Lovely food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Well worth the visit!

Highly recommend the Grantham Arms. We stayed in a suite which was excellent value for money and were equally impressed with the quality of the food served here. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely outstanding service, decent food, quick when they knew we were on a schedule and lovely mock tail.

This place is amazing 👏. Food are really good, staff are really frendly and look after us really well. I was really surprised about games they got for kids which make time even more special. I will say that this place is really organise and kids friendly.

Food is absolutely gorgeous, had the sharing fish platter and it was amazing. Beer was spot on. Dessert was equally stunning. Sam looked after us really well! Would definitely return, thank you for a lovely afternoon.

How to describe my experience? fantastic fantastic fantastic! beautiful consistent decor, beautiful resturant and the bedroom was spacious and well designed The service from every member of staff was expectional, very warming and friendly only downside… I couldn't stay longer!

After an impromptu night shift I couldn't be bothered to cook a roast. Had a lovely pork dinner and sticky toffee pud for supper later as even the dog is stuffed. Thanks Simon and team, can't wait to have one washed down with a few pints in person!

Just had the most amazing takeaway for our Saturday night 'date night '
Grantham Chicken and Sea Bream followed by rhubarb crumble… it was absolutely delicious, fantastic flavours, vegetables perfectly cooked, still really warm when it was delivered and great sized portions. We may not be able to eat at the pub but this is certainly the next best thing… thank you for making our night even in these difficult times x.

My parents have just come back from a weekend here. They had a lovely time, the staff were friendly and helpful, there was a nice bar, the beds were so comfortable and the food was great! they would recommend this hotel!

Just had a meal from the Grantham Arms takeaway service. Great meal! Kids enjoyed their meals too! Sticky toffee pudding was lush too! I would definitely recommend you have a meal from here!

Lovely, friendly, welcoming and very helpful staff. Lovely room with tea and coffee making facilities, room was very clean. They have an honesty box full of goodies, late night snacks if you're feeling peckish, all you have to do is put in a contribution, what a great idea! Very homely place with a chilled and relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely come back again.

Welcoming and extremely friendly, polite and professional staff. Room is spotless and welcoming, tea and coffee facilities and even a curly wurly in the box! The pub/bar area offers a homely environment and very spacious. Food served till 9.30pm, had pizza and sweet potato fries which were really tasty and well presented. Cute snack honesty box on the landing in case you have midnight munches — great touch! Will definitely come back.

Love this place. Stayed here many times, room, food and staff are fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble, the food is incredible, especially the salmon. Cant wait to return next month.

Fantastic tasty food, great service and atmosphere. We were invited back by Simon after not having a great experience on a previous visit. He could of dismissed our complaint however he wanted to resolve it and show us how great the Grantham’s food could be and it didn’t disappoint. Had a really lovely evening, the steaks were cooked exactly right and the chef even made a mushroom sauce that was a big hit. Can definitely say we’d return again.

Stopped there on a recent trip away. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Couldnt do enough for you. Lovely place. Clean and tidy and the food… fantastic!

What a night! Great food, great music, amazingly friendly and efficient bar staff and the rooms are cosy and the beds are amazingly comfortable… I'll absolutely be going back frequently.

Just fabulous! Fantastic atmosphere, the most lovely staff, nothing is too much trouble. We added creamed cabbage and cauliflower cheese to our sunday dinner order. Wow just wow! Well worth ever single penny… best sunday dinner in a long time.

Great place to stay lovely friendly helpful staff. Good food and wine. Quirky discoveries. A mug of coffee or Yorkshire tea and a complimentary curly wurly in Yr room. What more would you want. Loved it. Pretty garden area too.

Fantastic, great food and drink. Nice clean, tidy bar area. B and B rooms absolutely immaculate, well presented, spacious, and well equipped. Breakfast was delicious, just the right amount, and not one of those horrible cheap bacon and sausage jobs. This wad proper high quality gear. As much toast as you like, cereal, juice, fruit. Fantastic, staff amazing, very warm, welcoming and helpful. The manager (? ), forgot his name, but he is Bulgarian is a very pleasant chap, most helpful, wonderfully polite.

Fantastic meal served by super nice staff. Even the dog liked the service.

Had a very nice gourmet fish finger sandwich here. They dealt very well with 22 cyclists turning up all at once.

Just returned home from a 3 night stay at Grantham Arms, Biroughbridge 23.06.18. Couldn't have wished for more. Good room, good food, very clean, pleasant staff. Will return. It is very well situated as a base to visit places all around Yorkshire. Thank you for looking after us so well.

Food was very nice, dining room interesting but the rock and roll music was way too loud and the bar area noise overtook the dining room. The food didn't match the dining experience.

