A wonderful warm welcoming place to stay… the rooms are top notch, the food was delicious, but the biggest praise goes to all the staff who really made our stay amazing… five stars.

Breakfast turned out to be a bit of a disappointment… ”full English” for two =£25.90, one egg, one rasher, one sausage, one hash brown, a little pot of beans, half a warmed up tomato and half a slice of black pudding. I’m not saying that it was over-priced, but it was worth about half of that!

Clean rooms, efficient service. Restaurant good. Safe parking. Close to main A1 so good to stopover if heading north or south.

My husband and I stopped here last Thurs night prior to going to a dog show at leeds. The staff were great, there was a bowl of water and dog biscuits in the entrance ready for dogs. Our room was just right, ground floor, handy for my husband as he is disabled. We had a lovely meal in the lounge on that evening, our dog was allowed there also, as was breakfast the following morning. I would fully recommend this hotel, very friendly staff, fantastic food and excellent accommodation. We will definitely go back.

Nice clean rooms large comfy beds, the food wasn't bad either. The staff were friendly and helpful. Only stayed on night on our way home, will stay again if we're in the area.

Hotel was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was extremely clean and was in outstanding condition — everything seems brand new. Food in the restaurant was also excellent with great service and good food. I highly recommend this hotel.

Fantastic hotel, very pleasant and friendly staff. Very clean and modern looking. Rooms are lovely and bathrooms are impressive with heated floors and mirrors. Only down point the windows are sealed shut in room, so a problem if its warm you need a fan. Would recommend :-)

Attended a wedding here. Great day. Good staff. Food and drink was good. All in all a great atmosphere and good location.

Comfortable with good heating and plumbing. The food is pretty good as well. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. One star down because of slight mix up left them thinking I had not arrived when I had, and room wasn't attended to after first night. Don't let that put you off though.

The team at the hotel are always absolutely lovely, very welcoming and friendly. The rooms clean and quiet and the check in/out process pain free. I've knocked one star off though as the price for the continental breakfast is incredibly high compared to the cooked breakfast and also as the mattress on the bed is poor (squidgy and unevenly sprung) and left me with a slightly sore back.

Had Sunday lunch and my guests and I had a wonderful experience. Great food at reasonable prices. One can choose between 1 and 3 courses. The portions are just right for me could be on the small side for most. This is how it should be as you can have the full 3 courses without undoing your trousers! Great service too.

Normally we love this as a place to eat on a Sunday evening but our most recent visit was not very impressive. Food and service was not good. Took too long to be shown to our table and no menus offered while we were waiting. No one offered to carry our drinks through. Pate was tasteless. No dauphinoise potatoes or lamb left. Pork was thinly cut and had been stood under heat for too long and had dried and curled up. Vegetables were cold. No applesauce or horse radish offered. Service in general not that good. Frustrating as this used to be one of our favourite places.

It's a friendly and clean hotel. The rooms are a good size for the area quiet. This is a 'reps' hotel and it does it well. Out of town, very close to the main roads, beds, breakfast and a car park… nothing else needed. It's nt really a family hotel. The food is good and the staff are very helpful. If you aren't sure whether to book here or the hotel 300 yards down the road… book here. The other one is terrible.

Used to go to this hotel frequently and I have to say that I've never seen a hotel go downhill so fast. Since new management arrived followed by a new manager it seems that corners are being cut with little to none of staff that we loved are there any more. The hotel has definitely lost it's personal touch and it feels like the customer is not their priority. I was amazed to see the happy hour has now disappeared too… another cost saving exercise? Pull your socks up Best Western or you'll lose all your regulars.

Stayed here a few times and never had any problems. Car park is large enough so no issues no matter what time you arrive. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and well appointed. Bathrooms generally modern and clean. The restaurant is nice enough with plenty of choice on the menu. Prices are reasonable. Breakfast is a choice of continental buffet or cooked to order. All in all a good choice for the area, would recommend.

