Lovely friendly staff, they can't do enough to make you feel welcome.

We hosted our home wedding party there. And Rhian and the team couldn't do enough for us. James held the night together for us. It was all so well organised it turned out far better than we could of imagined! Denise dressed the room beautifully and the food was absolutely beautiful! Trying to think of an excuse to have another party there. X.

Heater sounded like a HGV going past every 30 minutes. Staff are polite and room and clean and tidy.

Booked a overnight stay for my son for his 30th birthday. What a lovely place it was. Very clean and smart. In a wonderful setting. Close to all the The staff were a real credit to this hotel and couldn't do enough for us. Francesca and the staff organised a bottle of prosecco on ice and a fabulous birthday cake beautifully dressed with gold and raspberries. I was so impressed and believe me I am extremely fussy. I would totally recommend this hotel. Book it you wont be disappointed. Thank you Swansea Marriott.

Fab staff, beautiful food — lovely environment.

Great customer service and always a warm welcome especially when travelling with the kids. They love the free cookies and milk before bed! Food is always fabulous especially the buffet breakfast. Food in the restaurant is great and of food value. The leisure facilities are great. Only a short walking distance to lots of great attactions. We always stay here when in Swansea.

Went here for a meal with a group of old school friends. We had a very pleasant evening and I enjoyed the food. The steak I had was the best I've had in a long time. The service was not good. We had to ask for the wine list, remind them that we had asked for water etc. Luckily we were happy to sit and talk between courses because the waiting staff didn't rush to take our orders or refill our drinks even though they were not busy.

Great location, lovely staff… Dinner was OK nothing to shout about… Sea Bass was not the best, the skin would have been better crispy. My colleague ordered fillet steak and said it was one of the best she had ever had, so there you go.
Rooms seem a little tired, nice bed and pillows. We had rooms looking at the bins not a great view when we could have had a marina view.

Had a wonderful time on our beautiful grandson Reuben christening wonderful customer service would recommend it to everyone had a fabulous afternoon will be going back there definitely.

Had my sons christening at the Marriott hotel Swansea today. What can I say. Absolutely amazing service. So happy with the way the room looked and the food tasted amazing. Me and my sisters have all had our weddings there, they never fail to deliver. 5 star.

Enjoyed a delicious three course Sunday lunch, friendly, warm atmosphere, fantastic value, helpful, welcoming staff.

My niece had her wedding there on Saturday, the staff were amazing from the waiters and waitresses and the bar staff & restaurant staff and the girl on the check out, it made my niece's wedding even more special, by the lovely staff, the reception food was lovely served by there lovely staff & the evening buffet was wonderful to, most of the family stayed the night some stayed 2 nights and our stay was wonderful, I'm wheelchair bound and the room was wonderful. My brother and sister in law gave her an amazing wedding, so thank you to all the staff for making it even more special.

Enjoyed the Sunday lunch very much. Three courses and all so tasty, chilled atmosphere very good service by the staff who give us all the information & were spot on with drinks & food. One tiny thing””they had run out of apple source to compliment the pork dinner I ordered. Keep it up Marriott Hotel Swansea. We will be back.

Facilities superb for after dinner function takes anything up to 200+ cost and food excellent staff brilliant nothing too much trouble. Used Marriott 7 years in a row best in Swansea.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Hotel very clean and spacious. Afternoon tea was special. Definitely recommend to family and friends visiting Swansea.

Its been long time since my friends and I have been to the Marriot hotel for a drink. This why am so delighted to be invited yet again to have breakfast in the company of my pastors. Really looking forward to participate. I would like to extend my heart felt gratitude to the amazing JT Thomas for making this happen and what can I say in conclusion: you are simply the best and am so indebted to you.

Good size rooms, but their ventilation was not the best. Good location by the sea front, where you can run. Full English in the morning, but also some healthier options like fruit and salmon. You have to pay for Wi-Fi, though.

Awesome place to stay, even with a bit of scaffolding obstructing my view. Beautiful building with an awesome view of the sea in many rooms. Staff were kind and friendly and breakfast was brilliant. Would highly recommend staying here. The room had an adjustable radiator/air conditioner and the bed was very comfy.

I read the bad reviews and I understand why some may be disappointed. There is scaffolding all around the building but it is not clear why. The staff were very good and answered all of our requests promptly. There are no fridges in the room but they are happy to bring you one which I think it's weird. Really good location. Free parking. You have to register your car when checking in. I would describe the hotel as quaint.

Absolutely beautiful place to go and stay, excellent customer service, such friendly and welcoming staff. Cannot fault them one bit. Bedroom was very clean and tidy with lovely views. Set right by night life but not to close it's noisy, beach situated right next door with great things to do near by. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Such great value for what you get. You get a bar, use off swimming pool, sauna and gym all in the price.

Great facilities, 1 minute from the beach and genuinely friendly staff throughout.

A lovely hotel situated in the Marina. This hotel has two views depending on which side your room is on — one side is the Marina and the other is Swansea bay where you can see Mumbles.

