Had a lovely overnight stay with dinner, the food was amazing and the bar really friendly. Catamaran trail just over the road for a nice leisurely wander into the hills and the bedroom really comfortable to return too.

Wanted a stopover on the way back to Inverness from Edinburgh. What a great find. Cosy, warm, lovely friendly atmosphere. Room 2 was huge for us, spotless, warm and a fab hot shower in the bathroom. Had a great night’s sleep after an awesome dinner in The Kirky. Breakfast is self service with a great selection and a lovely lady on hand supplying toast and anything else. Great overnight and thoroughly recommended to walkers and dog owners as the hotel is very dog friendly. Thank you xxxxx.

I stayed here alone on saturday and have never felt more welcome anywhere! The food was delicious but the customer service from Amanda (hope that's right) was outstanding! Nothing was too much! Will be back again very soon ❤️

5* stay! What a wee gem of an Inn. Spacious, clean room, with super comfy bed. The food is excellent — brekie and the two evening meals I so enjoyed. All of the staff I had the pleasure of interacting with during my time were exceptional — special mention to the amazing Amanda.

Had a great wee nights stay. Room was lovely and the hotel is super clean. Public areas are a wee bit run down but this doesn’t detract in any way. Lovely warm welcome from everyone working there and the food is great hearty big portions. Breakfast was lovely too with a good cup of coffee on the go. Well done to all the staff. We will be back.

Very yummy dinner and cosy seating by a fire place. A good variety if drinks at the bar and very nice, easy to talk to stuff! We very much enjoyed it there and can highly recommend the pies, which were better then even home made ones!

The tastiest burger I've ever had! The best place to eat and drink in the area. Bare in mind that the portions are massive so think before you order unless you are starving!

Great food and downright friendly service! Jill and bartender K (…? ) conversed with and took care of us all evening. Great fun! Thanks! And a wonderful burger (complete with egg), steak pie, and incredible mussel appetizer special.

Food is absolutely fabulous. So friendly for all the family. Staff are lovely fantastic lady's night at the kirky had a lovely time.

We didn't stay in the hotel, but stopped for lunch. All the staff were really happy and even though we ate in the bar area, the barman was over to our table as soon as any glass was empty and served to the table. Beware the portions though because of the four of us only one managed to eat it all. (the one that insisted on clearing his plate was uncomfortable. Portion 1 Man 0) Really lovely home made food. Huge portions, do not have a three course meal or you'll need a bed for the night, but hey they have boarding so maybe go for it. Great wildlife about the town, we stayed in a lodge nearby and the pics I added are just a wee bit of what you'll see.

Nice and friendly staff food good portion size good locals are also friendly ideal place to stay if doing walk hill and not far for skiing at Glenshee.

Booked for lunch today 13 adults and 1 child, staff were amazing especially Gill, the food was fantastic from starters to mains and desserts great choices, Balmoral chicken and steak pie got massive thumbs up and the sticky toffee pudding was so good we asked for some to takeaway, prices were extremely reasonable, would highly recommend and will definitely be making a return trip.

Stopped off during a bike run. Made to feel very welcome buy staff and locals. Definitely be back again.

Cosy country inn, friendly service, great value.

Beautiful house great scenery and a hot tub.

We spent a night here while snowboarding at Glenshee. The hotel is very clean, warm and the owner Teck is incredibly kind! We felt welcome from the moment we walked in and it was more like staying at friend's home that a hotel! The hotel is dog friendly, which is very nice and Teck loves dogs. The pub is part of the hotel which is really nice, a lot of the residents of the village drop in to the pub as well so it's a really great atmosphere. The rooms are have been renovated recently and the mattresses and bedding are great. No need to worry about being cold either, the rooms are well heated and there is plenty of hot, pressurized water for showers. Enjoyed a nice big breakfast too before we started our day. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to our next longer visit.

Great hotel, lovely big rooms and very friendly staff. Great food too and only a small drive to the glenshee ski centre!

My husband and I spent a great few days in this hotel. It was warm, clean and very comfortable. The fire made it especially cosy on a cold winter's night. The staff were friendly and accommodating and couldn't do enough to make us welcome. No request was too much. The breakfast was delicious as were the other lovely meals we enjoyed there. We will certainly return as there are great walks nearby with beautiful scenery. Thank you for a great time. M & d martin.

In the midst a snow storm, my husband and I happened upon the Kirkmichael Hotel. No matter the lateness they welcomed us with a lovely room, home cooked meal, and a fun evening in the bar chatting with the locals.

Free off road parking, friendly owner. The room was fresh and very clean. Free toiletries to use. Relaxing place and the breakfast was high quality and very well cooked and presented. Cannot fault a single thing. Highly recommended.
