A lovely untouched gem of a pub. With a traditional serving hatch and a long tiled corridor to the loo!
Ale was great. Served by a landlord who originated from Wycombe!
Heartily recommended as a pre match venue for any away fans coming up (or down. Sunderland fans) to Bradford this season.

Very lovely place to stay. The building has very old character. The room was really clean, updated. I will come back in the future.

Incredible enviroment, a good place to take some pints. We didn't sleep there, we only visit on the pub.

Brilliant place — should be cherished for what is! A still gaslit fantastically atmospheric pub! Go visit while it still exists.

Arrived yesterdays on spec because of the snow. I was immediately found a room at a very reasonable price. The New Beehive is an amazing building in a once highly industrialised part of Bradford. Although the surrounding area is made up of Victorian stone buildings many of which are sadly neglected the pub is in good order without being modernised and spoiled. In some ways the local architecture adds to the experience. Therefore it exudes character and you really get a feeling of being in Northern England at the start of the 20th century. The bars retain most maybe all of their original features including magnificent polished wooden bars and gas lighting. The lighting adds massively to the atmosphere of this special place. There is a log/coal fire and good cask ales. The olde worlde charm extends to the gents toilets, which still have proper ceramic urinals which I suspect may be original. The bedroom I was in was very spacious, clean and very satisfactorily appointed. The bathroom was obviously all new. I would have preferred the option of a bath but this wasnt a big negative point. All in all a very enjoyable stay, the owner is genuinely interested in the history of this pub and without him it is unlikely it would have survived in such an original firm. He is friendly and cares that you have everything you need. This really is a one off experience that I would recommend to anyone with even a passing interest in social history.

If you like your places rough and ready this is the place for you. For the other 95% of the population don't bother.

A pub of great character. Probably one of a handful which still has gas-lighting. Usually a good selection of ales. Real fire for cold nights. Getting a bit tired in places but lovely all the same.

I must admit to having my doubts about the place, but gotta say what a brilliant old fashioned music venue. The place is old and a little run down, but this gives great character and sense of going back in time reminding me of the old royal standard. It’s got a rep, granted but the staff are ace and have a real love of the place and you could see how much the regulars loves it as well. It was a joy to provide sound there and has the potential of being one of the best open mic sessions anywhere… old fashioned beers as well… top marks x.

Visited the New Beehive Inn with a group of friends for drinks. The Inn is an old traditional boozer that is gas lit and has a range of cask beers on offer. Not all the pumps were on when we visited but there was a pale and dark selection which were fine for our needs. Service was welcoming and friendly. The Inn is a short walk from the city centre and close to the Bradford Brewery Tap Room so it's a good idea to visit both.

Lovely place, characteristic pub with nice atmosphere, real fire places, the staff very nice. Room was very clean, comfy bed and huge towels. Come back again.

This has to be the most beautiful bar in Bradford for those hoping for an authentic traditional real ale pub experience, with a real fire and wonderful well maintained original decor. But, alas, almost nobody seems to go there any more.

It's a lovely old fashioned, gas kit pub. Good beer, and a friendly atmosphere. A great place to meet up before the football for home and away real ale drinkers.

Needs refurbishment asap very dated and old fashioned. Lots of stairs to the room. Ideal location for ivory bar.

Bed room was set up well but the main thing I love about this place is the fact it keeps a great pub Heritage and not many of those around.

I've just spent last 4 days there very clean and comfortable great atmosphere manager and staff very helpful great selection of beers I couldn't fault the place cant wait to visit again soon.

We stayed overnight here. It's a must for vintage and real ale lovers everywhere. Original fittings, gas lighting and a thoroughly atmospheric experience all round. If you're looking for modern convenience this is not for you but if you're after a truly genuine turn of the century evening, it's a gem. Full marks to William and his team.

It was a very lovely and welcoming place. Needs clearer signs to direct the entrance.

To start off I would give this hotel zero stars if I could. This hotel is the worst I've ever been to. The room I was staying in was falling apart and in shambles. The bathroom was so dirty and covered in pubes from the last visitor. The bed sheets were dirty and didn't look like they'd been changed in a long time also they looked very old fashioned and dated also due to the bed being the dirty all through the night all I did was itch my self. All through the night you could just here doors being banged and people shouting at each other since its on tom of a pub. After my stay I saw so many better options that were better than this inn but in my opinion its more like a bin. I would never ever come back here in my whole life or reccomend it to any one.

This is a real pub. Solid wooden bar, good selection of real ales well kept and still has gas lights. Nothing fancy but a great place to drink and chat.

Not been here in 20+ years and it's still lovely!
Can I just ask for better non-alcoholic beers though, please! My bottle of Kaliber was very nice, but Beck's Blue isn't. Brew Dog do a good one and you can get good Czech and German ones. Cheers!

A lot of people could visit this place and say it's quite a dive but what they don't pick up on is this place has kept it's authenticity since it was first bill he still has gas lit lights (last pub in England to use them) it still has the old beer pumps and old trinkets everywhere for me this place really has a really strange atmosphere which I love sometimes you can get a couple of strange folk to add to the mixture but me personally I really like this place, it has a good choice of beer and some really good band nights too. Thumbs up from me.

Went there for a friends birthday, it was OK. Late licence downstairs and good ale.

Too cold in morning and rooms aren't up to my level of cleanliness too dusty and too many thimgs Brocken Drugs shouting out side and too many crack and heroin users in an out of building Just needs refurbisheding and cleaning as I wouldn't stay again unless carpit was changed cupboards was fixed And heating was on more its Christmas time and we have to get up in the cold not good.

Was made very welcome the land lord is a really nice and helpfull person.

Splendid place for a lone walker to spend a night. Most hospitable all round. I hope to come again one day.

Go to ford a coupla times a year have always stopped at the hilton or victoria but wont be again this establishment suited me fine for over half the price, and free parking recomended save yourself some loot.

10 pins on the bar but only 3 beers on? Feels like a pub in its last throws of business, shame because the building itself tho very tired is full of character. The beers be bought were kept well but the choice was very disappointing. Doubt we'll be returning.

Probably the best pub in the World! I was born and raised, and, have lived and worked in the North all my my life and The New Bee Hive is one of the best pubs I have been to — a perfect combination of great beers, a Juke Box (is it still there? ) with what apperred to be my CD collection loaded into it, amazing!, a pool table, a variety of smaller snug rooms, real fires (are they still there? ) and a night club in the cellar, awesome! It's up there with The Fighting Cock and The Shoulder of Mutton, Kirkgate but more.