Organised a networking dinner for 110 people. The staff were very accommodating, going above and beyond. Special thanks to the manager that was on shift at the time. The food was too notch and the place was decorated to a very high standard. Very much recommended when it comes to hosting events!

Lovely cozy hotel with a professional and kind staff. We had a long journey to get there, and they allowed us to check in a little early by getting the room cleaned quickly. The hotel is in a great location to explore Swansea, and other local destinations are a short bus ride away. We really enjoyed our stay, and if we are fortunate enough to make it back one day, we will definitely choose the Marriott.

Room a little dated but very comfortable stay, good food in the restaurant and access to the gym down the road to supplement the existing facilities.

We booked a room with two double beds and were put into a lovely room on the third floor, but unfortunately it had a double and a sofa-bed, which didn't work for us. We were told it was due to overbooking. We asked to be moved and were put into a room on the second floor, with two doubles, which wasn't as nice, although it was OK. That said, the room service pizzas and the breakfast in the morning were excellent.

Unpleasant experience, the manager mr. Serban been not honest as he said that he can’t contact me and he not have my contact number which am already stated it when I made my booking! His attitude was for reason, to charge me extra for three hours as he said it’s up to discretion of the hotel staff. Any way the hotel rooms been dirty, the gym uncountable as there’s no enough equipment But the breakfast stuff been kind.

Not a great place to stay, the Hotel is currently fully covered in Scaffolding, this information was not provided to us prior to the booking. The room was damp and windows soaking due to condensation, and they put me and 2 young children in there! The front desk Manager agreed in an email that the standards was not acceptable, and offered us nothing other than an apology. They rang my room at 10pm for a card payment for food we had to the room (woke my kids up) no sense till wait to the morning for this, even though I had tried to pay this bill TWICE before the food was delivered to my room. AVOID this hotel at all costs…

Such a lovely comfortable experience with the room. Friendly staff… exquisite food. Hearty breakfast of fried to continental to cereals. Swimming pool and sauna also multi gym and to top it off just on the doorstep of Swansea bay and city. Lovely stay 5 for me.

Nice rooms with large tv's and comfy beds, if I had a gripe it would be the shower which is to low down for a tall person. The staff and service are excellent as is the menu and food.

There is some renovation work going on, but didn't really take anything away from the experience, the location is fabulous. 30 seconds away from a beautiful clean beach… The hotel food was decent too. Nice friendly staff.

Lovely service and great choice of food for both in room and in the restaurant. The room was very clean with a very large TV and was kept clean for the duration of our stay.

Lovely hotel with great staff and great location. Waterside in Swansea Bay with city centre 3 minutes walk. Lots of great places to eat nearby but I do recommend the cod and chips in tghe marriott and the breakfast is great too.

We have used the Marriott for our annual conferences for the past two years & we find it to be an excellent venue. The service is always of a high standard and they help to deliver an excellent conference. I look forward to using them again in February.

A nice sized room with a good sized bathroom. We went for the two X double bed option do the room needed to be a fair size. Close to the beach, promenade and marina. On site, free parking, but you do need to register your car at reception.

Great location right by the beach — good for a morning walk as the sun rises! Comfortable bed, clean room, good breakfast, friendly staff. The "gym" was a bit hot as it's in the same room as the pool! Could've done with decaf coffee & more sugar in the room.

We just came for few days for a break from work. Marriott Hotel is not my kind of Hotel but it was the only Hotel you could pick in Swansea. Our room was perfect facing the marina, clean & big enough for two people, staff were friendly. No need to wake up early morning for b/fast you can still order it at the bar, which I liked because I’m not an early bird.

It's a Matriott Big clean hotel. The rooms are large and comfortable. This hotel is right on the beach and next to a large marina. I've eaten here a few times now and the food has always been delicious and the service friendly. Restaurants and town are nearby in walking distance. There is a patio area adjacent to the hotel where you can look out to sea in a fenced area with seating.

Good comfortable stay. Interested and courteous staff at all levels. Didn't eat in the hotel though the food looked very good. On site parking and central for the city centre.

Reasonably priced room with comfortable beds and a bar that stayed open late enough and had a cask ale on draft. Only downside was the AC didn't really cool the room down as much as I'd hoped. Otherwise, it was a great stay.

We recently had a family gathering of 20 people celebrating my parents 60th Wedding Anniversary We dined in the restaurant in the evening and the food all came as ordered. Not one dish was sent back. The food was quality and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Rooms were comfortable and breakfast in the morning was perfect. The location is ideal, it is right on the seafront of the best coastline in the UK. Great sandy beaches, ideal for a walk or just to sit to watch the world go by. Also shows live football in the bar which helps if your a footy or a general sports fan. Thank you.

Fairly standard rooms. Internal communication was poor a room service wasn't great. Unlikely to stay again.

The room was big and clean. The bathroom was not clean especially the bathtub. Checking in and checking out was easy and simple. Breakfast was good.

Apart from proximity to beach there is nothing interesting about this place. For over £150 per night you would expect better. The reception and entrance is crowded after noon with very loud wedding parties. The condition of bathroom was appalling. Photos would speak for themselves.

