Nice quiet and clean place.

Brilliant place! My mum and I stayed in a twin room which was lovely and spacious. Beds were comfortable, bathroom lovely, hotel is really beautiful, lovely old building. Great grounds, lovely to sit outside with a coffee after a delicious breakfast! We were disappointed the jacuzzi was off but enjoyed the swimming pool and sauna. The staff were excellent! Customer service is clearly a priority in this hotel. We would definitely stay again.

Not clean enough, really basic service with the excuse of covid, terrible food.

One of the worst hotel I have ever stayed, stained carpet, ripped upholstery, dirty washroom, burnt table tops… I stayed before in many holidays inn all over uk and europe but never experienced like this… the only thing good was helpful reception staff…

Always a warm welcome. Staff and service are fabulous. The rooms are ways clean and tidy and I love relaxing after a long journey in the lounge.

Overall lovely decor, hotel and friendly staff.
Room could have a little more attention to detail. Such as we had a sugar end left in the sink plug and a small tea stain on the tea tray and no bin liner in the bathroom but otherwise was spot on and couldn't fault it. All staff were lovely apart from one we didnt get her name but she spoke to my husband quite rude. Therefore this person might benefit from some more "stay real" training.

Easy to access, great room, clean, tidy. Breakfast choices reasonable, a bit of everything and staff nice and helpful. I will definitely recommend it.

Reception staff were very good. But as soon as I stepped into the restaurant /bar it went from bad to worse!

Best of a job lot around, here. Comfortable rooms, nice enough food, bar OK, Wi-Fi works, reasonable price. I am not going to gush as I think hotels in the area are a rip off, but this one is OK.

We had are wedding reception here on the 5th of July, they made are day extremely special, the staff are very friendly and welcoming, the food was top class and are guests as well as us had a fantastic day, I would recommend there wedding service to anyone.

I received a parking notice from them for £60 if paid in 14 days otherwise it’s £100 because I had paid for my 1hr 30 min parking but had entered 1 letter wrong of my number plate. When I contacted them I just got a generic email saying you need to put it into writing to the Parking Eye car park Solutions! Won’t be returning.

I was here on a first aid training day. Everything we needed was made available to us and I was given an ice pack when I needed one. Thank you. The chairs could do with being a bit softer for people who are sitting on them for the best part of 7 hours on and off because I ended up with sciatica after lunch and had to sit on the floor. Softer chairs or cushions made available for those who might need them would be useful in situations like this please.

Booked in for three days with family. Although they market for family holidays, their kids eat free policy doesn't mention that the menu they have is not offered, instead kids can have whatever they want from what amounts to an all day breakfast buffet, which put mine off, so ended up eating out for the rest of the stay. There is no outside area at all for kids, the indoors pool very heavily chlorinated and unsupervised, the kids play area is the corner of a (heavy traffic) corridor area with a small play kitchen and a couple of charity shop toys. At dinner the service is poor. Too many kids without supervision (the staff). Got two chargrilled steaks (see picture of recently deceased steak) when we ordered medium rare. Bar staffed by kids with no idea on how to serve drinks. Asked for a tequila, got it in a glass. When asked about lemon, he chucked a slice into the glass and shrugged! He then spent 5 minutes, in front of us, belittling a 16-17yo girl behind the bar, telling her what to do, joined by another young boy who told her he would help her if she "was nice to him". Low level macho, bit like McDonald's on a Friday night. In the entire time, only two members of staff showed any friendly behaviour, the breakfast chef and a middle aged man on duty in the evenings in the restaurant area (though clearly with no authority), even on leaving, we weren't asked if we were satisfied. No member of management evident throughout.

Clean and comfortable. Food is good in both bar and restaurant (added bonus, they accept Gourmet Card). Spa looks good, didn't try it tho.

1st night… Pool a little merky, but top marks to lad in charge of pool. All staff knowledgeable and kind. Tidy rooms, nicely kitted out. Fingers crossed for breakfast.

Nice place, modern and comfortable. Nice pool and health centre with good facilities. Breakfast was OK with good service. No lift. Evening resturant had a bland menu and very slow service, even with only three tables occupied and four waiters fiddling on their computer terminal thing.

It's a normal place. Exactly three and a half stars pulls. There is a free pool and sauna. Daily housekeeping, fresh towels. All rooms have a big TV, coffee tea, soap, shampoo, robe with slippers. Fast dry-cleaning services for a fee. Disappointed hardly will be, for a stop for the evening with an overnight stay. It's not good for business. A simple hotel for a couple of nights. Sometimes for one night rent edis the number of newlyweds. I don't understand them, though. For business, love and party I would have taken another hotel.

Rooms need a update… however! … Amazing service amazing customer focus. 5 stars and worth every penny. Well done.

