On a Shetland Nature — Discover Shetland trip. We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The view over the bay is lovely. All the staff were very friendly & helpful. The meals were excellent with lots of local produce & our packed lunches delicious.

Superb family run hotel looking forward to next stay.

Facilities were new (hotel was being renovated) and the staff very friendly.

Unadventurous but ok lunch menu, arriving just after a large coach party meant that the service was a little slow.

Delicious food with massive portions, proper homemade chips, served by very welcoming amd pleasant staff and a sunday carvery to die for. The views are stunning, too!

We highly recommend it! I think we're the only 2 clueless dumbdumbs that plan a trip to the Shetland islands in the middle of February, without a car but with their dog. Nonetheless, this was made possible and an unforgettable stay because of the kindness of the staff at the Magnus Bay Hotel. The food was lovely (especially the morning breakfast), and much appreciated after a 7h hike to the Eshaness cliffs. We slept amazingly well in an immense bed and in a clean and warm room, just to woke up to a snowy stunning view. The whole area is just Nature's at work, constantly changing and reminding you how small you are. Everyone was kind and helpful, and went the extra mile (much literally since we got picked up in Brae by one of the staff members). Our dog Kam loved the area and got some extra cuddles from the staff.

NICE "HAUNTING" EXPERIENCE… ah yep this one is haunted! AND IF YOU LIKE WOOD I MEAN TONS OF WOOD ASK FOR ONE OF THEIR RUSTIC ROOMS great cuisine though… I might give it another try… the views are to die for!