Stayed here as a couple celebrating our anniversary. The hotel is not the most modern, but is spotlessly clean with good food, lovely rooms and staff that excell. They were polite, helpful and genuinely friendly. They also appeared to have a good team spirit, and always had a smile for their colleagues and guests alike. Won't hesitate to return.

Not too bad but I'd say a premier Inn or even travel lodge are better. Loud music from downstairs was pounding away til 1am and we could hear the songs clearly on the 2nd floor (view from window of just a roof). Fine if on holiday but not if you've got work the next morning. Rooms were clean and tidy, room service very expensive.

Firstly. When you arrive don't list the exterios get you down. It's old and by the sea! As soon as you walk in you'll forget about that. Great Service, to the point where we got upgrades to a bigger room, free drinks and free breakfast all becuase the lesser room I booked was actually not available. Staff are great, Manager is front and centre and makes his presence known. My wife was dehydrated at 3am and room service was with her in mins. They're good with kids, food is spot on and the views are awesome even, The point where you wouldn't even think you were in Swansea As a habitual Prem Inn goer, there's suddenly competition for future trips. Book here.

It is an international chain hotel, so quite standard and little personalized.
The hotel begins to age, and would need a renovation to be in the taste of the day.
For example, to access some rooms, you have to take an elevator that seems to be a service elevator. Not great…
So average experience.

We came here today for afternoon tea. The staff were friendly and helpful and the portions very generous. They even gave us a doggy bag! I would highly recommend it and we're looking forward to going again.

The location is good — close to a marina, supermarket and road connections. The staff were all really nice and friendly. The dinner at the restaurant, which I ordered at 9:30pm was excellent and surpassed my expectations of food at that time of day. The superior room was spacious but not elegant and particularly well finished. I would return.

The Mariott that time forgot is how I would describe this place. Old decor but comfortable bed. Breakfast was terrible, I ordered poached eggs and got two rock hard things with brown water on the plate.

We attended a ball here with food provided. The service was good and attentive, the food was good and the atmosphere was welcoming. The only slight inconvenience was seeing up a bar tab with a visa debit. Although hotel prices are never cheap so maybe this was a blessing…

Great location, with views of the marina and sea. The rooms are well furnished and adequate. Lots of thoughtful touches from the staff, and a decent breakfast offering.

Very poor service provided. No motivation in the staff. Very demotivated. Problems started when we arrived and got put in to our room with a view baring in mind we payed a premium for a view (marina view with a bent neck. (Forgot to mention in their description) room very smelly and seemed unhygienic with that. We managed to move opposite but with a broken window no fridge no fan or fresh air. But we did have a view this time round haha. If we would of wanted to move rooms due to the fridge and window we would of had to sacrifice to the view which we paid a lot for and be put on the ground floor. Moving on. Breakfast is clearly stated on all information packs and televisions that mon-Fri time is 6:30-11:00 am but when we arrived at 10:05 we was made aware that breakfast had just finished at 10. Got made to feel like they didn't want us there and we were an inconvenience to the staff. We finally go offered a breakfast but it came out with no offer of cutlery, never mind the main ingredients Lacking egg, toast and didn't get offered a drink. They came ten mins after the initial plate of crap haha. Sausage they served us was by no means in date. Belemic sausages. Very disgusted that we got served pure trash. Not worth bearing in mind that its £31 for 2 breakfasts and you don't even get to eat. that's without the price of the room @ £130 a night.

Claire the events manager is fantastic! She is really knowledgeable and the staff make sure that we have what we need. We keep returning there for events after our wedding because it's second to none.

Used one of the conference rooms for a meeting. The room and step were excellent. No problems, used the venue before and will use again.

My parents were visiting me and staying at the hotel, my dad and I had a drink in the bar and watched the football. Screen was large and the volume was at a good level. Drinks were cold and there was plenty of chairs.

Spent time at the Marriott Hotel for a company meeting. The staff are accommodating and the room was clean and comfortable.

No Free Wi-Fi. I've hired a room and not allowed to open the windows. Heavy old large air conditioning unit has to be used constantly ad the room was like a sauna without any fresh air. Against my human rights for sure. Coffee was chemical tasting over priced club sandwich. Asked for paracetamol from reception as my partner had a headache from lack of fresh air and none available. Loud music and Terribe TV system. No room Wi-Fi and if u do its highly expensive. shabby building externally needs an update. Complained but they offered to upgrade my next stay to a better room but no offer for any inconvenience for my inability to sleep comfortable the air conditioning unit sounded like a tumble dryer and washing machine on full spin CONSTANTLY. Smoking area outside not at all clean or discreet. customer service very poor.

Do not pay the outrageous fee of £15 for Wi-Fi for 24 hrs. Ask for a room facing swansea marina and use there's for £4.00 for 24 hrs. Every little bit helps.

My only complaint is that, though free Wi-Fi is available in the lobby, one has to pay for Wi-Fi in your room. While one can get free Wi-Fi at just about any cafe, it's six pounds per hour at Marriott, at least in Swansea. At this day and age, Wi-Fi out to be as basic to a hotel room as running water.
