Nestled in the picturesque Summerlin community on the western edge of Las Vegas, TPC Summerlin stands out as a premier golf destination with a rich history and world-class amenities. Originally designed by Bobby Weed and opened in 1991, the course was known for hosting the prestigious Shriners Hospitals for Children Open on the PGA Tour. Its meticulously maintained fairways and challenging greens weave through the natural desert landscape, offering both amateur and seasoned golfers an engaging experience framed by the scenic Red Rock Canyon backdrop.
When planning a visit to TPC Summerlin, it’s essential to consider the climate. The best months for golf are from late fall to early spring when temperatures range from mild to pleasantly warm, avoiding the scorching desert heat of summer. Early mornings or late afternoons are ideal tee times, providing cooler conditions and beautiful desert sunrises or sunsets. The course is suitable for all skill levels, but booking tee times well in advance is advised, especially during tournament season or weekends when locals and visitors alike flock to the fairways. The pro shop and experienced staff offer equipment rentals and lessons, making this accessible for first-timers as well.