Visiting family that have just moved to the area. Food was great and service fast… lovely little find.

Bank holiday Sunday, 4 adults and 4 kids. Yes the place was busy but not busy enough to have to wait over an hour and 20 minutes for food. The waitress brought out one garlic bread, then 20 mins later the rest of the food. They forgot my 4 year old sons food and I had to ask several times where it was. The food wasn't the best either. We ended up getting a pizza on our way back to our hotel.

Visit regularly and the staff never disappoint. Great place… make the effort to visit…

Found this place by accident really. Very impressed by the warm welcome and helpful service. Hadn't booked a table but it wasn't a problem. The menu looked good and when the food arrived it was better than expected. I had a steak and ale pie which was amazing, my good lady had fish and chips and the fish was huge and perfect. Great beers and a good wine list. Priced very reasonably too. We were so impressed we dined there again the following evening.

Nice place shame about the food. Fairly stylish modern pub with a good range of lager and beers complemented by an extensive collection of unusual gins Chalkboard specials complemented the a la carte menu however we found the portions to be small, especially the starters. The staff were attentive and welcoming as was a comfortable bedroom we stayed in for the night. In fact the only disappointing element was the food that was served up I doubt we will stay there again as there are many other Inns and Taverns to explore.

Hummm I'm a lorry driver just finish a 15 hour shift wanted dinner few pints then bed… Well I had the chicken wings starter very nice so I thought I'm in for a treat here… main was steak an ale pie… well it look more like veg pie. Really not sure who put veg in a steak pie an then gives veg on plate also… got to say coming from Scotland this is by far the worst pie I have every had given me. At £13. Surgest go chip shop pub suggestion change supplier u getting ripped off…

Lovely atmosphere inside with tiny lights, lots of wood. Lots of bar tables, with tv's showing fairly trashy tv. Location was easily accessible though being on a roundabout I can imagine it could get quite noisy during the day. Probably the nicest pub in the area from what I've seen of the other pubs. Fairly expensive pints (£3.50-4)

Just called in for a quick pint. Can't really comment on anything apart from saying the lager was fine.

Food was on the good side of OK, choice was limited and some dishes had the hint of being kept under the warming lamp a little too long. Staff were willing and happy but one or two carried a little too much insouciance. It's really a pub evolving into a restaurant and that middle ground can be difficult to conquer but so far so good. It was busy and popular and on that sunny day the tables out front were scattered with the great and good of Boroughbridge.

Excellent food especially the sea bass and crumble. Well kept theakstons best and love over gold.

Visited for my evening meal after being told by a local lady that the best steak for 20 miles could be found here and wow was she right, the rib eye was perfect In every way. It was seasoned to perfection, Juicy, succulent, tender and just fell apart in the mouth, quite possibly the best I have ever eaten, it has a friendly welcoming atmosphere clean and well decorated, the staff are very friendly, I would love to find fault but I simply cant is there a rating higher than 5 stars?

Cannot recommend this highy enough! From the location to the food! We stayed here for the weekend while ripon races were on. We stayed in the apartment and it was home from home. The food was amazing, just make sure your hungry before you go as the portions are huge. The staff couldn't do enough for us. I'll definitely be back if I'm down that way again!

We stayed here for two nights this week and had a truly fantastic time. The hotel is beautifully decorated to a high standard and spotlessly clean. The food is outstanding and plentiful. The staff are so helpful and friendly and they work very hard to keep up the great standard. The room we had was lovely and the bed was so comfortable. The bottles of water beside the bed were a lovely added touch and much appreciated. We will definitely be having another visit there in the very near future. Thank you to all members of staff who made our visit so special.

Our overnight stay was excellent and the food and service very good. the standard of comfort in the bedroom was second to none as well as being real value for money.

We had lunch with our family and were really impressed with the service here. Staff were polite and attentive which is great when you have young children. Great food and great choice. We ate outside which was lovely in the sunshine. The inside presentation impressed also. Would recommend and would go again when next visiting our family.

Great local pub with attentive staff. Stopped by on a Friday slightly before dinner service but the staff still accommodated. Great presentation on the food, a very unique and original taste too. The prices are a bit higher but the quality seemed worth it.

Had a fantastic Sunday dinner family meal. Food was delicious with great choice off the set menu. Very reasonable prices with good service. Highly recommended.

Visited on a mid week evening. Only about 5 mins off the A1 which is great when you don't fancy the standard service station food. Cosy feeling pub with several different eating areas to choose from. Food was really good, had main, dessert and a glass of wine for under £20. Lots of food options. They are also happy to tailor your meal if you've got allergies etc. Will definitely be visiting again.

Booked a room last minute after a long walk and we received a free Sunday Lunch which was a welcome surprise. Staff and service are fantastic, will be back again.
