Very well located and with an extraordinary staff Always Looking to help, we really liked the place. The only reason for a 4* is that it could ne slightly refreshed. Our room was very quiet as it did Not have a Windows for outside but a Windows on the corridors with constant light (with curtains).

High recommend, 3 star hotel but the quality is over expectation.

Cosy rooms and lovely staff.

This boat is not too expensive and suitable with a backpacker like me, and this trip was beyond my expectation.

We are a group of 4 Singapore guys and this is the second time we have travelled to Halong bay and our tours have been organized by APT travel and we chosed Halong Dragon Cruise because, its price was so reasonable but its quality of service was very excellent if compared to other same standard boats.

I used to travel with this Halong dragon cruise for 1 night on boat, the cabin is so decent size and clean, all meals are served in Vietnamese cuisince style and the all staffs those tried to do their best to deliver the best service and of course, I will remmend this boat to my friends colleagues.

The boat looked quite new and well maintained, the seafood is the main course on the Halong bay 2 day and 1 night on boat. Halong Dragon Cruise is a reliable partner to work with.

We arrived late at 11:30pm after a 6 hour delay at the airport to find we had been placed in a room that was exactly the size of the double bed that had somehow been squeezed in. Before we saw the room the receptionist assured us that they would upgrade us the next day & we could see why. In the morning I was woken by a loud noise which we originally thought was a stone thrown at the window. 5 minutes later we saw a large lump of ice dropping from the aircon unit onto the bed. Fortunately the staff were true to their word & moved us to a larger room for our second night. The stay included a hot breakfast order as well as a buffet. The staff were great & organised trips for us through a local operator.

A nice place to stay. Very friendly staff and warm welcome. The breakfast is tasty and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Our did not have window, but it did not ruin the total impression. The location is convenient, close to the main attractions but in a relatively quiet neibourhood.

Decent place, clean and quiet, which is much appreciated. Good breakfast included. In a great part of town from a culinary point of view. Beds are rather hard.

Great place to stay, very comfy beds and pillows. Friendly staff. Great local walking distance to night market and city center.

Good and inexpensive hotel.

Careful if you arrange a late pickup. The driver forgot to pick us up and one hour later and after many calls some other driver arrived, but the hotel clerks would not even accept to believe our word what just happened and blamed us for the driver's behaviour, they did not even offer a discount on the 17$ ride. Rooms are small and hot water pressure is low in the mornings. The breakfas buffet is really good though and as travel agency they're quite expensive but effective and WYSIWYG.

Clean and decent interior But so thin walls that I could hear all the next door people's talking and snoring sounds couldn't sleep well breakfast is great not many kinds but all taste good oh hot water didnt work from my first night.

Rising Drgon place was mazing hotel very nice saff and good hotel, food was good, and room very clean, could recommand for all every one come to vietnam stay in this hotel.

My girl friend liked the modern French decor here, and we both liked the breakfast buffet even more. The staff here are very courteous and professional. As other reviewers mentioned, the neighbourhood is interesting and fun. You can wander around at and enjoy a refreshing draft beer, variety of restaurants, shops. I purchased a propaganda poster and nice bottle of snake versus scorpion wine.

This is a good hotel. The service is correct and friendly, their English is not always correct, but it is doing very well. The rooms are clean. After a lot of hotel walls are paper.

Very disspointed hotel and it was far under from out expectation. We read alot of good reviews and nice pictures for this hotel but everything was totally different. Room was small, narrow and stained bath-room and alot of mold. Bed sheet and tower were uncleaned and terrible stelt. Staff were pushy in selling the tours and like cheating guests as much as they could. We never recommend this hotel for sure.

Poor hotel and bad service! The hotel needs to improve in several areas. The plumbing in the hotel is poor. When the guests in the above room (s) flush their toilet, there will be a loud noise and air/water will come out of the toilet in my room. One time this happened while I was sitting on the toilet and it was a terrible feeling having the toilet water splatter onto me. Also, it generally tolk 3 or more flushes to flush the toilet paper down. The hotel consist of 2 buildings joined on the 3rd floor. So, if your room is above the spa, then when you will need to change elevators on the 3rd floor. There is only one electrical outlet next to the bed and another in the bathroom. There is not an electrical outlet near the desk (to plug my computer). There are only a few TV stations in English. No CNBC or Bloomberg. The food in the restaurant was okay. However, the rice that was served in a mini hot pot was barely warm.

This hotel is not conveniently located near the fascinating old city centre of Hanoi. A 20 minutes walk to the Hoan Kiem Lake and will take you about 30 minutes to central of Old Quarter. The staff is very friendly but their English is in general limited and some like cheating guests by selling tour overpriced or changing money with low currency. We noticed that nearly all reviewers praise the clean, fine rooms. Unfortunately our experience was different. Notice that only a limited number of rooms have a window opening to the street; many rooms only have a small window giving access to a space behind the interior (! ) stairs. In total we spent 3 nights in the hotel in two different rooms. One of the rooms (301) was far from perfect, with dirt, including an ear swab of one of the previous guests, on the floor behind the bed, two twilight lamps (one without a plug altogether! ) that did not work, a tap in the bathroom that was only loosely attached to the sink and one of the doors of the closet that was broken and could not be opened. The second room was much better but also there one of the twilight lamps was defect. This room was also equipped with a safe, however this also did not function……. The breakfast area is small, with only 6 or 7 small tables, so occasionally you may have difficulty finding a place. Breakfast is modest but acceptable. When we would return to Hanoi we will not choose this hotel.

Very pleasant surprise! We expected something very average and found something very extraordinary. Very clean and comfy well designed boutique rooms, excellent breakfast was included each morning, super friendly staff who helped us every which way. Good scenic location too. I will be back.
