Excellent Sunday roast. Friendly and helpful staff. Would visit again.

Me, my mum and grown daughter shared a family room here as we were down for a wedding, it was excellent value for money, the breakfast choice and the quality of food was amazing, the rooms were clean and the beds extremely comfortable. We went in the bar on our first night and had food which was also incredible and a hood price. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, I just wish we had come in the summer because it was beautifully lit up on the terrace and under cover but too cold for us oldies to sit and enjoy. And the hotel is well placed to explore Chepstow. I would definitely stay here again.

Another lovely meal with friends in the Beaufort restaurant. Great staff, really friendly and welcoming. Restaurant has had a facelift during lockdown and looks great.

I have to admit I’ve lived in Chepstow for four years now and I’ve never been in the Beaufort, what a mistake that has been. Myself and friend went in with a doggy. They welcomed us in warmly, the staff were attentive and very friendly. The decor is lovely and very fresh. Possibly recently done. The food was excellent and reasonably price, nice size portions. I will be returning on what I’m sure will be numerous times. Good job guys, in these tough times you have exceeded what we all want, good food, good drinks and a welcoming atmosphere.

Had lunch at the Beaufort today and it was beautiful. Could not recommend this hotel enough for they extensive menu and there offer of but one get the cheapest free.
I had the homemade pie, mash and gravy.
Really warm hearty foods ready for the winter.

Lovely friendly staff in a beautiful hotel, we stay here every year for the Cheltenham Festival and are never disappointed.

Had an over night stay here with my girls on the weekend. Our room was clean, cosy and done to high standard, like home from home.
the staff on in the morning were very helpful and attentive. Overall experience was a* my girls didnt want to leave.

Visited today for a training day being held in one of their rooms. The staff were really friendly and helpful, really nice bar/restaurant area too.

First time visit to the Beaufort Hotel last night, attending a Christmas Dinner event. The atmosphere and surroundings were very inviting making for a happy and relaxing evening.
The food, beautifully presented and cooked, was so tasty with plenty of it; hats off to the Chef. Will definitely visit again and recommend to others. Thank you.

Not often I leave a restaurant and feel the need to update how good the experience was but 5* — both food & service was amazing! We will be back!

Very cosy hotel central to the town. Checked in by Carolyn who was friendly, cheerful and helpful. The room was comfortable and en-suite with a fantastically comfortable bed.

First time stayed there, staff were friendly really made u feel welcome, will def recommend and stay again.

Eaten here a few times with and without children and it has always been lovely, staff are polite and welcoming, everything is always very clean and the food is very nice, only took a star off because the scones were more like biscuits and there wasn't enough cream with them. (Little tip, don't reheat scones :-) )

Would have got five stars if they had read my allergy request and not left all the milk in my room… Can't complain though staff were lovely.

We went here because we had an hour to kill before our train went and they had cream tea advertised, which was what we were looking for. We got the cream tea in the end, but where asked questions like — do you want scones with it, followed by do you want tea with it? uhm… it's a cream tea so yes… we also ordered a hot chocolate, which was watery and terrible. To be fair the cream tea — when it came (first without tea, had to go inside to chase it up) was fine.

I'm giving 1 star for the staff as they were polite and the room was clean. That aside the room smelt musty, very tired, it took 8 minutes! each time for the shower to produce hot water. And the corker was we were kept awake most of the night due to Stag Parties. These idiots were storming through the corridors screaming, swearing, slamming on doors and chanting. It was terrifying. Not the hotels fault you could say but it took an age for me to firstly get hold of the Night Manager and secondly it took him an eternity to get to their room. They were eating breakfast the next morning even after their behavior. Only after I whined again did the receptionist apparently ask them to leave and offered us free tea or coffee… whoop de doo, we declined this small offering for a vile night.

Def a hotel to return to Great staff — room was basic but it was good enough for what we wanted. The other guests were welcoming to us. Very central to shops — train station. Clean — good price Highly recommend.

We use the hotel for meetings, staff are pleasant and helpful, the buffet we have is very good.

Good town centre hotel, clean and tidy with really helpful staff (the owner moved her car so I could get into the car park). Lovely breakfast.

This is a luxurious place to visit even just for a coffee the food is good as well.

Had my mums 50th birthday party here, the function room was spacious, the DJ was amazing, friendly and helpful, the food is amazing and was a good selection, the bar staff was friendly, helpful, polite and a good laugh and then we had a room for the night we had the family room which was big one double bed and two single beds and the room was clean, check out was at 11am do had a lie in, the cleaner was very nice and helped take my pram downstairs and the receptionist was very helpful we were late for breakfast but she asked the chef to fit us in for breakfast and all the staff were helpful, kind and it was a really nice atmosphere. Thank you everyone at the Beaufort hotel for your hard work Saturday night it was amazing and we will defiantly be coming again, parties, meals etc and will defiantly recommend this place.

The food and beverage choices were wonderful. Staff were amazing. The only reason there was no extra star was because of the bed I slept in was like sleeping on a metal grate. The staff couldn't apologise enough, but unfortunately I didn't sleep.

Decent size room though it was a little dated. The bar manager should stick to serving drinks and not showing off for the regulars. Breakfast was nice, however some bits were missing when it came out.

Attracted by the room photos on website but then greatly disappointed by the awful small bunkhouse rooms we were allocated. One of our rooms was at ground floor adjacent to the very noisy outside yard full of smokers in the evening. Breakfast was OK and the breakfast staff were excellent. Reception staff are actually bar girls who were only average. The manager was OK until he was contacted in an emergency at night by the Newport hospital when he told them to ring back in the morning. Parking for six cars only but ample parking within 200 mtrs.

Good sound rooms greeted by a pleasant girl on the front desk. Friendly helpful staff and nice central location. Two great barman one called Craig made for a good atmosphere on arrival and throughout the stay. Recommend the Beaufort for Chepstow.

Good size room, breakfast, free parking… For me this is enough to be happy faraway from home.

Smoked salmon and chives omelette was delicious, friendly staff, fresh ale. The kitchen produces fantastic food — I've tried most of the menu! Bar area is very well laid out and much better when there's no football on the TV. Rooms are a slight let down, quite dated with little soundproofing.

Great value for money lunches. Excellent home made soup. Courteous staff. Clean and tidy.

Breakfast was good. The rooms only had one key, but the staff was very friendly!

Came yesterday for burger Wednesday. Haven't been in years. It was great! Lovely food and service was good. Chios were cooked to perfection. My hunters chicken burger was lush! And pudding was yummy too although would have liked maybe more homemade kind of desserts. But I have recommended it ti everyone and we will be back!

A very personalized atmosphere.

Tired, shabby and badly in need of a make over. Our room smelt musty and damp. The shower had two settings, off and boiling hot, it should carry a health warning. The poached eggs I had for breakfast were unlike anything I had ever seen, Probably the worst place I had ever stayed in.
