An amazing place to stay. Enjoyed every minute of it. Our second stay and we will definitely be back next year! Great fOr all the family. Fantastic views! Worth every penny!

Our first time here and all I can say is it is absolutely brilliant great view from the window and not very far from the local town.

Without a shadow of a doubt we will be back! By far the best B&B I've stayed in and excellent value for money. The family room was immaculate, the staff friendly and helpful, breakfast choice was incredible and the overall attention to detail was fantastic.

Total relaxation accommodation first class loved every second of our stay so sad to leave.

The location on its own is stunning. Pair this with clean rooms and very friendly, trusting staff make this a great place to stay. We had our 18 month old with us and he loved the animals and open space to play. Would highly recommend the experience especially given the modest price. Big thumbs up.

So much to recommend. Beautiful peaceful setting, lovely friendly owners, delicious and plentiful food. Lots of pleasant walks (accompanied at times with the resident dogs), plus all the animals. Best holiday.

The views are wonderful! Me and my partner brought our 9 year old daughter here and we love it. So peaceful. We were lucky enough to see the lambs playing with their mum too.
The breakfasts were great and my vegetarian partner was really we catered for too. Really good choice and presented in a lovely way.
I can't wait to come back.

Stayed one night, rooms clean and very comfortable. Meals absolutely lovely. Staff very friendly nothing is too much trouble. Very scenic surroundings, lovely walks. Look out of window to cows, sheep sit by pond to be greeted by a flock of geese who come to say hi
Hidden gem this place, defo don’t think would have found it without satnav but would certainly come back again.

The staff are always friendly and helpful and one is always made so welcome. It is so relaxing here and watching the different animals is lovely. It is why we came back here to celebrate our Golden Wedding anniversary.

The views are stunning but rooms could do with updating. However very clean and towels changed daily. The Family where very friendly and helpful. Great having all the animals about, but obviously because of this be prepared for flies. Food was nice, the cakes especially where lovely. You definitely need a vehicle as the farm is a good distance from Whitby and Scarborough. However perfect for hikers, some great walks.

Great place to stay with your family and dog. Lovely homely rooms and a fantastic outside area with play ground and large area to walk the dog. The breakfast served was fantastic. Would definitely recommend and will be going back next time we want to visit either Whitby or Scarborough.

This was our second stay here in the self catering cottages. The accommodation is first class, and the location is perfect. Our 5 year old grandson loved the friendly farm dogs, especially Lollie the black Labrador! Would recommend this place, and we will definitely be back!

We love the Grainary so much and have been going there for 6 years now. Its amazing for families with young children as they love the freedom of playing outside and running around with Lolly, Bessie and Blu the farm dogs. Nothing is too much trouble for Mark and Lynda and the Grainary Team. Fabulous food too. It's location provides an ideal base for trips out to Scarborough, Whitby and all of the North Yorkshire coast and moors. Can't wait to book again for next year.

Felt like home away from home. Coming from a small town Assagay, outside of Durban, South Africa. We also have a dog who loves playing with kids and loves the water. Waking to the cows and sheep were extra special. So loved your highland cows. Managed to refresh at the farm before completing our tour of the UK.

Stayed for two nights with my mum and kids and I couldn’t have asked for a better stay.
Beautiful setting, really good food and welcoming staff.
The animals were an added bonus. My kids fell in love with Lollie ‘Doggo’ the dog and the lop eared rabbit they named Bobby (after my daughter rabbit toy)
Also a great range of plants available to buy. I managed to squeeze 3 into our already packed C1!
I’m already starting to plan a return trip and have passed on details to my friends.

Lovely place really enjoyed our stay. Nice food and friendly staff. The kids loved been able to run about and play in the park and playing with the farm dog.

We stayed with our Grandaughter for two nights who is nearly two, we so wished it was a longer stay. One of the most wonderful places we have stayed. Can’t fault it in any way. We are about to arrange another stay with her Mummy and Daddy just to experience it all over again. We have brought our 4 grandchildren to the Grainary for several years now, currently aged 13, 12, 11 and 9. When we asked them if they were getting too old for holidays with grandparents they pleaded to go back to the Grainary this year — 'it's the best place ever' 'we want to see the dogs' ' that walk down to the pool is special'! We relented and have booked a cottage again in the summer holidays. Our comment whilst sitting in the sun looking at the wonderful views and seeing our grandchildren playing together was ' it doesn't get any better than this' It really doesn't!