The room was spacious with plenty of storage. Loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom and huge bath I could stretch out in and soak. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, but the food was underwhelming, it was a bit expensive for basic dishes. We stayed a week and only benefited from one happy hour because it was cancelled after the new restaurant manager deemed it unnecessary. So we never went back to the bar again. The wait staff at the bar we're great, friendly, efficient and made you feel welcome. Daily housekeeping was efficient but the beds mattresses had seen better days and offered little or no support. My back was sore from those beds. The hotel is in quite a remote location, so using the local taxis was quite expensive.

We had a lovely christmas dinner at the best western it was well cooked and presented staff were very polite and friendly we really enjoyed it. We will certainly be going there again.

Very friendly staff first time staying here and will definitely be booking again room was lovely and clean and had everything we needed.

Easy to find and park. The room we're a little dated but clean and cozy. The beds are very comfy. Breakfast ain't that large but the staff are great.

Only went to visit friends who were staying here but I was very impressed by what Best Western had done to this old hotel. Very smart and chic! Good parking right near entrance, nice little bar area with plenty of seating and you can get a decent steak up to 10pm!

At least equivalent to a good Premier Inn. The electric car charging facility swung it for me. Very quiet room despite facing on a main road due to triple glazing.

Been coming here for lunch for years and always got a good meal and lovely staff. Came last week and there was a distinct staff shortage. They were still lovely though. The disappointment was the food, which was bland. Pasta Arabiata needs a bit of garlic and herbs. The Sticky Toffee Pudd was lovely though.

Service was good. Staff were friendly. Food was nice. Nothing to complain about.

Stayed in two rooms while on a visit to Leeds University. Comfortable room and very friendly staff. Evening meal and breakfast were fine.

Great little place… very accesable for main areas around Leeds and wakefield. Rooms decent sized and even baths. Staff very friendly and food to a good standard.

If your vehicle is valuable do not stay here, they have signs up saying 24 hour CCTV but they DO NOT WORK, our vehicle has just been stolen from where the cameras were supposed to be monitoring and the staff just said " sorry about that "

Comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Restaurant is a tad pricey but cheaper than a drink driving ban. Nicely located for shopping at Castleford, Wakefield and Leeds and historic York and the East Coast are also an easy drive. We are regular visitors and it is highly recommended.

Love this place it serves good food at a reasonable price and the staff are very attentive and polite at all times has recently changed hands but that is all that has changed.

Brilliant venue… excellent car parking… and fantastic friendly staff…

We have stayed here now several times. The team at Milford are simply brilliant. Fast, efficient and very friendly even when we have arrived at ungodly hours. The rooms are always immaculate, comfy and quiet. Our dogs are always welcomed and love the fuss and there are lots of interesting off road walks very close by. Room service is reasonable and very tasty. The only criticism is the ludicrous cost of a continental breakfast, it's almost the same as the the reasonable priced full English. As vegetarians it's just too much so we pack our own.

Great hotel with warm, efficient friendly staff. Rooms appointed to a particularly high standard, liked the underfloor heating in the bathroom and the very effective double glazing glazing keeping it very quiet. Great business stopover. I recommend the pies for dinner in the bar.

Great place to stay. The rooms were immaculate. Not many places I stay have heated floors in the bathroom.

We would highly recommend the Milford Hotel! We stayed at the Milford hotel with our two children and the management and staff could not have been more helpful. The reception desk staff were great, the room fantastic and although we didn't have dinner there, the breakfast was superb. I really like BW as the owners seem to care so much more about their hotel and their guests. Highly Recommended.

Recently attended a training day, the day was fantastic the staff made us very welcome, service was fantastic, I would highly recommend the hotel for business and leisure, food was great also, there is nothing at all to complain about facilities clean and tidy, overall a fantastic day thanks to all the staff that made ot run with ease — see you again soon.

Hired a conference room last Monday. Super room, really great food for my team, all services on time and delivered with a smile on the dot. Brick-Tie Ltd will be back. My trainer and guests loved their rooms too — 10/10.

From the first calls to book the room to the last drink in the bar at quarter to midnight, the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is immaculately clean, and the rooms and bathrooms are of in incredibly high standard. Breakfast was NOT a buffet (hooray) and was very generous.
