Really friendly staff with a can do attitude. Breakfast was superb. Love the the hotel and its quaintness. Will definitely stat there again.

Easy 20 minute walk into York city centre. Easy parking. Peaceful hotel. Comfy en suite bedroom. Swimming pool relaxing. Stream room effective and bijou. Lovely breakfast served with a smile and attention. A warm welcome and check out. Easy drive back to A64.

Enjoyed my 2 day stay at the Kilima, the staff was most helpful during my stay and as a Best Western member I got a room upgrade. Bonus! It was an easy 15 — 20 minute stroll into the city and the public transport back to the hotel runs frequently (bus numbers 1, 5 and 5A drop you off very close by).

Very basic. Only one staff member running the whole hotel. Good location but nothing to say car parking at the hotel was extra.

Very nice place to stay for a short break. Enjoyed the pool and the steam room. The guy (Forgot to get his name) who booked us in was fantastic. He was extremely helpful and very funny along with it :) Another plus is that just in reception is a table full of extra milk, coffee, tea etc and even razors… dont usually find this in most hotels. The meal we had in the restaurant was excellent as was the service. You couldn't go wrong with this place. Highly recommended and we will definitely be returning.

A 20 minute walk out of the city, which we knew about and were fine with. Excellent value, excellent staff, a clean pool. Will stay again.

Very friendly staff. Very clean comfortable. Only bad point but not a complainable one in my eyes floor boards very noisy so when youve been out late trying to keep quiet for other guests was hard. Food was good. Although didnt use it but has a pool aswell.

Upon arrival Chris welcomed us with friendliness and this a theme that prevailed throughout our stay with all the staff contributing to a pleasant environment, at whatever time of day. The hotel is part of Best Western chain but doesn't feel like its bigger business orientated cousins, the appearance is more of a home with plush carpets and leather seating in reception and a similar feel to our room (no 21, above the pool, at the rear) with comfort as the main guide, it could be said that the hotel is tired, I would argue that this makes it feel more real as a home from home. The breakfast provided was prepared well and served promptly by a friendly chef & crew, the evening restaurant menu is limited but what was offered was excellent in different options (fish & meat) and sufficient after a long day in York. The bar area is also small but this makes it intimate rather than being sat in a big noisy room. Overall Chris & his staff are very good and deserve praise for making our stay so good.

Nice quiet place to stay. Rooms are clean and tidy, and the room rates are average. It's a 15-20 minute walk to the centre.

I have just enjoyed a wonderful and extremely pleasant stay at the Best Western Kilima Hotel. All staff were friendly, helpful, polite and professional. The food was very nice, and well presented. I recommend this Hotel as an ideal location from which to explore the wonderful City of York.

Cosy little hotel. Family room was well equipped, parents had a four poster bed, children a completely separate room. Single bathroom with shower tub. Indoor pool was nice, breakfast was outstanding. About 20-30 minute walk to the old city.

Had a great stay very comfortable and clean. Friendly and helpful staff would definitely recommend anyone to Stay there. Can't wait to visit again.

Has a nice little pool, open until late 9pm). Breakfast included, very competent full English (even the mushrooms were nice! ). It's located close to the city centre, so makes a great base for exploring York.

Typical style Best Western hotel. Friendly service and clean rooms. Approx 10 min walk from the station and near to plenty of good restaurants.

Lovely hotel with great furnishings. Very Victorian (four posters bed) friendly staff and a great menu. Amazing room service (coffee/tea and bedding replaced daily) Only drawback I can think was incredibly squeeky floorboards.

Stayed here as my daughter had university visit A real gem — lovely hotel Spotlessly clean and the beds were so comfortable. Made to feel really welcome, breakfast was excellent. Chris you are a star — will definitely be returning.

Fab hotel, friendly staff.

The staff is incredible and probably the best staff of any business I have come across in the UK. Rooms are big, pool is great, breakfast is good but dinner failed to impress twice and for the price was not a good value. However I would stay again and just eat dinner elsewhere because we were that impressed with everything.
