Had to wait a while for food but it was lovely when it arrived but it was very busy.

Very friendly staff and everybody was very welcoming, especially seeing the dolphins from the bedroom window, will definitely go back.

The dinners are fantastic, you will also enjoy the sweets.

Lovely pub and great sitting on the sea front in the warm weather.

Food was half cooked only some parts of the food was actually hot.

Was rundown but now the in place in Newbiggin. Clean rooms sea front view huge Sunday lunch. Big carpark.

Really friendly local pub. Good beer. Nice people. And excellent sea-front b+b too.

Service was a bit slow, seemed a little odd to only have one bar staff on while there was a fireworks display going on literally just outside and it was very busy. Can't complain about the bar, it was clean and had a good atmosphere. The beer is decent, overall it's a good bar.

Really enjoy the Sunday roast. Perhaps I shouldn't be writing this, there maybe no room for me.

Great place to stay with excellent views and outdoor seating area looks out over the beach, promenade and sea. Ideally located beside shops, restaurants and different selections of takeaways, pubs, town square. Handy for buses into different areas. Great parking area and very reasonable room rates. Staff are very friendly and accomodating and have various gifts on sale. In the bar they have various nights like pub quiz etc. Highly recommended.

Held my wedding reception and evening party here last year. The meal was top class, service was great and the feel and atmosphere of the pub was good, also, some of my party stayed in the rooms here and they said the roms were good.

I was at the Old Ship last year. I traveled up there for a family reunion and 6 of us stayed there. It is cute, quaint and has a lovely view of the North Sea. The rooms are clean. The staff is responsive and very hospitable. The rooms are upstairs and downstairs there is a bar and dining area. They have a wonder English breakfast in the morning. Enjoy.
