Customer service is appalling, booked a golf break with 3 course meal included, got a burger in a bun that was it. One of the parties staying had a health issue and was explained the situation, this was ignored. So much more wasn't right, so just Dont expect too much from this place over priced and over rated. Happy to take your money but not to deliver the goods.

An overall outstanding hotel. Yes you may have to wait a little longer… global pandemic has hammered hospitality and all venues are desperate for staff. 5* all round.

Dreadful service and probably the worst breakfast I’ve ever been served. Beautiful setting and great golf but please do not go expecting good food or service. I’ve had some bad meals in my time but this really did top the lot. Not what I would expect and really must have taken some effort to get it so badly wrong. I will certainly play golf again but would not waste my time staying and certainly would not recommend to friend or foe.

Beautiful Hotel with church attached dating back to 1066. Stunning golf course. Rooms overlooking lake which are quiet and peaceful.

Had a fantastic 1 night dinner B&B, two rounds of golf stay here with my golfing buddies from days of yore. Staff were extremely helpful and both the hotel and golf courses were immaculate. Would highly recommend for a short golf break.

Driving into the estate us charming. Gardens and surrounding areas are very high quality. The House is gorgeous! Staff very friendly and extremely helpful.

Lovely setting and very nice hotel. Enjoyed our stay but have to mention how over powered we were with unwanted attention from the staff in the iron grill bar restaurant. Coming back to the table once to check everything is ok is acceptable but this was constant. We couldn't relax and enjoy our meal or our conversation. One member of staff hovered over our table the entire time waiting for us to finish courses, even pouring the wine for the 2nd glass. Getting into long conversations while we were eating. It was a table for 2 not 3! Very annoying. This is the thing that let my stay here down.

We had our wedding here on Saturday 13.10.18, it was absolutely amazing from start to finish. All the staff went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. We couldn’t have picked a better place to have our wedding. Thanks so much.

Big country and golf hotel south of Chepstow off a long tree-lined drive. It also has a decent gym, a swimming pool and jacuzzi with saunas. Quite a large hotel but the food was good (breakfast was delicious! ).

Came here for a spa break including 3 course dinner and breakfast. Nice room, pool a bit dated. Woman is spa doing my pedicure cut my toe (! ) Also did not have a bed that could have the head raised which I needed being nearly 9 months pregnant. Facial was OK. Form with personal details of mine was left in another room, not looked at by therapist. Dinner in evening was quite bland, not made fresh, ordered extra chips! Breakfast was better but bad coffee. Staff and reception building very nice. Many golfers! And we got caught up in the middle of a wedding.

Would highly recommend. We had our wedding here 3 weeks ago and it was amazing couldn't of asked for more. Staff were great and really made our day so special, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Stunning clean rooms and breakfast was delicious. Absolutely beautiful place with great facilities. Can not speak highly enough of st Pierre great place you won't be disappointed.

We had to wait an hour and a half for our room so that wasn't a good start. Then when we got to our room it was really hot and there was no air conditioning. There was a desk fan though. The hotel is run down and needs updating. It wasn't worth £190 for bed and breakfast — been to much nicer places for the same price. Won't be returning or recommending it.

Lovely place for Sunday Lunch. Buffet style 3 course lunch with a fine array of starters, beef, pork and chicken with assorted veg. Good wine choice and very friendly service. The restaurant setting is very pleasant and airy with lovely views. On this occasion my beef was somewhat gristly and the gravy was poor, which was noted by all four of us. However those who had the pork thought it was nice. Will certainly go again.

My daughter and I had booked a spa package with a massage. It was quiet on Tuesday, so we made the post of the pool, splash pool, steam room and sauna facilities. The place was spotless, staff were very welcoming and customer service was excellent. The food was delicious and great value for money. The massage was great. Would highly recommend this place. We will definitely be returning.

