Superb as ever in this classic haunt.

Went for Lunch today, lovely meal and food piping hot, just how I like it. Friendly staff. Log burner making it a cosy atmosphere. The Lamb Inn is such a lovely old pub well worth a visit.

Stayed night so could have a meal and drinks without the worry. Excellent food, very friendly and helpful staff where nothing is too much trouble.

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Room comfortable, spotless and warm. Sadly no breakfast available, great shame.

Nice cosy pub, been around sine 1180, worth a visit just for a drink in a snug corner taking in the history, friendly staff.

One of the oldest pubs in England dated 1180, full of history, lovely interior, friendly staff, cosy atmosphere, I had the best burger ever for today lunch. Definitely will back, already booked a table for Sunday roast 🥰

Fantastic Vegan Meal at the Lamb yesterday! … I’ve recently entered the world of veganism & I usually find that there is a large choice for vegetarians but was pleasantly surprised to see several vegan options that were all equally appetising!
It’s such a fabulous pub, with a great atmosphere & helpful staff… now it also my new favourite place to eat!

First time at this lovely old pub, just a day trip to Eastbourne. The pub is so full of history and character, the staff were just lovely, friendly, accommodating and attentive. Our meals were delicious, fresh home cooked food at its best. We would recommend this gorgeous old pub to anyone… ⭐️

A warm hospitable welcome, great beer, delicious food, warm comfy bed with plenty of hot water to wash away the jet lager. Would recommend to all, off street car parking a bonus. Fascinating history. See you again sometime!

Our group of 12 went there for Sunday lunch last week. Lovely food and service. Best fish and chips around according to some of the group.

Totally worth it. Good food, good beer. Was there 2 nights, at the hotel part. Beautiful and clean room. Breakfast was superb. Staff is really nice and friendly. Recommended!

Nice atmosphere, great rooms for hire for special events. The food here is incredible and if you're looking for a great halloumi burger, look no further than the Lamb.

Great place! Nat, the manager, is the kindest and most friendly person! She makes everybody feels welcome and genuinely tries to help everybody. Her staff however, are bot so great. The male waiters avoid eye contact and when they do ser you, they say they’ll be back but never do. They don’t seem to cope with the busy times. Food is really good. I’ve been to this place many times before when in town and it never disappoints.

The atmosphere of the lamb is lovely and the staff friendly. Hadn't eaten in there until today. Food was really tasty but warn you portions are big. Gorgeous!

Had lovely food on Sunday, welcoming service despite us arriving late in the afternoon. Great ancient building with lots of interesting nooks and crannies!

Ok so the actual pub is lovely a beautiful old building with good beer. But the food is dire! It reads ok but it is badly cooked, sloppily presented and quite simply is not upto scratch at all. I ate her a few months ago at friends invite and struggled to find anything good about the meal, but was there to catch up with friends so put up and shut up. Another time at friends suggestion and again uninspired by the meal… last night will be my last meal here. The salad garnish was old and wilting with a strong vinegary dressing slipped on. The falafel burger in a bun was dry boring and a nod to artistic cuisine was a slice of beef tomato. Presumably to help it down.! The chips were burnt and had those horrible potato eye bits still in all hard and unpleasant. The garden peas (could anyone mess up cooking frozen peas) were oddly gritty … didn’t go there on that one … Battered fish was edible. Which isn’t a compliment as this was a restaurant after all. All in all it was horrible. And I imagined it was the sort of food you would get when a chef has gone off sick and the cleaner has to take over… no folks won’t waste my money again on eating here. Given it 3 goes in last year and also my fellow eaters left stuff on plate so not just me moaning. The pub is lovely as a building but it lacks something… the beer is good as is the wine selection at the bar but it’s a sorry excuse for an eaterie.

I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere there. And traditional English pub on the ground floor was one of the best I have ever experienced in England. Waiters were too very friendly. I would like to visit there again if possible.

Honestly one of the nicest places I've ever been. Harveys is poured well, Dogs are welcome and staff really kind. Well done!

