Had a Sunday lunch today and it's was absolutely bewtiful staff were very polite friendly and helpful very clean and will definitely be going again excellent value for money very highly recommended.

First time here, had the picnic bench, all I can say is it was fantastic value for money and absolutely delicious too. I like my food, but it was too much to eat so I brought a doggy bag home.
Hope they continue with these in the new year, as I would love to try different themed picnic benches.
Nice selection of gins too, definitely recommend this place.

Absolutely stuffed after your Christmas bench. Was amazing & out standing value. Highly recommend & thanks for the take out boxes to take some home.

Food was nice when I came. Waited an hour and half for a burger, garlic bread took an extra half hour. Very poor service.

My daughter and I spent a night at this inn as we finished our motorcycle tour of Wales. Rooms are excellent, in fact quite new and are over the back of the inn. There is live music over the weekend but only a small amount gets through to rooms and stops at midnight. We were impressed by the size of the rooms and bathroom. Shower was great. Food is not served in the evenings. If all else fails Wetherspoons is just down the road. Parking is limited to on street or there is space for a couple of cars at the rear of the inn. Breakfast is great value, freshly cooked and the full English is full. Worth a visit? Definitely.

It is my regular social meeting place needs a bit of improvement as they have just sacked the chef how can you run an hotel with out one of these, Geoff.

Must have stayed there at least twenty times and is consistently good. Rooms well furnished and exceptionally clean with great showers. A very lively friendly pub downstairs with excellent breakfast. Highly recommended.

Very pleasantly surprised! room was immaculate, lovely big bed, powerful shower and was shocked how cheap the food was. Large breakfast cooked fresh. Highly recommend!

Well after staying the night at the Cambrian before a family wedding I felt I had to write this review. Myself, my mother and my granddaughter stayed in room 6 on a Friday night. We arrived at around 8pm and had to walk through the very noisey pub with my 11 month granddaughter. We were shown to our room which has a step that wasn't marked clearly. My mother fell down the step with the baby and had a nasty injury. The staff were amazing but the step should have been clearly marked. We were then informed there would be an artist this would go on until 11.45. The noise in the room was awful and with a 11 month old trying to sleep this was not good. Our room had patio doors that overlooked the smoking area… the people outside clearly has no respect for those staying. The noise, language, glass smashing, vomiting and fighting went on outside out room until almost 2am. I have given 1 star purely as the room was lovely, the staff and breakfast were fab. However, I would not advise anyone staying here hoping to get some sleep. Coz we certainly didn't. If you do stay in room 6 beware of the step it could have been a lot worse.

We have just stayed the night again at this hotel We have stayed there several times before as we visit family close by. The staff and cleanliness is always top drawer. Had a meal from the bar which was extremely good. Would stay nowhere else and would thoroughly recommend it.

Fab pub now it's been done out had to wait a while for food but great pint.

I had steak there today, I asked for medium it was well done, and tasted really bland I had to add pepper just to get some flavour and like it been microwaved, peas were so salty inedible. Won't be going again.

Great place to stay, but far too noisy for families.

The finish to the hotel is to an excellent standard with all of the fittings and decorations very nicely presented. The rooms are mostly spacious and well equipped with all of the standard hotel room features: flat screen TVs, coat hangers, kettle, hairdryer and extra blankets etc. The rooms are warm and very comfortable and the staff are welcoming and chatty. The bathrooms are immaculate with fire-engine like water pressure, lovely modern finishings like heated towel rails and quality soaps and lotions. The rooms at the back of the hotel back out on to a roof top terrace that I'm sure is lovely during the summer. The pub itself serves award winning drinks and is always full of entertainment with pub quizzes and live bands. I would highly recommend "the Cam" as the place-to-stay in Tredegar.