Very good overnight stay. Booked in for spa treatments with a couple of friends. Didn't manage to use the pool so cannot comment here. Changing rooms could do with a revamp very tired and worn looking, doors not licking etc. Food was OK though my friend and I ordered a crab dish that had so much chilli we couldn't taste anything. We complained and had something else instead which was better. We did enjoy ourselves and Adriana who was serving on the bar that night was such a lovely person. She made our night with friendly banter, what a pleasant sole she was.

A bit dated here and there but a lovely place. Staff were excellent, staff uniforms I found a little strange not all matching. A bit dusty in the bedroom but overall would stay again.

Lovely hotel in the middle of a golf course. Not golfers ourselves but the leisure facilities include access to the gym, swimming pool, spa, sauna and steam room. The room was nice, although you could hear people in the room next to you. The food was good (especially the breakfast) although the evening service was so slow in their restaurant that it ruined the meal for us. Otherwise a great place to stay with a range of elderly, young and families staying as well as lots of golfers.

Excellent massage and service. The grounds are very beautiful and staff very friendly. Lovely day spa with the use of a great gym, pool, sauna and steam as well as jacuzzi. Perfect.

We booked 2 nights at this hotel as a base for visiting Castles and Abbeys in the Chepstow area. What we didn’t expect was a historic main building that looks like a castle itself. We stayed in a 1 bed cottage by the main entrance that was a nice departure from the generic Marriott hotel rooms we see worldwide. The Zest restaurant is laid back with nice food and atmosphere. The service we received was friendly and just the right amount of attention from the staff. Breakfast is a buffet and up to the usual Marriott standard but of course room service is available if preferred. A very small downside was that noisy hotel guests staying in the room above woke us up with banging and loud talking in the middle of the night. We will return.

Poor overall experience, the hotel is very neglected and dated. Staff in the pro shop rude and unattentive when approached. Dining experience poor along with the attitude of the restaurants duty manager. At best I would say the bedroom was ok, onto the Golf Course I was expecting great things! I fully understand the weather has taken its toll on courses throughout the uk but the greens were akin to the roads in the uk, lumpy and bumpy with holes. Sorry St. Pierre but I think you are resting on your laurels, It will be interesting to see if anyone from the resort responds to this post! To summarise the trip it was memorable for all the wrong reasons, would not currently recommend to friends or colleagues.

Have just played 2 rounds of golf and stayed over in the hotel for one night I have to say I was bitterly disappointed. The only member of staff we can e across who was actually pleasant and had a smile on his face was the gentleman on the first tee. The greens were in a very very poor condition indeed which was surprising when the rest of the course was holding up well with all the weather we have had. The wives who turned up were made to feel very uncomfortable by the members when sitting in the bar area. Such a shame to see a course and hotel go down hill to these standards. Would strongly not recommend.

A lovely hotel and beautiful location. However, the rooms (we had 3) were a little jaded and one had not been cleaned fully when we checked in. The views along with the peace and quiet were wonderful but the hotel could do with a little refurbishment. Breakfast was an unfortunate free for all, as if 6 coach parties had arrived at one and the same time. Would recommend taking breakfast in your room rather than the stressful canteen atmosphere of the restaurant (we breakfasted twice) at least you wouldn't have to suffer the 'toast queue. I would however, recommend the restaurant for dinner, food and service both brilliant and a much improved ambiance to breakfast time.

We loved our stay at St. Pierre. The historical aspects of this fantastic manor home make the stay even more memorable. The rooms were clean and modern and the breakfast was among the best we experienced in GB. I highly recommend St. Pierre.

A beautiful hotel with extremely helpful staff. Nice bars and restaurants across the hotel and an incredibly good breakfast. The pool and gym facilities were clean and well maintained and the golf courses looked good (though I'm not a golfer, so that's an amateur's opinion). A truly lovely place to stay and only minutes from the Wye Valley, which is beautiful, rain or shine.

