Very nice Lodge (Hotel). Clean, nice furnished. Good melas, nice pool and friendly staff. My recommendation for a Vic-Falls stay.

Only staying one night but overall it is very nice and clean. Updated furnishings and extra special staff.

We had the most incredible time at Ilala. I can’t find words good enough to describe it. EVERYTHING was amazing! No skimping on anything. By far the best Hotel I’ve stayed at. Thank you for making our trip one to remember! Well done Ilala, keep doing great things 👏🏻🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼

Great location, very relaxing, good food at the palms and way access to the falls. Staff is wonderful and offer a great level of service seen at top hotels. my only complaint was the multiple plastic water bottles given to guests daily. The world is drowning in plastic and I wonder if the lodge can do more to educate. The water and juice offered at Breakfast is safe and delicious. Perhaps ask guests to refill or offer them a pitcher every day instead of the plastic water bo…ttles. thank you! keep doing a wonderful job.

Absolutely loved our stay at Ilala. The rooms are comfortable with lovely views and you can see the mist from the falls. The Palm Restaurant breakfast buffet was wonderful all three days and we particularly enjoyed our three-course dinner on our last night, the best food we had in Vic falls. We particularly enjoyed the deconstructed Cheesecake. We would definitely come back.

Cool & quiet place to enjoy food and sleep too. Very close to Zambezi river. The breezing air from thundering Victoria falls made this place to be favourable for our valuable tourist.

We stayed unfortunately only one night. There were a pleasing atmosphere, gorgeous grounds roundabout, very nice staff, nice room and a very good restaurant. From our room we had a wonderful view towards sunrise through the water vapor of the Victoria Falls. It was amazing.

I didn't stay at the hotel but ate there a few times, best meals of my life. I highly recommend the restaurant. The food is really amazing.

What can I say? One word, excellent! This place was amazing. The staff are so wonderful, facilities superb and the food is delicious, although somewhat limited, imho. We spent a couple of nights there May 2018 and had a superb stay; would go back there any time.

Location was excellent, walking distance from most of the restaurants and local food. Disappointed with the room. It had a very strong stale smell of a wet carpet which made my sleep miserable. The rooms are facing vast green lush plains which was extremely nice. The Ac started leaking in the middle of the night, the only solution provided by the hotel was towels to dampen the noise. They didn't even bother to change our rooms. We were promised that this would have been fixed but it was not done the next day. Overall verdict, best location, poor rooms. Definitely overpriced for the quality which is delivered. Update: Upon Checking out, Martin who is the manager was extremely courteous and professional and profusely apologized for the mix up. They removed all our F&B charges from the bill which was an extremely kind gesture.

This a fabulous accommodation with a great vibe. The place is a green certified tourism establishment. Great food and bedding with a great view to the waterfalls.

Fantastic terrace and elegant African cuisine.

Beautiful hotel to stay when in Victoria Falls and a beautiful view of the spray coming from the Falls. We went here for a coffee and were very happy with the service and quality of the coffee served. Also enjoyed walking around the beautiful gardens and also viewing the stunning Thomas Baines paintings and prints in the reception area. Were very impressed.

Fantastic! Very close to Victoria Falls, a very charming place, a wonderful breakfast, in the middle of the small town of Victoria Falls and the staff very nice. A 10/10

Beautiful place in the Kalahari.

The lunch was delicious and priced reasonably. However, the environment and the art displayed reflects and suggests celebration of a dark past. It is not friendly to the African people.

Perfect location for the smoke of Thunders.

Great location, not even 1km from Victoria Falls and Zimbabwe-Zambia border (you get to walk in even 10 minutes). Spacious rooms with a nice bathroom, clean, manicured. They have a private patio with access to the beautiful garden full of animals. The common areas are very well cared for and nicely decorated. Also nice the pool area with bar. The restaurant offers a great breakfast in the morning with a very rich buffet. Dinner was not great for the price, overall still a good experience to stay.

