The Fleece Inn Hotel

Just had a short stay at the fleece inn, &what a lovely place, accomodation was nice, the staff at the pub were very helpfull & pleasent, bridlington about 20 mins drive away. Food at the fleece was spot on, would definetly return. 10 out of 10.

Lovely country pub serving amazing food and very reasonable prices. Service was excellent. Very welcoming pub, I highly recommend. We will be back.

What can I say. Made to feel so welcome today, 30/08/20. The bar man was very welcoming and the waitress girl very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for her. Beautiful food… well done guys x.

My husband and I have been on holiday in the area and ate at the pub three times. Not at any point did the staff, food or atmosphere disappoint. We felt safe and well distanced from others.

The new normal is a little weird but the staff were on top of their game. The food was, as always, excellent and we felt totally safe. Plenty of outdoor seating too.

Fab Easter Sunday lunch today! Collected on time, friendly staff, following government best practices on hygiene on collection. Very fair price and the food was so yummy! The Easter special salted caramel tart put me in an instant food coma.

Best pint of cider I've ever had the same quality everytime clearly know there job friendly welcoming pub with great food atmosphere and most of all cider.

Amazing friendly local pub, young waitress so polite, friendly and excellent at her job really lightened up the pub. We came for Saturday night dinner and it was that good we booked for Sunday lunch and again the food was incredible so fresh all home cooked. Staff are all nice and nothing was to much hassle as my husband had a nut allergy they went above and beyond that we both appreciated, looking forward to travelling back up to the pub again in the near future.

This is a fantastic pub in a grate setting the locals were very friendly a grate atmosphere I Also stopped for 2 nights the room was grate 2 well worth the money wuld stop agen thanks.

Visited the Fleece Inn numerous times during our recent 2 week stay at Bishop Wilton staying at the Wolds Edge Lodges. Cannot recommend the Fleece Inn highly enough. It's a beautiful village pub, with fantastic friendly staff, amazing food (just about worked our way through the whole menu between the 4 of us). Nothing is too much trouble. The Sunday lunches are amazing and the homemade desserts are to die for. Will definitely be back (hopefully sooner rather than later). Thank you Fleece Inn!

Good selection of beers, the food was fantastic and the staff pleasant and helpful, the pub is set in a lovely Village, there is a lovely beer garden at the rear and ample parking. Well worth a visit and we will definitely be back.

First time in for a long time due to work commitments. Pleased to say The Fleece is back to top level… everything is right… food was very good, service excellent and we were made very welcome.

Very dark pub not very welcoming me and my wife went in and because the people behind the bar had not seen us before they looked at us strangely, they did not know we have been going to Bishop Wilton for the last four years. They have been running the pub for about two years, they don't remember but me and my wife went to the pub when they first took over and we had gone for a couple of drinks that evening & wanted to know if the pub still served food as it had in the past as we had booked the same table for the whole week when we were there and the previous landlord ran the pub and the food was excellent the atmosphere was brilliant and the place was full of life and laughter. I can honestly say since the other people have been running the pub it is dark grim and has zero atmosphere my wife wanted a Bailey's the lady behind the bar said they did not have any left we found out the reason she couldn't find it was because it was a cheap version of Bailey's and when she did find it she said that there wasn't enough for a drink so we ended up with two disoronos, which were served in two large glasses with ice ok not the right glasses we might have been able to overlook that but the glasses were dirty we had to find a clean place to put our lips which we just about managed. If you want somewhere decent to drink go to Pocklington, because if you go there you will regret it trust me.

Went for Sunday lunch and what a gorgeous Meal. Not shy on meat, all homemade veg, york puds, and even parsnips. No aunt Bessie’s to be seen! Defo best Sunday roast around (bar my mums) Louise and team well done! Callum brill behind bar and I think her name was Caroline maybe? Waiting on. A brrrrrrrilliant night at the Fleece on 23rd March. I organised a staff party (about 13 of of us) and Louise could not be more helpful. The food could not be faulted on taste or amount (loads). Also particular diets were catered for no problem. The staff could not do enough for us. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

We were staying at wolds edge just down the road and we were recommended the fleece inn it is a lovely traditional pub with an open fire which was brilliant after our walk to warm up. The staff are so friendly we were made to feel very welcome and we had the 3 course Sunday which was delicious and very reasonably priced we have already booked to go back to wolds edge next year and will definitely be visiting the fleece inn.

We were in the area and called in to see if they had availability to serve four hungry people — Sunday lunch choice of three meats — we had French onion soup to start (excellent) followed by our choice of meat, roast potatoes and parsnips, fresh veg, proper Yorkshire puddings and lots of gravy (absolutely delicious) — too full for deserts. Staff were very attentive — excellent service alround pitty its not on our door step BUT we will go back (soon I hope).

Popped in last night for tea & absolutely enjoyed it! I've never been disappointed when I've eaten here. The food is home cooked sourcing local produce with some cracking ales/lagers on tap to wash it down, with Bira Moretti being my favourite. The staff are as friendly as you'll find along with the locals, I'd highly recommend this pub to anyone. 5