We are getting married here so far they have been amazing! The venue is stunning and we have complete control over everything. Also been there for afternoon tea which was lovely!

Been stopping here for the passed week and the staff are really helpful. Breakfast you have a huge choice of food to choose from. The grounds are beautiful. The room is cleaned to a high standard. Just be alert on the turn off as it comes into view at the very last minute. Apart from that, the hotel is a great place to relax.

Sen and Sarah greeted myself. The welcome was warm and helpful all information given in bitesize pieces. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a huge choice. Its lovely and relaxing.

A beautiful place, lovely, polite and helpful staff. Great spa and gym. A special weekend away was slightly marred by the cold bedroom and only one option for dining in the evening. We were expecting the choice of two restaurants as advertised on the website. To be just offered a very limited and quite frankly uninspiring dated menu of bar meals in the Zest bar. In a complete contrast, breakfast was fantastic a huge array of choice and all fresh. Friendly staff and all in the beautiful room we were expecting to have eaten at least one evening meal in. I spoke to a few other people during the stay and they were confused to as to why the Zest or Trophy bar were the only options for evening meals. You have an outstanding building, people want to dress up for a special evening etc and experience fine dining! I believed that the Marriott were about quality, which was seriously lacking in the bar food! It soon became apparent that you make your profits from business events, birthday parties etc and are not so concerned about the effects this has on dining experience for your other guests! You got 95% of a relaxing and birthday treat right. Time to update your menu Marriott!

Fantastic event, got married there myself years ago. Could do with of a bit of a refresh etc. Still a great place for events. Alcohol quite pricey, but no more than similar local venues. Would recommend for weddings, parties, etc. The resort also has two great golf courses, gym, swimming pool, etc. St. Pierre is an all round nice resort!

Played golf at the venue. Temp greens were not very good and maintenance work on the 18th restricted the experience. But brilliant setting and enjoyed a nice pint in the bar after.

The staff were lovely and helpful. Room was nice, but could do with a bit of updating. The sauna/steam room and pool was nice, but odd having to go through restaurant to get to them. Food at bar was average but breakfast was great.

We were expecting to stay in the main building so felt a little disheartened, but this quickly passed and we found the room was ideal with sofa bed for kids. Loved the breakfast buffet. Enjoyed the swimming pool too. Would recommend to friends.

Very nice and charming place. Wood cheminées fire inside. Great barman and lovely restaurant with attentive staff. Hotel room was nice with confortable bed with view on the golf course. Bath was a bit old and shower curtain a bit outdated for such place! Very lovely overall.

The grounds are lovely and the staff are great. My room, however had the thinnest walls ever. It sounded like the guy snoring next door was in the room with me, and I could hear every single word that they said in their room.

The grounds were amazing! Took me back in time. The fitness and pool facilities were very nice and the breakfast had a lot of variety and was very tasty. Had a wonderful stay!

Had a really nice weekend break here. It's a lovely, his building and the beautiful little church is a must see. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food wonderful. The bar was a bit modern and out of keeping with the rest of the hotel alas.

Played on the Championship course and impressed by the greens in particular and the course overall. Food, later was only fish and chips, but some of the best I've had for years. Desert was a treat too.

The event was well organised and well catered. The location was clean and neat. The food was a little too fancy for my taste, but well presented and most of the others on the course really enjoyed the selection, so that may be my own issue instead of the menu.

Staff are very professional, smart and friendly. The venue is always spotless and always has a warm feel. Lovely hotel.

Lovely hotel, great food, spa facilities good, golf courses are a fine test of golf but a little slow, we averaged 5hrs/round, rooms are good and the best but was the staff, they were fantastic. Just sort out the slow play on the course and this would be a must visit hotel!

Had a golfing break here for a few days with family. Rooms were ok, fairly well appointed. Facilities were very good, and the golf courses were good for both experienced + new players. Green fees were included, could have been expensive otherwise. Food was good. Bar wasn't too expensive. Staff were helpful. Golf shop + golf buggy hire were on the expensive side though.

