central Krujë while drinking delicious coffee (as fine as any you might have in Italy) or fresh juices or exotic teas, and all reasonably priced. Before dinner you can enjoy a raki (like grappa) or a Fernet Branca. I am trying to think hard for any negatives and I genuinely cannot think of any. The owner also gave us a lot of helpful advice about where the locals eat etc. I’m sure even the most discriminating guest would enjoy their stay here.
Beautiful hotel, excellent service, and great location, right at the heart of the city. We loved our stay at this hotel, and highly recommend it to anyone who visits the city of Krujë.
