Stayed here for 2 nights while attending an event at the Conference Centre which is no more than 5 minutes walk away. Given I wouldn't be in the room that much I'd booked a budget single room which was perfect for my needs. Bed was comfortable, room was clean and generously supplied with drinks etc. The full cooked breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of fruit and cereal to start with and some very tasty marmalades. Parking was no problem. Highly recommended, and I hope to be back.

A lovely warm friendly atmosphere, wonderful hospitality, clean, comfort and cosy and lovely food. My friends surprised me to an overnight stay here for my 50th birthday, the owners went above and beyond expectations to make it special with added little touches. I would definitely recommend staying here. We will be returning for a longer stay.

This is one of the loveliest hotels I have ever stayed at. The hosts were wonderful and accommodating. I arrived early and needed somewhere to change and they couldn't have been more helpful. My room was out of this world with a super comfy bed and the most gorgeous decor. I stay in Harrogate regularly and now this will definitely be my first choice.

Excellent bed and breakfast. Free on site parking, free Wi-Fi just 5 minute stroll into Town. Sleep quality is excellent as the guest house is located along a quiet leafy avenue. The beds are so comfy. The honesty bar is an extra bonus. Breakfast is fabulous.

Wonderful Guesthouse with superb rooms. The reception was absolutely amazing, with tea and coffee provided on arrival along with a map and tour of the town. Rooms are of a good size, extremely well equipped and tastefully decorated. Location is excellent. Car parking is free either in the adjoining car park or on street. All in all one of the best Guesthouses in Harrogate.

A group of ladies stayed at Arden House for a special birthday weekend. On arrival we were given tea and cake. Jan and Mark were absolutely fantastic, they booked our evening meals at the restaurants in town, organised taxi's when required. Although you could walk into town easily. The breakfasts were delicious, the choices unbelievable, mostly home made. The rooms were clean and very tastefully furnished. There was also an honesty bar for a night cap. Thank you for making my birthday treat one to remember.

A fantastic place to stay, very warm welcome, very helpful & friendly owners, excellent breakfast. Highly recommend if you’re thinking of visiting Harrogate for a few days.

This was my second visit to the Arden which always gives their guests a very warm welcome and offered me a drink and warm freshly baked cake. I was given a map of Harrogate with places that I wanted to visit then marked on it. My room was spotless, with a tea, coffee and various hot chocolate choices in abundance plus small individual packs of biscuits. The breakfast is a feast with a choice of homemade jams and freshly made yogurt dish's with any cereal dish you can think of. There is also a wonderful fresh fruit selection too. Tea and coffee are in abundance along with toast made from a variety of different breads. The cooked breakfasts are beautifully prepared with a choice of full English to poached eggs with salmon and everything inbetween. I would say about 12 choices from the menu. Do try the omelettes. Nothing is too much for this delightful couple. I have already booked my next stay. It is near enough to everything going off in the centre of Harrogate but far enough away to be quiet. Highly recommended. The photo is just of the jams, cereal and fresh fruits.

Lovely hotel. The owners couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had all the facilities you'd expect. Great breakfast selection. We went for cooked on both days we stayed and it was faultless! Would certainly recommend.

Fabulous 1 night stay. Very friendly staff. Room immaculate. Breakfast was delicious with loads of choice. 10 minute walk into centre. Will definitely return.

Excellent food & service, would certainly choose this hotel if I returned. I loved it that much I took home the door key.

Great hosts. Lovely food. Lovely house close to town. Was welcomed with tea and cake which was very nice, however, minor details in room let it down slightly. Very small ensuite so the sink was in the Room, wouldn't be a problem, but only window covering is a blind. The room was at the top of the house at the front, so very warm, to have the window open, you need the blind open, so have no privacy. The skirting boards and lampshade were very dirty, but everything seemed clean. Despite these minor points, I would recommend this place, the good points are more than the bad.

I have just spent a very comfortable evening at the hotel. The owners are a delightful couple who can't do enough. The breakfast was simply delicious and the buffet top class. I will hopefully return very soon.

Great food, great owners. Room was clean and comfortable. Able to walk to restaurants a d shopping area.

Lovely welcome with tea and cake on arrival. Jan and Mark are a lovely couple and the breakfast and service were excellent. Sadly our room appeared to be a single room with a double bed and a very small ensuite and shower. Can't comment about other rooms. Bar is not a bar.

Beautiful house close to the centre and a lovely quiet place. Rooms warm and comfortable. Owners are very welcoming and friendly. Glad I chose the right place.

Fantastic guest house service fantastic the owners were very helpful breakfast good choice willing to take my wife's special dietary requirements. You have to go for the experience.

We had a wonderfully warm welcome from Jan, our host! Not only did she make us a very welcome and much needed pot of coffee but also sat down with a local map, and took time to point out several recommended places to eat as well as other local attractions. The room is large and light, the bed is comfortable and the breakfast delicious! The house is nicely placed for getting into the town centre easily. Highly recommend!

We stayed at Arden House for two nights Saturday and Sunday it was brilliant Mark and Jan were lovely food was great it was spotlessly clean and they couldn't have been better hosts definatly will be returning central for everything and the home made marmalade is gorgeous.

The hosts could not have been more welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was great. Within easy walking distance of town centre. The bedroom was cozy and comfortable but the bathroom was the size of a cupboard therefore very cramped.

Excellent B&B with really nice people who are always willing to help. From my experience I recommend you avoid the hotels & stay at the Arden.

Nice and cosy place, clean, good breakfast, friendly owners. My single room was tiny, but had everything I needed.

Stayed for one night on August 16 2017, from the moment we parked in car park we were welcomed by Jan the proprietor, amazing! Very friendly very hospitable couldn't do enough Thank you Jan you were awesome.
Arden House is wonderful room was very clean bed huge and comfortable. There was even hot chocolate to drink in the room which for me was fantastic.
Breakfast (what a choice) from cereal, cooked breakfast, smoked salmon and scrabbled egg to mushrooms etc on toast, homemade jams and marmalade (plum and peach jam yummy) (orange marmalade with whiskey) very spoilt for choice!
Anyone visiting Harrogate should definitely book Arden House great place!

Friendly, very accommodating host's, very good for town centre.

Tourist Board 4 star award B&B. Was made to feel very welcome when walking through the door. Immediately offered complimentary tea and home made cake. Owner then talked through places to eat and visit which were run by family businesses. Room was small but comfortable with good quality toiletries. Breakfast had every thing from cereals through to full English or Egg Benedict. Only downside whilst we were there was that you had to book a minimum of 2 nights stay (which actually worked for us this time). 5 mins from the conference center and 10 from centre of town.

Lovely guest house. Super friendly owners (but not in an "in your face" way). Comfortable room. Great food. Very conveniently located.

Great atmosphere as soon as you walk in. Friendly welcome. Our room was spotless with all facilities we needed. Breakfast was to die for.

Great location near Harrogate centre. Good breakfast and very comfy rooms.

Warm welcome and free off street parking. Room was a good size for a traditional victorian terrace. Good quality toiletries and it was a nice touch to have an honesty bar with a good selection for a sniffter on an evening. All in all good value for money.

Stayed in the two bed apartment, very clean, comfortable and all the mod cons, will definitely be booking here again.
