Great pub, food is fantastic and a great atmosphere, would highly recommend!

We visited for the first time for a few years yesterday and were very disappointed. Our starters (Bruschetta) were very poor. The bread which should be crisply toasted/grilled was soggy. We both opted for the Goan curry (one with chicken and one with prawns), but again were disappointed as it was tasteless. Other members of our party were disappointed with their roast beef main courses. We did tell the staff what we thought at the time, but have to assume that this was not escalated to management, as nobody more senior came to speak to us. Serving staff were perfectly friendly, but need training on how to deal with complaints.

We stayed last week and was a wonderful experience. Fantastic food 🥘 excellent rooms — amazing bed 🛌 — friendly staff — delicious breakfast — great beer — country pub garden with lots of seating and friendly staff. All covid safe and really clean rooms and facilities — I’m coming back!

Brilliant pub and staff, great food too!

Fantastic Pub. Recommended by friends. We arrived on horses. We sat out the front, however, we’re invited into the garden at the rear. Both staff and customers were incredibly warm and welcoming, even with horses in hand. Great British Pub.

Fantastic roast dinner as always will definitely be back.

We used the outside area last night, perfect setting. The food and the service was outstanding. A big shout out to our waiter who was working his second shift, he was polite, attentive and huge credit to your business. We will definitely be back.

Great outdoor wigwam with fire and Christmas. Cycled there and had lunch. Fab experience and great to catch up with friends.

Lovely menu, with vegan options, friendly staff and very organised with social distancing, sanitisation etc definitely recommend this fab pub.

Last night I celebrated my birthday there with 19 of my best friends… and I have to say it was amazing. Food is fantastic but getting 20 starters and mains out quickly and together is no mean feat. They even made me a birthday cake! good live music, a very warm welcome and brilliant atmosphere made it a night to remember.

Nice pub, grate atmosphere, food was good but could of been a bit wormer.

Good food but service was slow and we were given a table by the toilets with a very squeaky door. Could be better.

Went here tonight for my husbands birthday — was really excited on arrival as we were really welcomed by the young waiter, who immediately came over with menus, took a drinks order and wished my husband a happy birthday. Unfortunately we didn’t see that waiter again! The next waiter who took our food order could not have been more miserable — didn’t even raise a smile, no customer service presence or friendliness. Once we finished our meals (at 9.40pm), we were still waiting at 10.10pm for the plates to be cleared or any interaction from any staff — I’d understand if the place was busy, but the place was completely empty apart from 2 gentlemen at the bar. What made it worse was that we were sat next to the kitchen door, and 3 members of staff walked in/out of those doors countless times and just looked at us and carried on with their tasks — essentially clearing up for the evening because they want to go home. Tables still uncleared when we left, and no offer of desert or coffees. We understand that kitchens have to close, but they didn’t even let us know or offer anything to us before that happened. It was clear they just wanted us to leave — so we did! And we won’t be coming back. The only saving grace was that the food was lovely — so if you don’t mind crap customer service but good food, this will be perfect!

A very relaxing warm welcome. Excellent food. Comfortable cabins at the back to stay in.

Interesting starters like fried cauliflower but regular main dishes to be had. Quite high prices for average food. Tuna steak was brilliant on the salad; burger was juicy and thick. Burata starter was very good.

Real gem. There's some extraordinary taxidermy here! We both had the pulled pork which was yummy but I'm not sure I like truffle oil on my fries…

Had a superb pre show meal at the T Lord. Hadn't eaten here for a while but they never fail to please. Would thoroughly recommend this warm and friendly pub with it's great food and efficient and smiley service.

Really recommend this lovely pub for a delicious Sunday lunch! The salmon fishcake and salad was delicious, the staff were friendly and really helpful and the garden was a lovely setting. We will be back!

Really warm welcoming country pub! My husband and I turned up here on a busy Bank Holiday Monday, without booking! The staff were very accommodating! The food was delicious and the service was outstanding! Would definitely recommend!

Last night 4 of us had dinner at the Thomas Lord. It was busy, but not overcrowded. We decided to mix up the starters a bit, we all thought the starters were delicious, especially the Korean fried cauliflower. For mains 3 of us had different steaks and one had the burger.
Once again we all thought the mains were delicious and we all thoroughly enjoyed our food. Desert time, for me the Chocolate Brownie was a chocolate lovers paradise, thoroughly enjoyed it.
The Affogato was a bit different than expected. Service was very good, atmosphere was very good, food was great. Only minus, no Bacardi and no Pinot. Very good evening, would highly recommend a visit to the Thomas Lord.

Four of us arrived, with a dog, on a busy Bank Holiday. A lovely, friendly lady greeted us and led us to a table. The bar had a great atmosphere, a live band and lots of singing customers.
The food was fabulous. The menu is quite limited, so I chose fish and chips: they were the nicest I have ever had in my 53 years. The ale was good too. Go there, it's great.

The food is outstanding and the garden area is very spacious it's lovely to have a meal and have a chat with friends family and love ones and not feel over crowded and best of all you can take your dog too.