We have been here to eat twice now, last nights visit will be the last time. We sat at our table and waited almost 10 minutes before we saw our waitress, drinks ordered, another 10 minute wait and two orders incorrect. Food orders taken, 5 of us having pies, waitress returns a few minutes later to inform us they only have 3 pies, 2 of us reselect chicken, no chicken. I totally get that popular items run out but this was at 19:00, almost the start of dinner.
The food was a bit hit and miss, the Pork Belly was a little dry so we asked for more gravy, this never arrived. An hour later I had to go and find the waitress to clear the table and bring the desert menu, when she eventually appeared 15 minutes later we had all gone off the idea so asked for the bill, we never did see her again, we paid the bill at the bar and left, such a shame as this could potentially be amazing.

Really lovely rooms which are done out brilliantly in a pub full of character. Really enjoyed learning about the history of the place and the tour to see the tunnels to the church next door. The theatre in the pub was a unexpected bonus and really fun!

Love this boozer. It's a timeless classic and has been since I was a young en and plenty before then. A great old boozer with function rooms traditional Sussex Ales and more. Living in Oz you miss the proper olde english boozers. Saw a Classic Guitar night last night with the fabulous Gaby Sadler and Co. Was busy and plenty atmospheric jollies going on.

One of the oldest pubs in England, full of character including the log fire in cold weather. Only 3 stars because although the food is good it's a little pricey, the bar service can be a little erratic and parking can be tricky, there is a small carpark, if you don't know the backstreets nearby. Good beer.

Had the most fabulous afternoon at the Lamb yesterday for Mother’s Day, the goats cheese starter was delectable and the roast chicken was one of the best roasts I’ve had in a very, very long time (other than my own obviously)! The Lamb is one of the loveliest pubs around which oozes warmth and coziness and Natalie just makes every visit that little bit more special, she is just amazing!

Polite service, most of the time and a great venue if you can afford their prices.

Perfect to stay with friends and taste beer. Full of history you could ask to have a tour you'll be surprised!

I have been there several times with my family. The choice of food and quality is excellent as well as the service. Parking is a bit of an issue, there is a small car park beside the pub but there is a large car park at the rear of Waitrose which is not locked and Waitrose is next to the pub.

Great pub that could easily become a local if I lived in Eastbourne, not a bad selection of ales if that's your tipple. Warm and pleasant atmosphere. Very clean toilets too.

Have had a lovely few nights in this pub! Super cute and old style country pub/b&b! Service by the staff was impeccable! Very busy pub as it is so so popular! The only thing that let it down slight was the windows in our room, they're obviously the originals and don't keep out any noise or keep out cold air.

Lovely food and very cosy but last boxing day my chicken burger was literally raw in the middle. It was pink and fleshy but I got a new one straight away so it's fine. Drinks are a bit pricey but the south of England is like that.

Cozy atmosphere and delicious food. Portions were large-sized and not at the expense of quality — soup was warming and nicely spiced, lamb fell off the bone, mash and veg very tasty. Great service.

Had a mummy daughter date meal and the staff and food were brilliant! My blue steak was cooked to perfection and our waitress was very friendly and helpful, even the regulars sat at the bar where nice moving out the way so I could get served. Would definitely recommend to others.

Historic local pub next to a beautiful churchyard. Good selection of local and guest ales and a menu of traditional pub grub. Really nice place, with exposed beams and a function room upstairs.

Beautiful old building. Having a few nights here bed n breakfast. Brekkie is delicious. Pub is very atmospheric and meals very good. Can't fault it.

I've been going to the Lamb on and off for almost 50 years. It is STILL a great place for a quick (or slow) pint and the food has improved greatly. We have used their upstairs room for family gatherings on occasion and have always been satisfied!

Oldest pub in Eastbourne plenty of atmosphere good selection of real ales but pricey pub food very good.

The food was excellent (very healthy portions! ) and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We were even asked which table we would like when we phoned to book.

My wife and I have just returned from another lovely comfortable stay at the Lamb Inn. As before the food, drinks, service & accommodation were excellent! The Lamb deserves to have a 5 Star rating! The service is quick, efficient, professional & friendly & the prices are very competitive. We have been returning to the Lamb every month or so over the last year or more the the quality is always consistent, appetising & attractive with generous portions. The accommodation is modern, clean, comfortable & up to date. Looking forward to returning again soon :-)
