Heraklion Hotels near Koules

We stayed at Dimargio Luxury Hotel & Spa for one night, from August 10 to 11, 2025, and we would definitely choose this hotel again whenever we visit Heraklion.

Stayed here with my family and we loved this hotel.

We stayed at the Ethereal White Resort for five nights at the very end of our holidays in Crete, after already spending time at a seaside resort directly on the beach.

Excellent hotel hidden between old buildings and small streets. You drive up to a beautiful hotel with parking! We were always greeted with warm smiles and kindness.

Warm service. In the middle of Heraklion Centre, wonderful access to restaurants and shops in commercial streets. Room is small but it is a suite (2 rooms). The shower is in the middle of the bedroom.

Outstanding experience at Legacy Gastro Suites. Beautiful view of the port, comfortable accomodations, friendly staff and an overall warm environment.

Kipos Boutique Suites was one of the highlights of our trip.

This hotel represents a very fair deal for Heraklion center. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodative.

I found the olive green tones of the hotel interior space and my room, created a relaxing and soothing vibe.

Excellent clean modern accomodation with friendly helpful property managers Nicos and Stephano. They always offered coffee and cake in the reception area which was a nice touch! Great hospitality!

We had a wonderful stay at Enea City Suites as a family in the suite. The room was spacious, modern, and very clean, which made it perfect for traveling with children.

Cute hotel at a very convenient location. There’s a great sitting area with an open roof in the center of the hotel.

The room is clean and tastefully decorated, with a spacious shower.
Staff is very caring and helpful.
Breakfast has various sweet and salty options, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables.

A historic building, elegantly refurbished, eclectic to the tiniest detail; from luxurious linen to fragrant essential oils that you can smell all over the public areas of the hotel.

Megaron is a 5-star hotel with a perfect view of the Sea of Crete. We had a clean, comfortable, large room on the top floor. The front desk is attentive and courteous.

Tucked nearby main shopping and not too far from bus station. This is easily walkable from the port.

Kastro Hotel is a great value. The rooms are modern and super clean. The staff is helpful and friendly.

Location is perfect, 4 minute walk to the Archaeological Museum and 6 minute walk to the port. Service is excellent, Maria is very accommodating. The building itself is stunning.

Really impressed with this hotel — service and response time incredible. Staff very friendly, rooms clean and comfy, close to port and variety of restaurants. Staff very accommodating.

We stayed here only one night but found the apartment to be roomy, clean and comfortable. There were two bedrooms and two bathrooms, kitchen, living room and wrap around balcony.

City Lion was a great choice for our first trip to Crete.

The air bnb is good. No complaints. Looked great both inside and out.
However, the shower was on 3/4 walled. No door, just an open entry. So water went everywhere.

Great place, clean and made with taste. Amazing location, 5-10 minutes walk to any cignificant central location in Heraklion. Same time super quiet neighborhood.

The staff at reception was the best. Very welcoming. We will always be grateful for an early check in after arriving on the ferry.

Maria at the front desk was extremely helpful for all of our questions! We arrived in the evening, hungry and tired, she made a call right away to reserve us a table at a wonderful local restaurant!

Wow, great staff and amazing customer service… cannot speak highly enough of the people at the hotel. We booked the suite as it had nice view of the Harbour, we were landing late.

We visited Infinity city for two nights and the staff was incredible. They went the extra mile in all ways posible for our family. The standard of the room, spotless!

A wonderful stay! We stayed through Airbnb on 31 October. 2025. The apartment is very central yet surprisingly quiet, and the host was absolutely lovely.

Lovely place! The location is perfect, close to everything in Heraklion city! Wonderful stay at Rua Augusta! Rooms are spacious and clean! I really recommend.

Great location for exploring the City Center. Lato Boutique Hotel is a short 12 minute walk from the Port of Heraklion, and only a few minutes from the City Center.

Pros.
— bathroom was small, but shower was large and excellent water pressure.
— front staff was personable and helpful with dining suggestions.
— easy walk to main attractions.

The hotel is run by very kind people. We stayed just a couple of days to explore the city before our flight, but I would have loved to stay longer! The breakfast is simple but complete and very good.

I only ended up in Heraklion because of circumstances beyond my control BUT I could not have chosen a better hotel.

We stayed only one night but felt very comfortable. Very good mattresses, quiet and the windows can be blacked out.

Stayed there for three nights. Fantastic cute little hotel right in the very middle of Heraklion. Many nice, but yet not very touristic — bats and restaurants are around.

Hotel is well located within walking distance of most city attractions. Modern interior and rooms were well appointed. The hotel public areas and rooms were very clean.

Booked for a few days over the New Year. Room was small but very well appointed and very clean. Breakfast buffet was excellent and went back for dinner. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

It was a pity that we couldn’t stay longer. Although we didn’t meet the hosts in person, it was a perfect stay. The check in via key safe was super arranged, no problem at all.

What a hidden gem in a very old and crowded part of Heraklion. Our suite was newly renovated with a very cool vibe and very spacious.