I have stayed here several times. Each time I have complained, each time I have been promised a better stay the next time. Completely let down.

Food, service, amenities, and rooms were excellent. It was easy to get to town via bus. Only complaint is all the lights in the bathroom are behind you when standing at the sink, so it was tough to shave well, but I managed. Every single staff person was excellent.

Total muck up as friend pre ordered December tried to cancel two but wouldn't let her? So nothing was done. Then asked to have all four rooms together as paid for four when only needing two? That was mucked up… so four of us had a room each… heating not working right… heated towel rail? A gimmick? Bathroom steamed up. No ventilation… food when ordered in the bar, cold, so left most of it as didn't have time to send back as going out early. Later ordered fish at. At ti be charged extra £2 pounds. Which I wouldn't of paid. Then friends food wrong item came, coujdnfvreitder correct as kitchen closed. So it needs nature adults there to do the job properly. They didn't even know How to do a refund? Member of our party showed them as used to work there… will I return? Maybe but won't be recommending the hotel unless something changes …

It's small but that is Holiday Inn in most places. However. The front reception staff were very nice, accommodated and their breakfast was above average as well. Convenient location with Tesco not too far away.

You know what to expect from a Holiday Inn and this is a good place to stay. Clean, staff very friendly, approachable and helpful, rooms and food didn't disappoint. Bar drinks expensive but it is Surrey so no big surprise.

Only went to the conference suite but it was fine. The toilets were clean and the tea/coffee facilities were ample. Presentation facilities were good and had no technical difficulties like you get with some places. Parking system is pretty good but finding a space took a little while. Nice and close to the A3 for easy access. Only spoke to one member of staff but she was very pleasant and helpful. Could maybe have had another staff member in the front desk as quite a queue had formed.

We stopped for one night on s chessington break and found our stay faultless… staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was spotless, and the food was pretty much endless for the kids … definitely recommend it!

Has to be one of the best Holiday Inn's I have stayed in. The room was very spacious and bucked the trend in as much as there was a bath and a shower in our Executive room, so many rooms now are 'upgraded' and have had the bath removed : — (. The member of staff who checked us in was warm, welcoming and friendly, it felt like she was welcoming us into her home. The restaurant staff were attentive and the food was delicious. A relaxing stay, we will be returning in the near future of that I'm certain.

Very friendly and accommodating. They bent over backwards to give us a memorable experience. We have an annual family tea party here to celebrate numerous Spring Birthdays. It is a great midway venue for all the families to meet — coming from north and south! Every time it is different but the overall observation is that no matter what hiccups or miscommunications occur. The Holiday Inn irons out all the problems speedily and with great courtesy.

A large free car park if you put in your reg at reception. A 12 minute walk to the university including bar and food if you want it. The hotel rooms are clean and warm with air conditioning. The gym is good. The bar area accept walk ins for food but we did have ro ask 3 times to order. The salads are great and staff friendly. Free Wi-Fi at the hotel works well.

Nice practical place typical for a weekend stay. The breakfast was nice however the beds were too hard and the rooms were not soundproof at all! There was stomping above us and disturbing noises next door. Overall nice hotel, good location.

Great place just off the A3. Used as the hotel for a nearby conference. Staff are friendly and warm. Cooked breakfast in the morning is great but cold options are available. Even had pancakes for shrove Tuesday! Gym and pool are nice and always staffed but have restricted opening times.

Went here for a bite in the restaurant after swimming. The drinks are very expensive for what they are, and low quality. You would pay at least £1 less in any other cafe for a considerably better drink. Service was also slow for the price slow, but it was a Sunday afternoon, so they may have been short staffed or something. We also had to ask for a knife and fork, which isn't really acceptable for the price. Food was nice though, so had to add a star for that.

Services by reception and manager were awesome. They handled an unfortunate incident exceptionally well. However, can't say the same about the service at the restaurant. Holiday Inn brand in Asia is of 4 star quality and amenities. It was a surprise that these are not reflected in the Holiday Inn Guildford.

Bed was a little too firm, leading to a somewhat uncomfortable night's sleep. Window Shutters were off their rails, but l just about managed to get them shut. However, breakfast was very good.

Had a meeting here. Good services, clean and quiet. Easy to get to. Great drinks and snacks.

I attended the Holiday Inn for one of their shared party nights for the 3rd time and as usual it was brilliant fun. They sort table plans, table decorations, DJ, disco and food. The food is good for a large scale event and on the evening is coordinated brilliantly. I dealt with a lady called Sophie Taylor who was always helpful when trying to organise 80 people, (and we were only 1 of the parties that evening) she was extremely patient and accommodating. I also stayed over and felt the room was basic but clean with a comfy bed and they catered for 3 of us staying in one room. I will be looking to organise our next year's Christmas party there again.