Nearly 4 hours to play 9 holes due to a seniors 4 ball competition followed by a 1 ball. Terrible course management of tee times. Waste of time and money.

We went to St. Pierre for afternoon tea, which was very nice. The sandwiches weren't the most exciting (ham and mustard, egg mayonnaise, and smoked salmon and cream cheese) but the cakes (coffee and walnut, lemon drizzle, chocolate brownie, and millionaire shortbread) were delicious. The scone with clotted cream and jam was also very good, and there was a Welsh cake thrown in for good measure as well. Overall, very nice afternoon tea in a grand location.

Fantastic hotel in very well kept surroundings, I'm not at all into golf nither is my wife but we found the hotel inviting and the staff friendly. We only ate in the Zest restaurant which was OK but nothing special the main restaurant was fully booked during our stay. The hotel is situated close to the town of Chepstow which we visited and enjoyed.

Great undulating testing course. It's long and magnificent old trees in abundance throughout the course with a lake to play around on the back nine. Note. Try to play when there's NO rain.

We were very disappointed when we arrived and went to the spa to book treatments only to be told that they were fully booked for the whole week end. I had been on line to try and find out which treatments they did and the cost and also wanted to book, however I could not find any spa information and there was no where to make a booking. As we had chosen this hotel for it's pool and spa we were very annoyed when told there was nothing they could do. I don't think we will choose to use this hotel again. The room was ok although the bed was only a small double and the mattress was a bit hard. The food menu in Zest was limited but reasonably good, however we thought the wine list was very limited and expensive.

Fantastic place to stay. Had two days golf with nights stay. The room was great with en suite food fantastic especially breakfast. Staff amazing.

Superb staff in a fantastic location. The hotel is lovely as well especially the reception area and the cottages around the main entrance. Worth noting there is little to no disabled access especially to the function rooms.

I didn't take advantage of the restaurant, golf course or other facilities so can't comment on them. The course did however, look very appealing. When booking the room, we had hoped to be staying in the main hotel but were instead put into the 'out buildings' closer to the course. This was no bad thing, as we could watch people playing which was nice. However, the room was very dated and although it had a large and comfortable bed, because of the humidity and heat, lack of Aircon (should be standard) and windows that could only open a jar, it made the whole experience very uncomfortable. The bathroom was well stocked but the shower/ bath could do with an upgrade. The location is perfectly positioned near the M4 & 48, the course and surroundings beautiful and proximity to Chepstow and the Wye Valley enables for a great day out. The hotel is just let down by its lack of modernisation.

The service was excellent. My son got married there last Saturday. It was fantastic, a truly memorable experience of my life. The grounds were outstanding, and so beautiful. I would recommend this resort as first class. I couldn't fault it. I will allways remember this place I hv a lot of memories here. Thank you to everyone and staff for a memorable day.

Over all it was a good experience, the room was very standard bed 4/5 bathroom 4/5 cleaning 3/5. We stayed here for Christmas party with food in the evening and breakfast 4/5.

Situated overlooking the Severn Estuary, the hotel is just outside Chepstow. With a golf course in the grounds you are greeted with warning signs about golfers crossing as you drive down the private road to the hotel. The hotel room I stopped in was in the newer building attached to the older building containing meeting room, restaurants and offices. Check-in was a breeze as I had already done most of it online. I easily updated my credit card with the reception desk and was in my room after about 5 minutes. There is short stay parking next to the door but the main car park was far. My room was a standard room booked on the Winter sale rate. It was clean and tidy and had a very comfortable bed. The fittings were new and the only thing lacking was the charging station that most Marriott's have next to the bed. Breakfast was included in my rate and served in the restaurant overlooking the golf course. Both continental and full cooked breakfasts are available. To my surprise there was an egg chef on duty also. Service throughout the hotel was excellent and I will definitely be returning.
