A gorgeous setting, with a great selection of gins behind the bar. Lovely owners and staff, with their very own wild /tame deer that roams the loch side garden. Rooms are dated but adequate. The menu was limited and more veg needed to be served with the main. But the setting more than makes up for any short comings.

Lovely location with Gairloch and Inverewe Gardens an easy drive away. Excellent pub at Badachro. A longer drive can take you up to Ullapool, the Geopark at Knockan crag and a drive to Achiltibuie passing Stac Pollaidh to views of the Summer Isles. The hotel was ok, the small double is very small, poor reading light and no chair. Food was ok although dinner was expensive for what it was. Coffee not good. Jams in plastic tubs, white sliced toast. They need to have feedback forms to iron out details. A few small changes could make this a much better place to stay.

Room a little bit disapointing. Quite difficult to park but nice view and nice food.

Good laugh and very friendly. Breakfast very nice. Full Scottish with loads of toast and eggs cooked anyway you like. Never had dinner. Bikers welcome.

This place was amazing and the staff were nice and helpful. The rooms were a bit old fashioned but we loved that. The grounds outside were next level nice. The view and stillness were spectacular. Highly recommended.

A very quiet and upscale Hotel with excellent Cuisine and excellent Service and very helpful staff, right on The picturesque Loch Maree. Ideal for Anglers, too, as the Kitchen likes to prepare the freshly caught fish for dinner. The Rooms are very cosy, there is a Bar with a very cosy Lounge, at the Back of the Hotel a Sun terrace overlooking the Jetty and Loch Maree. Free Parking in front of the Hotel and free Wi-Fi throughout the Hotel round out my excellent Feel-good Moments and I will come back.

Wonderful welcome warm, extremely comfortable bed spotlessly clean with huge shower and perfect breakfast.

Comfortable bed, beautiful view, lovely area and hospitable hosts. Great breakfast. The Wi-Fi didnt work in my room. You need to access Wi-Fi around reception. Very short drive to a lovely woodland trail in the nature reserve nearby.

Great location but nothing else. Highly overpriced bar. Very poor Wi-Fi. Very low water pressure especially in the morning. Billions of midges outside.

A mixed experience of the Loch Maree Hotel — first off the location is amazing — spectacular setting and some of the evening views were amazing, and the Gillies bar and overall presentation of the hotel was good. Unfortunately there were a few negatives: — the service was well meaning but lacking — having to ask for things rather than being offered, and a language barrier sometimes with staff, who are not locals or British, and struggled at times with English. — the food can only be described as average — the starter and main were tasty but I can't say met any of the other 3 hotels / inns we ate at. And dessert looked bought in. Breakfast was not cooked brilliantly — with little choice and the ingredients were not high quality. — finally the room — we did not expect a loch view — and suspect may just be the one we were given, but no view — in fact the metal steps of a fire escape blocked any view of the car park — if you stay here try to get a Loch view if possible. There is plenty to like about the hotel, but I would have to think twice before staying in this hotel again.