Excellent venue. The parking situation is a bit tricky for a short visit. Costs and logistics make it not the obvious choice for a quick catch-up.

Stayed hear while my family and I went to legoland. Wished I had not bothered. They got the room wrong then had to send some one to get the room ready as it was not this took 3 attempts. Came for breakfast which was booked and was told yes it was booked but no room so we were shoehorned into a corner in the reception area. The lady on reception was very rude. Only one good thing about our stay there the man behind the bar. He was amazing great with the kids made them feel less stressed with the situation gave them milk and cookies was an absolute star. If every one there was like him the place would be a gold mine. You need more staff like him. Sadly I did not get his name.

Was visiting the Holiday Inn for a conference. Plenty of car parking spaces (but don't forget to register your car registration number at the reception desk to avoid either being fined or having to pay for a ticket) and also a reasonably well lit car park too. Handy location just off the A3. Perfect facilities. Clean with plenty of choice of refreshments. My visit didn't involve any overnight stay, so I can't comment on bedrooms or breakfasts.

Close to the university, the city of Guilford and a supermarket, very well located. The big downside was the cleanliness, fairly regular the room, just so I would think the back to stay here.

Ample parking, supermarket across the road, swimming pool and spa facilities make it worth while. The building itself is really nice although is a bit of a maze but it's nice and quiet being situated where it is. Bonus is the rooms have a fridge, which you'll need as the food menu is really expensive for the amount of food you get.

Nice conference venue. A selection of break out rooms with useful IT. Staff helpful and IT literate. Great buffet and treats on the standard delegate day rate. Parking free but need guests to log registration number. Easy access to A3 and M25.

One of the best Hotel we have stayed. The staff are accomodating and very polite. It was a short stay but the whole family enjoyed it, the swimming pool. Spa, sauna and steam room is a bonus. I would highly recommend this Hotel.

Really lovely staff and a great package with dinner and breakfast available when I booked directly. Free parking if an overnight guest loads of rooms on ground floor. Small restaurant but lots of seating in bar.

Fur coat and no knickers kind of place! Looks absolutely stunning, however my bed was sipping soaking wet from duvet to matters and whilst housekeeping changed the bed, I would have liked some recompense, what did I get… points to put towards another stay.

Charging a high class price for an average hotel. The rooms need refurbishment and the staff need to pay more attention! Asking for salad without dressing can't be unusual but a salad smothered in dressing was delivered, the bath wasn't working, the hand basin taps were so loose they could have come off at any moment, the heating system in my room was faulty but a heater took over 2hours (plus a prompt) to arrive… these are all little problems but enough of them add up to make a less than acceptable stay.

Attended a medical conference at the Holiday Inn. The venue was just lovely and had been decorated appropriately. The food and refreshments provides by the Holiday Inn were fantastic! Better than any food I've had at a conference provided by a hotel before. Staff were always around and attentive, fixing any problems theat arose (including a hissing microphone). An excellent day.

Had a lovely overnight stay on their breakfast/dinner deal. All staff without exception helpful and friendly. Food very good. Used the pool and jacuzzi to relax in, was perfect. Definately stay here again.

Honestly had a fantastic stay here. We stayed one night and from start to finish it was a great experience. Speedy and easy check in, the staff even let us check in early without prior warning which was super helpful but it could not have been less of a problem for them! Bar staff were quick and efficient and more than happy to open up for us and make us food when we return late from a wedding! Staff at the leisure club were also super helpful. Rooms were spacious, comfy and clean — with one of the best showers we've ever tried! Super powerful. Breakfast was of a good standard. Honestly the staff are a credit to this hotel, don't let any of them change or leave!

I went for lunch there, and waitress didnot want to serve me, I beckoned her, but ignored me again, I sat there for 30 min no one comes to me, walked n asked for supervisor,,, n asked me "what do you want? thats being rude, seriously,,, by then I was annoyed n couldnt hold it any more, I walked away,,, in short. Racist.

I traveled with three friends last weekend on a coach trip from Manchester. The staff were smart, friendly and helpful. The rooms were adjoined and were spottless with service daily, and lovely plush towels. There was tea and coffee facilities and a fridge for our own use or to be filled by the hotel. Breakfast and dinner were buffet style with an ample and excellent choice of attractive, tasty food. The pool, sauna and steam room were just the job after a long day in Central London. As a whole I would say this hotel is as good as anywhere I have stayed in the world, highly recommended.

Great meeting room facilities and easy place to get to if you are in the M25/Croydon area and are looking for somewhere to hold a business meeting.

Internet for extra money. Free pool and sauna.
