We stayed for one night and ate in the restaurant, everything about our stay was amazing!
The food was incredible so fresh and tasty. Every member of staff we came into contact with were friendly and helpful. Exactly value for money.

Wonderful hotel staff couldn’t do enough for you very friendly bar and restaurant excellent and the bed was so soft couldn’t get up this morning will be staying again.

Have stayed at the Glendale 4 times rooms spacious and clean. Fabulous breakfast.

Lovely place. Clean comfy rooms and friendly staff. Just know there is no lift and you must walk up stairs to get to the room. Good news is it gets you floors on you fit bit.

I was lucky enough to have won the Facebook competition for a 2-course meal out at the Glendale so we booked in for last night. From start to finish the staff were so friendly and attentive — you really do get service with a smile. We enjoyed bruschetta with goats cheese/ mozzarella to start which was beautiful. My husband then had the surf and turf — he commented that the king prawns were delicious and I enjoyed the “mother in law”which was a beautiful piece of fillet steak with a sauce. The potato croquettes accompaniment were a lovely change to traditional chips. We finished off the evening with a dessert of tiramisu.
Once again thank you to all of you for a fantastic evening… we will be returning soon!

Had a fabulous time on Friday with my wife and children, staff were friendly and super efficient couldn’t do enough for us, food arrived hot and on time, delicious flavours and would highly recommend to our friends and family.

We had a lovely meal there with friends. Have been many times. Great place to celebrate a special day.

Previously good friendly experience dashed by total inability to cope with busy pre-Christmas custom. Had a 7.30 booking. They only 4 pizza bases left. (Seems oddin an Italian restaurant! ) So v. Disappointing as they do excellent pizza but at least there were enough for some of those who wanted. That might have lost them a star. But the real reason for low score is that we waited around hour and a half for main courses to arrive, so we were all getting restless, especially the kids. Such a shame. Eventually we had to call someone over to say we were on the point of leaving to go get a takeaway instead when supper finally arrived. Management did offer a small gesture to make it up to us but really took the shine off our special family treat. The food was good but just not an enjoyable experience so I am not sure if I would go again. If I do, I hope to be able to put 5 stars again. Sorry to score a local business so low, but I would have wanted to know this, especially if dining out with kids.

Hotel was really welcoming and pleasant. Staff were great and breakfast was perfect.

Situated right by the Train station. Easy access to Cardiff centre. Friendly staff, nice breakfast, comfy bed.

Hotel is good value for money. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The en-suite bathroom was clean. As far as I'm concerned I would have given it 5* if it had a lift to the upper floors, plus I was disappointed with the breakfast, we were given 1/2 a sausage each, cut lengthwise with the cut side down giving the illusion at first glance that it was a full sausage. Ultimately, would I stay there again, absolutely, the positives for me out way the negatives.

Had a wonderful stay here this weekend. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The room was large and quite stylish and had everything you need. Breakfast was great and a nice choice of cereals, toast and full English. The hotel is located in a convenient and beautiful setting, just minutes walk from a woodland path and Park and a nice stroll down to the pier. A trip to Cardiff is only a 15min drive away. I would recommend the Glendale Hotel without any hesitation and would definitely stay here again.

A lovely place to stay, but have lots of stairs for those who have mobility issues. Service from staff is brilliant.

Came for a Christmas meal with friends, the food was an exceptional standard, huge portions stunning quality, great friendly staff. Nice touch had a yellow rose on the way out! Will be back!

Really nice atmosphere and food. I think some balancing of food portions needs to be looked at for the mains but it was really nice. Would go again.