I recently stayed here when I was visiting Victoria Falls and I must say they stay at this hotel was one of the highlights. Great facilities and the most friendly staff. We actually had an issue with an external company doing out transfers back to the Airport when we were leaving and the guys at Ilala were super helpful in getting things sorted for us. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay right near the Falls.

Beautiful lodge hotel the closest to the Victoria falls — Only 15 minutes away on foot. If you are flying a drone, your drone can reach the falls easily in minutes! The lodge ambience is very retro African and the rooms are very comfortable and spacious facing the hotel backyard which is part of the national park where you can occasionally find wild animals. The breakfast is great and lot of choices with a la carte items. The experience definitely worths the price!

What a wonderful hotel. We saw the distinctive thatched roof buildings from the air whilst on a Falls fly past just before touching down, in our charter Cessna. Ideally located nearest hotel to Falls less than a kilometre stroll away. Just a block from train, post office, and Vic Falls hotel. You can see the spray from our balcony. Original African style hotel with plush rooms, comfy large beds, crisp linen, air conditioning, pool with bar. I really loved the open plan plantation style foyer, waiting lounges for your buses, large breezy dining opening onto shady terraces and that stunning yellow Indian Acacia trees providing coloured shade. Great food choices and presentation teamed with immaculate well spoken service staff. Yes I am just a visitor from Sydney, as I seem to rave about this hotel. Best thing for me was the helpful activities staff. They confirmed the gondola, the Bushtracks train, our pick up by our safari operator the next day as well as early breakfast so we can be in our way by 0700. Ilala was not cheap, but it exceeded my expectations on location, value, quality of rooms, food and service, and attentive staff who made our stay exceptional.

Went there for dinner. Wonderfully delicious pork chops. Great place for intimate dinners. Service was excellent. Prices are 'touristy' but you get good value. Would definitely recommend.

Room was spacious and nicely appointed. Best part was the balcony overlooking the lawn where you can watch the wildlife (usually warthogs). The assistant manager Heather went above and beyond to assist us with a few issues. Minor issues: service in restaurant can be slow, and housekeeping left a dirty wet towel on our suitcase one day. Overall great stay.

Excellent service and facility. Nb. When entering Zimbabwe, ensure that your USD are newer than 1995. For some reason they do not take older notes anywhere in the country.

I was kind of uncertain to give the five stars, but since it was for an uncontrollable issue I had to be honest. So you have to get used to the helicopters flying around during the day and acept that there are stupid people who cannot enjoy the majesty of the Victoria Falls by walking in front of them. This lodge is a 4 star hotel but surely can go over. Rooms are very nice and big, the furniture of the common parts is just awesome! Staff is great and try the excursions that are very well organised. Prices are in US dollars and quite expensive. The in house restaurant has good quality with game meat but nothing really enthusiastic.

Right in the heart of Victoria Falls town you can find this quaint hotel named Ilala Lodge. Located a very short distance from the falls itself, this is the perfect hotel for guests looking great accommodation at an affordable price. I enjoyed my visit and especially my dinner at the Palm Restaurant, our waiter Antonio was an absolute delight and the food just as fantastic.

Very nice area, convenient location and tremendously professional staff. Only receiving four stars because facilities are under renovation, and the rooms have a moldly, damp smell to them.

We recently stayed 5 nights at Ilala Lodge and it was absolutely wonderful! In a beautiful setting with just a short 10 minute walk to the Falls!

The staff were very friendly & helpful and made us feel very welcome!
Our room was in the new block & had an amazing view of the vapour from the falls!
We thoroughly enjoyed a fun African night at The Boma with a buffet meal & entertainment, a beautiful romantic Sunset River Cruise on the Zambezi River and a Microlight flight over the Falls, all organised for us by staff at Ilala!
We also enjoyed very much, spending time just relaxing in the lodge with cocktails at the bar watching the wildlife in the grounds!
We celebrated our anniversary during our stay here & it is definitely an anniversary we will never forget!

Value for money the best hotel in the district. Very clean rooms and extremely friendly service. Great location and well kept park and garden.

Not the first, but the most beautiful house in the square. Very close to the falls and directly adjacent to the National park.
I can only recommend!