Wonderful friendly welcome on arrival. Fantastic location and views. Must scrumptious food ever! Room clean and comfortable with everything you need.

Had lovely sandwiches for lunch with great Crispy chunky chips. Impressed with reasonably priced home grown plants for sale, bought a nice tub of tulips for the garden they look amazing.

Our visit to the Grainary on 3/4/2018 was a really lovely family experience we stayed for 3 nights my husband and I and our grandson were made to feel like family and the room was very comfortable and had everything you needed. The food was outstanding and we had a great choice the homemade soups are to die for and nothing is too much trouble for all the lovely owner or staff we are planning another visit next year which will be our 3rd year The Grainary is an absolute gem and we would recommend a visit especially if you have children (while we were there we saw a lamb being born it was lovely to see) thanks to the staff for another unforgettable experience on a lovely working farm ❤

We had a great stay at the Grainary farm, food was perfect with all our meals. Our two younger boys loved the stay. There is lots to do, the play barn is a good idea, also lots of farm animals to go and see. It is set in a beautiful valley with a good view of surrounding areas all of which can be seen whilst eating in the conservatory. The room was a good size family room, it had an adjoining room with bunk beds and a single for the children, and the whole place was very clean. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Grainary farm. We will definitely be back. Thanks the Cunningham's.

If you like it quiet this is the place to come. It is on a working farm on the edge of the North york moors, beautiful sceanery, good food, clean rooms, Friendly and helpful staff, wish I had booked another couple of days.

I can't recommend the Grainary enough. We had such a warm welcome on arrival and the Simpson family really made you feel at home, nothing was too much trouble. The views and food are to die for. The room we stayed in was very cosy and well appointed; as a wheelchair user I found the room well thought out and the wet room was fabulous.
We loved meeting all the animals especially the lovely farm dogs Lollie, Bess and Blue. They loved a good fuss and were always bringing us sticks and balls to throw.
The Grainary really is the gem of Harwood Dale.

Lovely settings and friendly farm animals. Shame they don't do a traditional Sunday lunch anymore. Just a basic menu now.

Quite possibly the most beautiful place I’ve stayed. The surroundings are gorgeous, nice clean room with an amazing view, wonderful staff, food to die for and very happy and well looked after animals.
I will most definitely be returning!

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent 2 night stay at Grainary Farm in Harwood Dale, Nr. Scarborough. Very comfortable accommodation. Tearooms/Restaurant has an extensive menu/wine list and the food was excellent, we are sure to return in the future.

A really nice place to stay as a family. Amazing scenery and peaceful walks accompanied by the farm dogs. Great for adults and the kids.

I stayed at the Grainary Farm Stay and Tea Rooms late September midway through a road trip. It was absolutely delightful and restful! My room was very spacious, the farm was beautiful, and breakfast was delicious. I'm fully intending on going back.

Menu was impressive for a 'Tea Room'. Food was fantastic — best home cooked chips I've had in a long time. Price of bottles of beer wasn't as bad I expected. Lovely scenery and the staff were very friendly. Oh and the farm dog 'Lolly' was a lovely silly thing!

Had afternoon tea which was over priced couldnt chose which sandwich you want the ham sandwich was greasy and loads of butter on the cream to go with the scone was spuirty cream and had fresh strawberry in bottom which I dont eat wont be going back.

Just returned from a two night break and wished we were staying for much longer! Everything (including the weather! ) was perfect, we can't wait to come back for a longer stay next time!

The Grainary was a fantastic place, friendly people and friendly animals and the scenery Stunning Only fault was the automatic light and fan on toilet but this is a personal thing. Would definitely revisit this place it would be fantastic with grand children.

We've visited The Grainary twice over the last year and really enjoyed both stays. We found the accommodation comfortable, the facilities excellent and the feel of the entire place really relaxing and personable. The staff were wonderfully friendly and attentive, and the place itself is a really interesting location to stay with it being a working farm as well as a tea room and restaurant. They have an excellent selection of reasonably priced home cooked dishes, including vegetarian options and locally sourced produce to choose from, as well as local cheeses and real ales which I'm a big fan of! The farm is surrounded by beautiful scenery, as well as the farm's livestock which offers an especially unique experience. It's close to the coast, as well as the Yorkshire moors and a number of great places to visit, so is ideal for those looking for a base for further travel, or just somewhere to relax and unwind. Hoping to return again soon!

Lovely place to visit, absolutely beautiful surroundings, lots of animals, a nice play area and great cake. Will definitely return.
