This hotel is nice. The decor is still Soviet in the common areas, but it is clean and well maintained. The rooms are nice and the restaurant has pretty good service and decent food. I was staying on the top floor and had great views SE towards the Dnieper. Some rooms would have a few towards the NE over the Rada.

If you are on assignment with the UN or Parliament, you cannot beat the location. The rooms are large, and the breakfast is adequate, but the reception (front desk, cash desk, etc) respond to request with a sigh and a sneer. If you are here for work, do it (free internet! ) but if you are a person that needs to feel welcome in a lodging, try other options.

Good location, quite, but cleaning not so well. Toilet stuffs if you stay long them not add more what is finish until you ask for. Bedsheets you need to request or took the bedsheets out to guide that need to change. But maid so friendly and nice. In the restaurant on 3rd floor. Yes have service mind 6 of 10. Food is good. Price is not cheap but not expensive. Fast action when some problem technical light in the room.

Old style communist hotel. Very classy, but personnel could use a crash course "how to be customer friendly". Breakfast service is hilarious.
