We have this evening (9th March) left the Muong Thanh Hoi An hotel as its a disgusting dirty hotel. The management need to take responsibility for the mess the hotel is in and stop leaving it up to the hotel reception team deal with. We had 2 Executive Suites booked for 5 nights and could only tolerate the mess for 3 nights before it was too much. In general the hotel corridors stink of damp and rubbish bins that aren't emptied for days at a time so it smells like a dump, however the suites we stayed in were the worst.
We notified the hotel management the minute we walked into a "Non-Smoking" room that smelt like an ashtray and resembled one on the floor. (I have all the photos of the cigarette burns on furniture and the floor and will post them on Trip Advisor and will also be sending them onto booking dot com) After 3 days they couldn't even clean the room properly or replenish items such as tea/coffee supplies or even the toilet paper… and they obviously struggle with using a vacuum cleaner because there was food (fried rice) from previous guest's under the coffee table and squished into the carpet all throughout the room. To top it all off the "Sales Manager" who came to try and sort the mess out after 3 days couldn't decide if she was able to refund us anything or allow for us to be upgraded so we decided to leave the hotel. She did also ask me to cancel the booking / modify our booking online so "they wouldn't have to pay the total commission to booking dot com"… I have informed booking dot com of this and be assured, they aren't too impressed and will be taking further action against Muong Thanh Hoi An Hotel…
