The cafe bar was good atmosphere was great and the food we had was excellent.

£30 steak is the worst I've had in my life, if I paid £15 I'd feel like I'd had my trousers pulled down. Staff seem to develop an attitude problem when you mention the food and service isn't great.

Had a fabulous dinner last night in The Melville. Every dish served was delicious and the service and atmosphere were great. Definitely recommend if your in the area.

Great place to stop for coffee and cake when on a cycle.

Fantastic experience at the Royal, first time dining and the food was spectacular. Very varied and diverse menu, everything from a burger to lobster. Highly recommend well worth a visit.

Just had fabulous meal at this hotel. All freshly cooked and the staff are so pleasant and attentive without being too intrusive. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Visited the new Melville bar/cafe whilst cycling yesterday. Very helpful friendly service and most excellent coffee and baking. Enjoyed the coffee so much, I had two! I will be back. Recommend to cyclists as can sit outside keeping an eye on bikes although I was inside drying off on this occasion. They told me that they were getting a bike rack fitted. Message to owners — having a good track pump (suggest chained up for security) would be hugely attractive for cyclists too.

We were apprehensive regarding feedback regarding the food but can honestly say that our meals tonight were were very, very good!

My family and I had dinner tonight from the new take away menu. Food was lovely and fresh. Tasted great. Great to have this option in the village. Well done David & Michelle @ Taste at The Royal.

Had a fantastic afternoon/lunch and drinks in the Tipi tent.

A lovely beer garden. Following all the covid guidelines.

This might just be the best small hotel in the world. Snug & cosy, good food, good location and brilliant team. Thanks Morag, Sarah, Jo, Rhys, Will, Ryan, Liz, Stuart & the rest for three great stays in three months!

Great Service and vegan food.

Took in the bells here and had a lovely 6 course meal, one of the best dining experiences I have ever ever had! Kudos to the chef.

2 days in a row came in here to this place. Ignored both occasions! Absolute dive! Lazy blind and rude staff. Slovenly to say the least!

I have Coeliac and I didn’t know if the hotel would But they did definitely did do food for me they made me sandwiches and they made me soup too and desserts. So thankyou very much it was amazing that a place actually made that effort.

Enjoyed a one night stay here and it did not disappoint. Comfortable room, and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Steak was cooked to perfection, and staff were very attentive.

Great pub in the separate building just up from the main entrance. Nice beer garden but more of a pub than a family place.

Excellent gardens in Perthshire. Much more French/Italian than Scottish…

In comrie for a few days hotel bar was very nice Staff friendly food was great would return.

Food was delicious, beer garden absolutely beautiful on a sunny day. Kids and dog were allowed into beer garden while husband was inside watching footie so we chilled outside in the sun.

My husband and I just spent 2 days at the Royal Hotel, Comrie and fully enjoyed our stay. Accommodation was very good with a super comfy bed and pillows. Ensuite was big and roomy with bath/shower. We found the food to be excellent and plenty of it. We ate in the hotel our complete stay. Staff were efficient, professional and very cheery. It was obvious that they knew their residents. Non residents were treated exactly the same. Special mention for Jolene and Sarah, who went above and beyond their duties to make our stay so pleasant. I would recommend this hotel and would most certainly go back again

I wont be visiting here again in the forthcoming future. Staff are unable to offer a quality of service & only one staff member to serve behind the bar, take food orders & deal with reception/bookings too. The food is average & very expensive tbh for what you get. Very limited dessert menu and no special board on display. There's not much variety and it's very disappointing. A real let down for being the only Hotel/public bar in the centre/heart of Comrie.

Great staff casual place to have a drink and something to eat by bar or warm yourself by the fire in the libery. Head round the back for a more lively evening at the pub.

Dropped in to Royal Bar after a cold winter climb with friends, friendly bar, not too busy, warm charcoal burning stove was very welcome. Easy access to a good traditional bar.

Food was lovely the staff were very helpful, atmosphere was good.

The food was delicious and the staff is very very attentive. We were at a dinner and it seems like a good option to do events and parties.

Fabulous Hogmany 2018 in Comrie. High spot how attentive and customer focused staff in Royal Hotel are. Wonderful start to a new year. Definitely a place to visit again.

Have visited this lovely hotel and bar many times. The restaurant is one of the nicest to be found in this area. It is quality and unique and the staff are very passionate about their work. Another magical experience. Can't wait until next time.

Enjoyed lovely pot of coffee served with jug of hot milk, excellent, with plate of shortbread biscuits in comfortable lounge/library room.

Superb lunch and dinner, the chef was very accomodating, and our special diets Gluten free and dairy free were sorted without any problems.

Beautiful dinner at Royal Hotel. Obviously dog friendly, 2gorgeous black labs snuggled under tables. Hickory hot smoked salmon followed by the biggest Eton mess ever had more than compensated for the rain.

Excellent meal and service no more to be said apart from will definitely be back when in the area.

Had meal in the pub bar to the rear of the hotel, as we could take our dog in with us and the son could watch footie on TV. The food was amazing — so good we had to go back again on our last night. The steak and lamb are definitely recommended and the bar staff really friendly.

Bar was great after a day of hiking in terrible weather. The log fire kept us nice and warm.

Terrific stay I it. Great wine; and as a common wine drinker I would know lol. As I have no friends and all my family hate me I came alone : (. However the staff made me feel at home and welcome x.

We came from the US to be married in Comrie in 2004 and have returned again (Nov 07) to visit. Great place to meet all of our longtime friends from the village and to see our friend DJ Kevin Gallagher (Mr. G's DJ & Karaoke Service), who the Royal graciously books and has for years, whenever we come over… Great draft selection, a true old pub atmosphere and wonderful service… Cammy, who manages the pub, welcomed us on the afternoon we arrived with a big smile, asking us how we've been, clearly glad we were there… What more can someone "From away" ask for?
